More about Gianmarco:
Gianmarco Soresi is a stand-up comedian, actor, and a little too much for some people. He’s told jokes on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Comedy Central, Netflix’s Bonding, Don’t Tell, The Real Housewives of New York for some reason, and he was a JFL New Face in 2022. He’s acted in Billy Crystal’s Here Today, Hustlers, The Last OG, and in his theater days shared the stage with some people who’ve gone on to become huge real estate agents. You can see him post the kind of crowdwork clips that are arguably destroying the artform of stand-up comedy everywhere @gianmarcosoresi and he obviously has a podcast called The Downside with Gianmarco Soresi.🎤

Hi Gianmarco, as a huge fan of yours, I would love to see you on the Cold Cuts podcast. It’s hosted by two webcomic artists; BeetleMoses and Yolo Swag Studios. I think they’re hilarious, in both their comics and their podcast. Please consider checking them out, I know in my gut it would be a great episode.
“Sashimi, Botox, and a breast reduction” is Gianmarco’s girlboss
That line was crazy lmao
Love Ali roasting Gianmarco's comparisons haha
Same! He was weirdly stuck on her canceling 😅 like geez lol have some empathy man
The song for "Russell's racism" was a delightful surprise 😂
"What are you doing? Putting sashimi on a club rider?????" I was DYING during the sashimi disbelief
New drinking game! Take a shot everytime GS compares himself to an A-list celeb
Russell looks great here. Sorry to comment on his appearance, but he does.
Ali really went on just to roast gianmarco 🤣
i had a dream about gianmarco soresi and julia from american high shorts (on youtube)
im like half awake right now but im just going to say that i DISTINCTLY remember telling her
“yeah, gianmarco is a really great comedian!! one of his strengths is crowd work, however, one of his weaknesses is that he’ll have a mental breakdown at some point. but in a week he’ll be happy gianmarco sooo”
and everyone i talked to kept calling him depressed gianmarco (different from normal gianmarco…?)
also the whole plot of the dream was gianmarco having a mental breakdown, thats what prompted me telling julia that because she was my running buddy…??? help
lmao this is so weird, Gianmarco has been infiltrating my dreams also
@@ambylam really??? 😭
@@jiiuux2yes! I don't remember much but most recently it was in a living room with white couches, Russell was there, and somebody else I don't remember, and the only thing I really remember is Gianmarco laughing extremely hard.
@@ambylam i bet it was a real fun dream 😭!!
You make me wish for Gianmarco to be in my dreams 😭
I hate how normalized things like Botox and fillers are :/ it fosters unhealthy beauty standards
I'm with Russel on the sashimi bit XD There is sometimes half decent sushi to be found in smaller towns but the thing is most of these places don't doordash/pickup.
Honestly gonna need more lesbian comedians on here pls get Ashley Gavin i would be so happy
I will die happy if they get Jessica Kirson on the pod
@@emmyrose233 literally yes
She was on the podcast a couple years ago
"anxiety isn't a disorder," wrongly says Ali, who, I think, 10 minutes before, was decrying internet doctorates?
the lack of self awareness during that part was astounding.
That and "no one's a victim... To me". And then trying to make it seem like anyone that's talking about someone from the past being abusive means they badmouth everyone (or even most people).
Or saying you had an abusive ex is a bad look because there's something that made you fall in love with them, not realizing that some people get together with either abusive people because they don't want to be alone or that people can change over time, some for the better and others not.
Some pretty horrible things to say.
it seems like she believes she, as an outside observer, has the ability to tell which relationships are legitimately abusive from ones where people are simply incompatible, which I find to be an arrogant belief.
she also seems to have completely missed the idea that abusive people are intentionally manipulative, so they are good at hiding their abuse and making the people they victimize seem crazy. Idk if it's caused by privilege or just a lack of empathy, but it's not a good look either way.
That fucking Werewolf moon shot joke is a fucking sleeper hit. I hope you use that one stage, silly shit is PRIMEO comedy
I find Ali saying no one is a victim to be a bit… off mark. At least personally. Like there are definitely people who are victims 😭 I dont know if I misunderstood her but that part was a bit… 😬
Putting sashimi on a rider for a club is wild. I'd be scared go do that even on the coast where fresh fish is easy to come by lol
Were I live it is 80 miles to the nearest sushimi😂😂😂
I sympathize w your plight in going from America to Australia... I have done this several times both ways during my teenagehood in Economy Class and it is very much *not fun* ! It's fun to watch the movies and just not be "in the real world" for a certain long amount of time, though tbf.
