    What is the price of this Nespresso ? Can you use regular coffee grounds, instead of the pods ?

    Is there a way to do a cleaning cycle for the other side? Where the coffee comes out from like I can with my Vertuo machine?? Every associate I've spoken to says to descale, but I shouldn't have to descale every week...

    I do this everyday and it still shows that I need to clean - just can’t get the orange light off. Very disappointed, as apart from this problem, I love the machine. Mine doesn’t have the instructions on the top like this one. I think it the model before.

    Had my machine a few years now, love it but now i have a message after every milk steam when making a latte, it tell me my steam wand requires cleaning. I follow the steps as in the video as i have done in the past, but when I’ve completed the programme and make a coffee the clean steam wand message appears, even though its clean. No matter how many times i run the steam clean wizard it never clears this message. Ive even tried descaling the machine and a factory reset. The milk froths ok but the message will not disappear. Is this a software issue or something else

    Cleaning the wand tip is a nightmare. In the video, the gent with the white sleeves uses the light finger touch to unscrew the wand tip. In real life, for us, it won't unscrew and we keep our machine very clean. We're able to unscrew the chrome tip but the black plastic tip won't unscrew. We have soaked the wand end in a cup of scalding hot water for 20 minutes. It won't unscrew. We have used a rubber jar opener to get a better grip. It won't unscrew. I could try a big pair of pliers but that would damage it. So now, courtesy of Nespresso, we will probably have to pay to ship the entire unit to their repair facility and pay to have a new tip installed. Maintaining this machine is not easy. Very unhappy customer.

      Definitely not ideal, but you might be able to get them to just send you a new tip. If they won't own up to it, for less than the cost of shipping that beast in you could buy a new one ($15). www.breville.com/us/en/parts-accessories/parts/sp0011396.html

      Let’s face it, if you google this machine, and the model before,this is the major problem- the cleaning or not getting a win with the wretched steam wand. Very poor design.

    • @stevebowman3009

      The wand tip is the chrome cover you removed. The tool is used to unscrew it from the black steam nozzle. You have unscrewed the wand tip, the black nozzle is one piece. Bit confusing if you have removed the chrome cover before the video instructor tells you to remove it. Hope this helps even if a long time after your querie.

    Do you complete the 10-minute clean step prior to dismantling the steam tip parts for cleaning? Or do you do the 10-minute step once you've cleaned the steam tip parts? Thanks

    • @nespresso
      @nespresso  Před 6 lety

      Hi Katherine, these are two different processes. If you're running the clean cycle or descaling the machine, please refrain from removing the steam nozzle. If you simply wish to clean the steam wand, you would utilize the tool beneath the water tank to do so and follow any steps provided in your instruction manual. Please let us know if we can be of any further technical assistance. Thanks and have a good day.
