Installation of an electrochromatic (self-dimming) mirror - based on Opel Corsa D

Between the movies for Skoda, again something for Opel owners. Installation of the self-dimming interior mirror.
The mirror is enough to connect with two cables (+ 12V and ground - PIN 1 and 2) for it to work. But for full operation and brightening after opening the door and after turning on the rear, an additional 2 signals are needed - ground after opening the door (PIN 3 - can be pulled from the interior lighting lamp) and + 12V after turning on the reverse (PIN 4).
The reverse switch signal can be drawn from the power supply of the reversing light bulb. The cable can be found under the threshold housing or directly at the lamp plug - the choice is the installer. The second solution was chosen in the film, due to the problem of disassembly of the front threshold in the 5-door version after face lifting (problem with removing the bonnet opening lever).
When routing the cable from the reversing light, a 2-wire harness was used. The other wire was used for the mirror power supply, from the rear running light. This saved work when connecting the power supply from another place (e.g. from the lighter), and anyway, the mirror should work after dark when the lights are on.
The photochromatic mirror has a slightly longer handle than the standard one. Therefore, originally such a mirror is mounted a little higher on the glass. Hence the original cover does not adhere to the headliner. To improve this, there are two: either remove the handle from the glass and glue it at the appropriate height, or fit a new hole in the cable cover. The video shows the second solution.
Finally - as usual, a short action presentation. After 2 weeks of use on long autumn evenings I can say that it had to be done earlier :-)

Mam takie fabrycznie, świetna sprawa. Nie wiecie czy lusterka boczne też mogły mieć tą opcję?

Lusterka boczne nie powinny być fotochromatyczne.

Cześć! Właśnie zamontowałem lusterko tylko mam jeden problem, otóż obudowa odkleja mi się od szyby. Przykleiłem ją taśma dwustronna i wogole nie może się utrzymać. Czy wiesz jaka taśma byłaby najlepsza albo jaką ty kleiles ?

Najpierw kleiłem dwie warstwy taśmy do mocowania ekranu smartfona do obudowy. Ale było cienko i po czasie rzeczywiście odpadło. Później wziąłem coś takiego grubszego (w tym stylu jak w linku) allegro.pl/oferta/tasma-nano-tape-dwustronna-ver-21-przezroczysta-5m-10875192872
i trzyma chyba od roku. Ciężko się to co prawda docina bo się klei i ciągnie, ale po dociśnięciu trzyma lepiej. Zobaczymy jak długo

@@test-o-matik8983 no i właśnie, kupiłem nowy uchwyt żeby przykleić go wyżej dzięki czemu ta obudowa zaczepiła by sie o oryginalne uchwyty, ale niestety dolny uchwyt blokuje "wejście" lusterku przez co nie da się go zamontować. Kupiłem taśmę w sklepie lakierniczym dwustronna gąbkowa i teraz trzymie jak ulał ;) A wolną przestrzen zakleiłem oleiną do mebli czarną

@@test-o-matik8983 a i mam pytanie, będa jeszcze jakies filmy z Corsy? Bo nie ukrywam chciałbym zobaczyć np. wymiane licznika na ten z większym wyświetlaczem :)
Ja na razie wstawiłem u siebie pakiet światło, oryginalna nawigacje CD60, lusterko fotochromatyczne i jak narazie to tyle, mało jest poradników zagłębiających te tematy a szkoda