Bei g the producer in the bavkground laughi g at these has to be carazee😂
Sashimi rider is hilarious
The bigger sesh room is SOO fucking cool.
Haven’t been to the smaller room
Great episode, lots of laughs and fun. The sashimi talk 😂
Absolutely LOVE that Ali was on here! Subscribed to the channel just because of her 😊
hehe just watched the latest WHGS episode with ali so this is funny
42:14 - its so funny that people cant inmocently say that they "love kids" anymore
Digged through Gianmarco's IG for the hiphop videos. May have missed them but I did find him doing the role of a toilet, so I guess that's a win.
When are the Russell's dog dying and Russell's racism jingles gonna be on Spotify?
Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise? I thought not. It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you. It’s a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life… He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself
Narcissistic Personality Disorder is very rare. Clinical levels of anxiety are very common. A specific anxiety disorder is somewhat common, but it is also a temporary symptom of other issues. When I was diagnosed with ADHD at 28, they also gave me an anti anxiety medicine. The uncontrolled anxiety was caused by the uncontrolled ADHD so I didn't need the medication for long. But I did have clinical levels of anxiety for a while. And specific anxiety disorders are also not all that unusual. It is a much more common mental health issue than narcissism. And it is exacerbated by the economic conditions young people face which have been getting progressively worse for the last 50 years. It was very hard being a young person in the early 2000s when I was young. It is much harder now.
From a midewest state as an Asian, it ain’t that terrible. All the fish imported here is frozen so to think otherwise is silly
The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't.
In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the missile is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA. However, the missile must also know where it was.
The missile guidance computer scenario works as follows. Because a variation has modified some of the information the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is. However, it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vice-versa, and by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be, and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error.
Ali comes off as so standoffish and angry at Gianmarco for deigining her to stoop to the level of a normal podcast lol. Seriously though, the banter did feel a bit more mean spirited than other pods we've seen on here.
Yes she keeps trying to correct him. Let the man live his life! So much unsolicited advice.
Ali Kolbert is rapping good
54:40 best joke I've heard all year and the men just ignore it.
No one outside NYC or LA knows what sasheemee is lol. Some poor sap has to google it
sashimi
@@mysteriouslyseeing thanks. Stiil have no clue what it is lol. Please dont explain. Im trying to make a point lol
Gianmarco is a Cane???
Nah ngl she got you with the age thing. Your feelings are valid but also, the most accomplished comedians people tend to know are older white guys with a lot of experience, precisely because they are seen as ageing into their jobs/roles (as it is elsewhere in the workforce for men in general). Obviously there are exceptions.
Hey Gianmarco, I told my parents about us.
Ali: Nobody is a victim.
Also Ali: Why are you asking me questions about my life? Is this some sort of comedy podcast?
Okay horse euthanasia info by way of my manager who grew up in a horse family
Don't read if animal death is gonna ruin your day
Putting down horses is a bummer because they're huge and they collapse and it's a whole affair
Some vets will administer a sleeping medication first, but the horse still collapses suddenly
You don't do it while the horses are asleep because you pay a lot extra for an after-hours vet call (capitalism am I right)
Also
You gotta dispose of the body
Your vet's not gonna cremate it, so you have to bury it
Which means sometimes dragging the horse's corpse around with a backhoe
Or chaining it to a truck
Why you put horses down
They're suffering, but also
Horses are very expensive, especially if you don't have land so you have someone else house and feed it
So everyday that horse is alive and suffering
You're paying for it
Like around $100 a day or more in some cases
Horses can die of broken hearts
They form deep bonds with other horses so
(This is wild)
Some people will put down a healthy horse if its bonded partner is being put down
Because these massive beasts have fragile hearts
And why make it suffer the loss of its lifelong friend if the grief will kill it too
Please feel free to correct below, I am a secondhand source of info but goddamn if I had to learn it maybe so should you
