Japan just straight up invade all of Eastern Asia to “expand” their empire and killed 15x more people than the US have in Iraq and not just a quick bombing, Japan brutally murdered anyone in their path, aswell as conducting biological experiments, with the most notorious one being Unit 731, so don’t try to change the subject of target to the US because what Japan did deserved far more than just 2 nukes

Like we've even seen Sunil Chhetri literally begging for support openly a few years ago. England are one of the top teams in popular sports like Football, Cricket, Rugby,etc and they're also good in many other sports as well. Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour and Western military bases in South East Asia triggered the liberation of Asia. Japan was the only non - white country that had an army, navy and an air force at the beginning of WW2 in 1939 to confront Western colonialism. The British Empire in Asia collapsed after the Imperial Japanese Navy chased the Royal Navy from the Indian ocean. Though Japan lost the war its legacy is the liberation of people in European colonies in both Asia and Africa. There was no intention not even a false promise among Western colonial countries to give independence to European colonies in 1939. Japan was the only major power that openly declared liberation of Asia as its goal and fought on the footing ' Asia for Asians'.

    @OitaOscar Před měsícem

    One very significant element of Japanese culture that is very often overlooked is that Japan never adopted Lex Talionis into its culture. In fact, Japan is one of the very few cultures of the world that have this character. In most countries of the world, the most primitive form of justice is "an eye for an eye". Mahatma Gandhi said "An eye for an eye makes everyone blind", which exposes that anything worse than "an eye for an eye" was not on his mind. But before Hammurabi's Code stipulated that "eye for an eye" was justice, multiplied revenge - a thousand eyes for an eye - was the norm. The idea of Lex Talionis spread across the world slowly but never reached the North American Native population and some other peoples. It evidently had not yet reached Japan when Prince Shotoku penned the Seventeen Article Constitution in the 7th century which said "Value peace (wa) over all else" without stipulating what the consequences should be if peace was broken. Due to this, the Japanese throughout history, have forgiven assaults and offences that normally would have started wars - which was often misinterpreted by the assailants as signs of weakness - until they finally snapped and committed thousand-fold retaliations. The Chinese, who have adopted and incorporated Lex Talionis into their culture thousands of years prior, never understood this about Japan. Hundreds of Japanese civilians were slaughtered in Dengchow, for example, shortly before the Japanese troops killed hundreds of thousands in Nanking. Atrocities during wartime is inexcusable. However, they are often preventable if the parties involved understood each other better.

      Nukes were justified cause the land invasion of Japan would have been even more terrible also Japan was planning to release the Black death in West Coast of US, so they were pretty barbaric.

      @@siddharthtyagi8980 I'm sure nukes cannot be justified even against hitler or Churchill the most barbaric rulers of their times, Do you know about the bengal famine caused by churchill ? I'd still not judge his empire to be nuked, Imperial Japan was much lesser of an evil.

      You clearly dont know the extent of the war crimes japan commited..
      Look up "unit 731"..
      Doesn't mean nuking was justified but the act of nuking them doesn't absolve them of the absolute barbaric way they acted in that period .

      @@nkbhd2292 I'm sure there are very few individuals and groups who alone are responsible for millions of deaths, Churchill was one of them, he forced millions to die in "his" war, specially those people that only had to fight because they were enslaved, Churchill and his nation is the most deserving for a nuke in this world, even more than nazis and hitler, atleast they didn't enslaved millions to die for them and then brits didn't even acknowledged their wrong doings even after decades ! let alone say sorry, No one could have counter reasonable argument to that.

      But this has nothing to do with churchill,
      We are talking about imperial japan here so bringing up colonial imperialism is just weird..
      Is anyone making the point here that they were good people??
      They are both awful. But we know how awful brits were, but very few people know the realities of japan cause it has been whitewashed by the cute weeb culture..
