    If you're new to my channel and videos, hi! I'm Evan Edinger, and I make travel vlogs of all the exciting places I visit. I started travel vlogging about 8 years ago because I wanted to see more of the world and be able to watch back some of my adventures. I also make weekly comedy videos every Sunday on my main channel usually revolving around funny differences between British vs American things! Anyway, thanks for stopping by!

    Well done!!! I'm impressed! This was my 25th Thanksgiving, as an adult in charge, and I'm just now feeling as if I have it down, but you even made fried onions and a pumpkin pie FROM SCRATCH! Good for you!! I can tell you have a Thankful heart after all you were going through this time last year. Happy for you. 😊🦃

    I'm studying in the Netherlands this semester and did not realize how much I'd miss Thanksgiving until it actually rolled around. This video felt like a hug. It was so nice to see everyone working together and enjoying each other's company. I hope you guys had the very best day! The turkey looked wonderful!

    All from scratch?? That's amazing! We don't ever do any of it from scratch😂😂 and we didn't even cook this year. We had Jack In The Box delivered instead.😂😂
    WELL DONE!!! 🦃

  • @danielintheantipodes6741

    The cuisine looked superb! There is a CZcams channel called Kiwi Americans, a USA family which lives in New Zealand and the first year she made a Pumpkin Pie from scratch. The next year she paid a fortune for the tin because she felt the real pumpkin was not sweet enough. Personally, I am sure I would prefer the fresh one, but I suppose it is all dependent on what you are used to. Thank you for the video!

      @LiqdPT Před rokem +6

      The type of pumpkins used for pies (I think they're called "sugar pumpkins) are not the same ones that we use for jack o'lanterns here in the US at least. So it's entirely possible they may have had the "wrong" type of pumpkin available to them for pie.

    Oh wow! My grandmothers (both paternal and maternal) would have been so excited to see you making everything from scratch! They certainly always welcomed any of their children and grandchildren who were interested in learning to come help make things. My paternal grandparents lived in another town so my sister and I usually didn’t get to learn too many holiday recipes (though we learned other recipes when visiting on nonholidays), but my maternal grandparents lived just up the block from us and so we could walk early in the morning up there to help with cooking holiday meals (plus both grandparents had the rule that those who don’t help cook and setup for the meal are the ones who help put away and clean up after the meal and my sister and I were definitely more into cooking, setting the table, etc than putting food away, cleaning up, etc....mostly because our parents worked and so when we got home from school we’d hangout with friends for an hour and then cook dinner, eat, cleanup, do homework while watching television, and then our parents would be home at 10pm; dad owned a business and mom was an assistant manager at a retail store in the mail as well as district manager assistant for the company she worked for). You did an amazing job! It all looks so yummy! Glad you got to celebrate Thanksgiving in your own home with some of those nearest and dearest to you! Thank you for sharing this experience with the world! Between this video and the New Zealand family’s video where they also cook food from scratch (second year now) to celebrate Thanksgiving (and American guests this year), it’s so great to see so many celebrating a holiday that’s an entire purpose is to have us stop briefly, remember gratitude, and celebrate that gratitude that we have. It’s not about celebrating any particular religion, culture, language, politics, ethnicity, etc. It’s a holiday about just being thankful and celebrating via whatever traditions one’s family may have (growing up one the differences in traditions between my paternal and maternal sides is that turkey and quail was eaten on the paternal side whereas ham and chicken were the main dishes on the maternal side; pecan pie was common on the maternal side along with key like pie my aunt from Florida would bring and the cajun dishes my cousins from Louisiana brought while on my paternal side apple, cherry, blueberry, and other fruit pies were common along with Amerind fried bread, fried okra, fried squash, and corn on the cob were cooked and we’d also have homemade tortillas made by my cousin from Arizona).
