    It's not as confusing as it looks, only looks confusing because it can do so much. If you like milk-based espresso drinks this machine will not disappoint. Got mine last week and I love it!! I'm a latte drinker. I've made about 8 lattaes and the best one was made w/ the Indyra from India, a level 10 in intensity. Milk froth and texture is perfect for lattae art!! Way better than Starbucks and I made it myself!!

    Does anyone know what “Flat White” refers to? It’s one of the settings & I’m unfamiliar with the term. Also, how do you make a dense foam, without a lot of air? My first few attempts are producing a foam with a lot of air AND the foam is cold even though I have it set on the hottest setting. If you have any insights into these issues it would be appreciated.

    • @nespresso
      @nespresso  Před 6 lety +1

      Hi Carla. The term flat white simply refers to an espresso-based coffee with milk. It is prepared by pouring microfoam (steamed milk with small, fine bubbles with a glossy or velvety consistency) into a single or double shot of espresso.
      If you're having trouble with getting the correct consistency of your milk, our Technical Specialists will be happy to help with this. Please call freephone 0800 442 442 and select option 3 to be transferred directly to the team.

    Hi, purchased the machine about 1 year ago. Its still working fine except I didn't manage to get frothed milk for latte art. I tried different milk temperatures, different fat levels, different machine settings, different milk filling levels, different can positions, bumping or turning the can,...I can't count the combinations. The result was in all cases: the lower milk in the can is to thin and disappears in the coffee, the upper milk ist too foamy and covers the coffee. I really never got a foam suitible for latte art. I reallly would appreciate either kind of a manual with all settings and steps or a a video showing the whole procedure. Thanks!

      Hello Josef B.,
      our Coffee Ambassador recommends from private experience:
      - Use long-life semi-skimmed milk
      - Select milk foam setting 2 (Caffè Latte recipes)
      - Select temperature (hot or warm)
      - As soon as the milk has finished frothing, swirl the jug so that the milk is in motion and the milk and foam do not separate.
      This way the milk foam is not too light, not too firm and not creamy and should work.
      Kind regards, your Nespresso Team 😊

    My friend has the same machine but his always produces hot and frothy lattes (I've been testing out the same settings on both machines for two weeks now). On mine, if I set the froth level high (6-7), the milk comes out lukewarm, and still not that frothy. If I set the froth level lower (3-5) so I can get hotter milk, the milk flows as if has just come out of the fridge. At that point, I'd just use a microwave, not a frother... I'm very sad 😢

      Hi Tasneem, you can use non-dairy milks with this machine. We recommend using a barista blend if available for the best froth.

    Don’t bother.. machine gives up after 6 weeks & just blows bubbles when heating milk.. doesn’t even heat up the milk now. Sent off for repair..come back still faulty & with freshly dented housing.
    Sent back now for a second time. Nespresso were kind enough to send out a faulty pixie machine whilst I wait.
    Cheers 👎🏻

      I have the exact same problem. I got this used on eBay. It did some ok-ish frothing a couple of times, now it's bubbling for 10 seconds and the milk is still cold with no froth whatsoever. I'm going to contact Breville but I'm kind of disappointed with this brand.

      First time repair was a dud with damage to the unit. It’s only the tip & holes to keep an eye on for blockage. 2nd time round repair nailed them to change the internal pump unit & heater. Running like a beauty since.

      @@Melissa001 Yeah it is sound. Would recommend extended cover if they offer it so you’ve got the back up after 12 months. Well worth it if you come out of warranty and it starts to fail.
      Try stick to nespresso pods for the best quality. Stick to aluminium pods with cheaper brands like Starbucks and Lor. Take the pods back if there not well pressurised because you’ll see a big difference in the shots. Stay away from cheap plastic pods as it’s just swill coffee!
      They advise freshest milk you can get..no UHT milk.
      This ones pushing twelve months old now & still going strong. Fingers crossed it stays that way 👍🏻

    SO, this machine is not capable of mixing in the milk by itself. It is just a capsule machine + a milk frother. Who's the genius behind it? Add 100E to the price and get yourself a real coffee machine.

      Why ?

    • @roey3039
      @roey3039 Před 5 lety

      Because I have it, and I'm not satisfied with it. to be specific, the minimum level of the milk tank is too high for me, and now every time I want a cappuccino I have to make a mug. and the froth is not so stable. in addition, there are no auto capsule removal.
      I had before, the Nespresso Expert Machine, and I feel I made a really terrible mistake. the machine in the video is really beautiful, and seams like it more professional, but in fact not so.
      hope you won't repeat my mistake.

      Only looks confusing because it can do so much.
