I'm with fitsy on the Surefire cans. I mean, once you've spent twofiftythousand dollars on 36 Surefire mounts for your couple cans, you can't really go back. And they work...

I waited 13 months for my approval on a 5.56 cal Gemtech. I got a titanium, extreme duty can rated for full auto, socom tested on m249 for christ sake. The can which was serialized portion split out on the 26th shot when I shot a coyote out of my feedtruck. Had on my Daniel Defense AR which I use exclusively for yotes. So, maybe 5 shots to adjust zero, rest were single shots on coyotes. They had roll stamped the engravings on tube too deeply and it spit across the top of "GEMTECH 5.56 GMT LE 5.56" through the T's and 5's. I called them, they admitted it was their fault and they were aware of problems, had send them can. Being as the tube was serialized portion, they couldn't just swap out to a Patrolman. Had to reapply for stamp, get fingerprinted again and wait another 12 months. Gemtech originally would not cover my $200 second stamp and they played the pass the buck bs game for a couple months but I called the owner and when he wouldn't step up, I cussed him out thoroughly and he finally covered it. Sorry had to come to that but new can has been excellent. So just because you ante up to a top end can doesn't mean there still can't be problems.

I'd love to know what they wouldn't let Mike papas talk about. Mike is usually a straight shooter
My Saker 7.62 is not as quiet as my hybrid 46 but the saker is HD more than the hybrid. People say the hybrid is crazy heavy duty but the saker is in a different world. Mine is really old and has been on several belt feds. It outlasted my rpd and my fightlight belt fed upper.
I keep forgetting people aren't like me and buy 3 guns a month.
The hybrid is lighter and quieter than my 5.56 can. I switched my 556 can to go on my rimfire stuff now because the hybrid is so nice.
I had a guide thank me for using a can on a bear hunt. He told me that he would rather hand back half of his tip if they were coming back to go towards a suppressor for a person's next hunt. The outfitter started giving discounts on hunts if they used a can. This was so their guides/ph's didn't get the tinnitus and the headaches from aholes showing up with a 7 rem mag and a tank brake. One guy hunting the same time as me showed up with a beautiful blaser with AAA full figured wood in 300winMag with a big 3 port nickel plated/engraved brake. His guide almost quit over that rifle. It was loud as hell when we were walking up to zero. My guide was like "let's go get something to eat" we shot later after that guy left. I carried a very nice and accurate Savage in 450 bushmaster with a hybrid 46. All of our shots were said to be under 100m so the bushmaster was plenty. I brought a longer rifle in case I needed longer range but it was a 338 federal. Not a giant recoiling or headsplitting magnum.

Some tests have showed that the flow through cans are quieter at the shooter's ear.

  • @JNOSNOW
    @JNOSNOW Před 6 měsíci

The older style flow cans are going to be louder in from you but quieter at the ear and less hearing loss risk at the ear and the newer ones are even better and similar quieter on AR and bolt guns.

75 percent of views on CZcams are usually people that are unsubscribed. Why would you subscribe I don't see the benefit to this except more annoying notifications. No point in it. All it does is help the CZcams creators. Which really doesn't mean anything to majority of people.

@@weldmonger1560 The user experience value I get from the subscribe feature is the subscriptions tab, which is just a feed of all videos from channels I want to follow. I just open the tab, and they’re all stacked in there, from most recent and on down.
I just pop it open and see “oh. so-and-so just put out a video that sounds interesting. maybe I’ll watch it” :)
I doubt anyone’s using subscriptions for anything other than usefulness. The feature wouldn’t really get used if that was all it did. People already vote with their views.

So what do i buy the more i read about supressors the more confused i get... so pew sciecs says 555k hux is the quietest... however everyone says that they are louder than their other supressors.. should i get a ss 36m and be able to silence all my stuff or get a dedicated 556 one??? What exact model should i buy!!

#1 what you using it for
I got an omega 36 because of the catch all idea
But i immidaitely wished instead of getting a single 1400.00 suppressor i wish i bought 3 500 or 600 dollars canns
(I see people arguing about this)
    Omega 36 1100
    Each muzzle attachment 70
    Direct thread attachment 150
#2 how does it sound not how quite it is. A bad sounding suppressor thats quite is worse then a slightly louder but sounds good suppressor...
Think fart can honda vs 5.0 coyote with a ss exhaust...
    3# how does it look
There is some sweet looking cans that sucks and some ugly cans that work great.

lets talk about the process of getting the suppressor. u pay for one + the tax stamp and then the dreaded wait time from anywhere 90+ days to even 365+ day and when it get approved by then you might have buyer regret due to I dunno...having the idle time to do more research into it ... or worst yet better product or more interesting "new" features coming out. I know we can't do anything about the wait time...but I wish there's a way to "upgrade or change" ur suppressor once it has been approved. I know the suppressor serial # is tied to the form4 application and you're tied to that suppressor you have chosen. But can it be the suppressor serial # be deferred after the ATF approval. Like you pay for the NFA tax...get approved chose ur suppressor and file the serial # so that way you chose the suppressor at the end of the approval process instead at the beginning.
