Dimash asked Maestro Krutoy to make a version of Ave Maria for him. Dimash is Muslim, I believe Igor Krutoy is Jewish. So a prayer or hymn without words allows it to be whatever the listener needs it to be. It might not have been intended or it may have been. They together created music to reach your heart, no mater race, religion or country.

I'm an atheist and I cried when I first heard this, so I think they managed to create art that touches whoever hears it. We're all humans.
Incidentally- mother Mary (Maria) is also revered in the Muslim religion. Something I learned from other dears.
I believe, Igor and Dimash created new Ave Maria without any words, so this gorgeous piece can reach any one on the planet, regardless of their religion and beliefs. This version of Ave Maria is timelessness and without borders. Dimash is an angel. Angels doesn't need any words and language to reach your heart and soul. The voice says everything. Dimash sings in a language that anyone can feel and understand. Absolutely stunning masterpiece. ❤️

Very well said. Just a slight variation. I think it's more of sirens of the sea than angels. Angels don't sing and there is no evidence that to be true because nobody has seen them in their real forms, except the Prophets.
Notice at the beginning when Dimash is getting ready to sing you hear the heartbeat slowing down before stopping then Dimash sings its like the passing of life to be greeted by the angels. To me this is the closest you will get to heaven without going there

But isn't Ave Maria a worship song for the Virgin Mary?? It is done by humans. What does that have to do with passing or angels?? Even if this version was written by Igor the phrase Ave Maria is a worshiping phrase from Luke 1:28a.

Universal… wordless… reaching to everyone regardless of beliefs. Then his voice, it’s so perfect that you listen to without thinking of how difficult actually to sing this song. The sound of nature as it should be, beautiful and flawless. While anyone else who tried to sing like that possibly would make the techniques obvious because of how difficult they are, Dimash make them disappear as if they are so easy.

Ave Maria has always been a prayer/invocation for the peace and protection of mankind. I believe it is the spirit of it, rather than the words that inspired Dimash to call Igor for its composition in the most universal of languages - music. Definitely a historical masterpiece of angelic sounds that surely must resonate with every soul. Thanks for this reaction!

BRAZIL - MTR Igor explains how he created the song AVE MARIA at Dimash's request: Italians like to say that any composer is worth exactly as much as his latest work, i.e. all previous successes and achievements do not count... I was very aware of this rather controversial and categorical statement from representatives of this very musical country (both past and present) and began to consider my new compositions through the prism of the Italians... One evening, about three months before the 'New Wave', Dimash called me and asked if I could write 'Ave Maria' for him, explaining that I wanted to sing something in that style... As it happened, I had a free evening and gladly sat down at the piano and, remembering the Italian formula for responsibility, worked spiritedly until I achieved the desired result... After a few days for the composition to "rest" in my ears, soul and heart, I sent it to Dimash, who replied within half an hour that it was exactly what he wanted to hear. And, of course, the reception and applause given to Dimash by the audience at New Wave show the joy of doing what I love, of writing for such a genius singer, of causing deep emotion in public, and of being in demand... Just an essay on "What is happiness"?

Dimash's extended notes at the end of a piece -- From the age of 7 through adulthood, Dimash swam three hours per day, every day, as part of his vocal training to build stamina, lung capacity, and breath control. He still swims one hour per day, no matter where he is. Also, no hot or cold drinks since age 16 to preserve his vocal cords.

Igor had already been thinking about something Italianate for Dimash, so when his message came he sat down & basically had it the same evening. One of those synchronistic inspirations that happen so often with Dimash. This incredible, spiritual piece needed to be in the world at this time ❤️ The sounds at the beginning & end are supposed to mimic the sounds of the universe picked up by Hubble. So this is truly a song of universal love, and therefore it has no words ❤️

Russian composer, Igor Krutoy wrote this song specially for Dimash at his request. As Igor put it:

I listened very carefully to the fairly controversial and categorical statement made by representatives of this very musical country (both in the past and in the present), and began to look at my new compositions from the Italian perspective... It just so happens that I had the evening off, and I was happy to sit down on the piano and, remembering the Italian liability formula, worked inspiredly until I achieved the desired result... And, of course, the reception and applause given to Dimash by the audience at New Wave showed how happy it was to do what you love, to write for such a singer who has a genius for music, to evoke deep emotions in the public and to be in demand…
In fact, Igor had already semi-retired earlier, but he came out of semi-retirement to work with Dimash. In a Russian TV interview, Igor said his mother had told him he needs to write songs for younger singers. But he replied that there aren’t any younger singers who can sing his songs. That’s why he decided to retire... but then he met Dimash. Together, the two of them have created many beautiful new songs. Igor writes specially to cater to Dimash’s exceptional range, ability and technique.

He is a messenger of our Creator, though at the same time he is just a young Muslim boy, a human being. Two years of pandemia , then events in his country and now these devastating things in Russian speaking world with lots of casualties on both sides. And what he produced by this time? Stranger, Fly Away,and ,finally, Ave Maria!Those performances are like premonitions of the events. Hope that vicious cycle stops soon and we will witness beautiful Peace soon! Praying for it!

There have been so many different compositions of the Ave Maria - apparently 3000 of them. This is Igor Krutoy's take.
If you listen to Cassini's and Schubert's you can hear elements of both. It is an interesting piece with inspiration from both.

