My childhood home phone number had “911” inside of it. Imagine the terror when my neighbor and I try to call my mom to ask if we can play longer at her house, and 911 picks up instead.
As an emergency service worker if you dont know where you are use what 3 words. Most centres you call are aware of it. Gives very exact coordinates. My colleagues in control the phone operators get a starting salary of around £24k

Yeah, this is emergency service worker lore, but the regulars don't know what you're talking about.
@@MrSaneAsylum I looked it up, it's an app/service that translates your coordinates into a unique 3-word phrase that you can then tell to emergency services, who can then use the what3words service to translate it back to coordinates.
I'm not sure what countries use it, but it sounds very helpful if people would have a hard time reading or saying their numerical coordinates off of Google maps or something!
Lol I remember being in a similar situation as Ty in undergrad. Everything he said brings back so many memories. Definitely true to get out while you can because you either get into more sketchy things with sketchy people or jail.
You can text 911 too. It doesn’t always need to be a call. If youre in a city, be prepared to be put on hold on the phone.
My ex boyfriend got into drug dealing through weed too. He had a gun and everything. I was never part of it but he made me do so many different drugs. Honestly I'm glad I'm away from all that now and none of my friends or family even know about it.

One of the reasons that Florida and the South in general is a little bent is that it's a place where people end up. It's the literal end of a lot of roads. It's why Key West is gay and weird, it's why most gay and weird places are that way. It's where the people who don't fit anywhere end up finding a place. Then you get generations of that building up and you can really feel the difference in 'normal'. I spent several winters in Key West and hitchhiked through the state to get there. Very strange in a lot of ways.
