Today on Hearts of Iron 4 we'll be continuing the scenario on the Great Kerfuffle Redux mod from a couple of weeks ago where as France I was locked in a stalemate for years. Can I somehow break free and capitulate Germany?

@@zechmech369 "All Quiet on the Western Front" is actually a book about WW1 written by a veteran of the war. If you wanted to play on the title while making it different, maybe make it 'All Quiet on the Eastern Front'? Since there wouldn't be an eastern front in your story, presumably

Looks like the real thing here: opening new fronts pretty much every week who are doomed to fail, using the same tactic to try defeat the opponent which doesn't work and have no supplies what-so-ever due to bad infrastructure XD Good job, Alex. In my Great War game (as Germany) it was 1928 and the Entente had 40million casualties, Central Powers 10mil, which atleast 8mil casualties were from Britain's obsession with naval invading Yugoslavia and failing
I never got to finish the endless war because the mod got outdated and I forgot about it
40 million Entente casualties would be like the entire population of France at the beginning of the war.
@@seppiya7470 No ones ever praised hoi for being accurate lol. It is a lot but still iirc the majority were Britain and France, before Russia collapsed it was 60mil total, they had 20mil casualties alone

I don't do endless war, because of division spam. Once I completely annhialated the Entente by October 27th, 1914. The Original Great War Mod is really op when you spam only 18 width divisions with the 7-2 template.

For the supply issues: there is actually a bug/feature in this mod that increases the supply requirement per battalion with each additional battalion in a division - that means that 40W needs a ridiculously high amount of supplies.
I love how in this mod you can actually play until 1945. So you can have an entire alt timeline.

I think its interesting that even though the war lasted 4 years longer in this timeline, less people died. But then again I guess the game doesn't consider civilian deaths so maybe it was more

Hey ! Nicely done. U also could micro more instead of battleplanning. It wastes your equipment and manpower. U need to make attack specific provinces (mainly plains) from many directions, aiming to do encirclements. If u did 40 withds, u could do that and it would be like knife through butter. Spamming 20 withds isn’t as effective as doing small amounts of 40 withds. But in general u did very good, comrade Alex

The definition of insanity is trying something over and over always expecting a diffrent outcome. I think alex is just roleplaying the french leader.
Also, most of your divisions are attacking with the -25% training penalty. Just training them up to no penalty would help a lot

You should try Monarchist Canada In the Great War mod. It's a really cool focus tree, and it enable you to maybe even acutally defeat the US.

Could be the Iron Storm alternate history world, where WW1 lasts until the 1960's because Sturnberg killed Trotsky in battle, destroyed the Bolsheviks and made a Russo-Mongol Empire fueled by zealotry to their divine emperors. Nukes have not yet been invented in this world but the game starts off with rumors of a "super weapon" being developed by the Russian Mongols and your character is supposed to find it deep into enemy lines.

I wonder what the difference is between Rambler and other Hoi4 youtubers that he is so afraid to say words like War and other words like that, but the others aren't all that concerned? I mean ISP says these things all the time and he seems to be doing fine.
I know its because CZcams has a thing against certain words, but I cannot believe that all of the words he is trying to avoid are all banned on youtube. I mean, I dont mind the odd Kerfuffle but it is a bit weird to hear him read the descriptions and then stop when he comes to certain words so he can think of something else to say.