Igor Krutoy composed this specifically for Dimash at Dimash's request. There are many versions of Ave Maria, Schuberts is the one you are most familiar with. This is not that. :) This is stunningly beautiful, and masterfully done. Definitely Dimash's angel voice and fantastic arrangement by Igor. Also, Dimash is Muslim, Igor is Jewish, so the take is not Christian. Thank you for your observations and thoughts.

Hi Bud, Brilliant, informative reaction ro this phenomenal piece. You were spot on, Dimash asked Igor to compose this for him, to create a vocalise version. It is based on Schuberts original music and uses only three notes, apparently after sending this to Dimash he replied within a half hour saying 'Perfect ! ' It's a masterpiece. 👍👍😊😊

"Ave María" by composer Igor Krutoy is a variation on the opening theme (not the introducción, but the singing part) of Schubert's melody adapted to Dimash's voice in order explore only the three opening notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note:like a leap from dark to light, which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (dark to light)!

On the other side Schubert’s music composition (a lead) in 1825 was called Ellens dritter Gesang, based on a Walter Scott poem “The Lady of the Lake” and it was not Intended to be a religious piece originally. The Ave Maria as it is mostly known was an arrangement made a long time after. Dimash Ave María was composed by Igor Krutoy. Dimash voice is indescribable beautiful and moving ❤️🎤🌹🌹🌹👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Dimash loves the various Ave Maria and I believe it is during Love is Like a Dream where Dimash uses a short snippet from one of the Ave Maria. Dimash and Igor Krutoy have collaborated a number of times since Igor came out of retirement to work with Dimash. Dimash asked Igor to compose a new Ave Maria for him to sing as a vocalize. Although there are overlapping influences, it is an original composition. Of course beautifully sung, it did initially remind me of an étude or study because of the chromatic progressions. Still, great reaction and analysis!

Dimash always performs out of his heart, not to set any records of ability or specifics for teaching, although God has placed him in this position partly for that purpose, and to open up minds.
This is purely healing and refreshment mixed with wonder (and worship for some), a spiritual experience.
@@dennismcdonnell7853 not at all! I embrace and enjoy music, but the feelings are separate from the technicality. Dimash is a pure soul and his music - although technically as perfect as humanly possible - is still based on composition. The composition evokes the structure of an étude, but anyone else performing this study would not be able to provide the same emotions that Dimash does. I’ve also listened/watched this performance many times - both independently and as reactions. I’ve both experienced and witnessed the healing quality that Dimash’s vocals produce through this understated masterpiece. My comment does not detract from this truth. It was purely an observation from my years of having played many studies for cello and piano.

Schubert's Ave Maria is the one that comes to mind first because of its extensive ceremonial and liturgical use. This new Hail Mary vocalized masterfully and wonderfully by Dimash is an original work by the great musician, composer and pianist Igor Krutoy, (also a very successful businessman, and wealthy show business entrepreneur). It is not even similar to the classic Schubert or Gounod which are the best known. Although it bears some resemblance to another (of the many Ave Maria's that exist), the aria by the Russian composer Vladimir Vavilov (sometimes erroneously attributed to Giulio Caccini), but this one is neither a version, much less a plagiarism. Krutoy composed it at Dimash's request. That it doesn't have any letters is also very striking. I think it is a hymn to unity and harmony among human beings. A way of saying no that no matter how we worship God, we can all be saved and enjoy the Divine Glory. And if it is sung by someone whose voice and presence suggest being before an Angel, the message is even clearer. It is a beautiful work dedicated to the mother of Jesus created by a Jew and sung by a Muslim. Something very significant and also symbolic in my opinion, one more proof that God has chosen Dimash as Messenger of Peace, although perhaps he doesn't know it himself.

This is a whole new Ave Maria. No adaptation. Schubert’s Ave Maria was not initially written as an Ave Maria. Bach’s Ave Maria was written about a hundred years before Schubert. Liszt also had a couple versions. All this to say that this version is as unique as the many others.

Great Reaction and Interpreation. It was Dimash who asked Igor Krutoy (the pianist) and #1 composer in Russia (who came out of retirement to work with Dimash whenever possible--he has become a mentor and almost like a father) to write this vocalize version. It uses the base chords of both Schubert and Gounod - which I feel is brilliant on the part of Dimash. Because there are so many languages on the planet, he didn’t want actual words to interfere. Just notes and emotion - it becomes a universal performance that everyone can feel.

I also hear more of Vavilov's "Ave Maria" (sometimes attributed to Caccini, but the author is Vavilov). Descending five notes in a row can be said to evoke that melody. But in every note and in every sound Igor Krutoy. I really like it =)

Yes this is an Igor Krutoy composition at the behest of Dimash. This also sounds quite similar to the orchestration for Caccini's version of Ave Maria. I don't believe Igor has spoken on this as to where his main inspiration came from but it would be interesting to find out.
May I suggest that nothing on the stage where Dimash appears with Krutoi is done without relevance to the theme of the music. The black and white suit of Dimash - white top and black bottom - White for hope and black for despair. The three initial lower notes of despair, then the fourth higher note of hope. Repetition of the same all through the composition and then towards the very end the higher note prevails. Hope over despair. Actually one does not need religion to deal with the question of despair and hope. It is a universal state of human kind. Every small detail from lighting, design and colours are minutely studied and executed.
