- Jeff Coffin and Carter Beauford, Two of the best musicians around today share an improv Sax & Drum moment on stage June 2009. honorable mention to the always cool calm and collective stefan lessard on bass
- Hudba
I don't care what kind of music you play. If you can't appreciate these talented men, you don't know music! Especially Mr. Beauford! Unfreakinbelievable! Look at the control and flavor and skill! Wow! A musical genius!
no one can replace leroi.. but Jeff Coffins the right guy for the job
This was and still is my favorite version of #41 . The spirit of Leroy was definitely in the air. The band put Jeff on the spot to play a solo without him knowing about. That's one of the reasons why his solo kind of dragged in the begining until he found his groove , in order to lead the band back in the song. Seriously get goosebumps every time i listen to this version. Gotta love it.
How come nobody is talking about that perfect bass note at 1:48?? Man the magic and chemistry of this jam sesh is unreal, thank you for this
he missed the one tho ?!
The build up happens so slowly yet it doesn't cease to amaze, each new level they reach blows my mind
my mind is blown every time I watch this video
I always find myself going to this video year after year for inspiration in my own creative process. This and American baby intro off their live album in Portugal are my two favorite jams that will give me chills every single time. Cheers to anyone else coming back to listen to this after all these years
That simply make me well up with joy at how fuckin incredible that jam was
Damn, this is so good I almost feel like telling them to get a room. But then I would miss it!
There are so many things that are beyond words about this video, I am a huge DMB fan, and Carter is beyond magic, the man is a machine!!! I had the great pleasure of seeing Jeff play with the Flecktones, he played an alto and bari at the same time. Blows my mind seeing the two of them going at it, Dave just shaking his head, and Timmy looking like he is about cream in his pants.
this brought a smile to my face and a tear to my eye, as i saw that music really isn't dead.
This has got to be the littest thing I've ever heard
Holy shit!!! Each one of them are amazing. Cant wait to see them tear it up this summer!
One of the best!!! Jams I've seen. 👏🔥🎶
Im so happy i found this!!
one of the most enjoyable videos ive ever watched
I know right, Victor worked with Carter Beauford and also plays with Jeff Coffin (Flecktones) separately. Hopefully we'll get to see that magic happen one day.
Carter and Jeff improve is outta this freakin world dude .... The dam thing threw me into a coma and im just now waking up from the misical TRIPPPPP !!!
This is why i want to be a musician.
This gives me chilllllllllsssssssss!!!!!!!!! Wooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

i was there when they did this wow freakin amazin carter is like my drum god haha
FUCKKKKKKK soo good it made me cry
it almost made me tear up
This is fucking amazing, no excuses.
So gooooooooooooood
I believe it's from the jam of #41 from Beacon Theater.
Unreal
❤
Low key Stefan is killing it
As always !!!.Lol 🤔
@doodis1time And Carter plays off Jeff so well, brings the band to a whole new level
2:22 a cameraman realizes Stefan is Killin his bass, while everyone is fixed on two other masters on stage ragin.
as good as it gets!
Hah, I love the way Dave gives Jeff a hard time at the end.
It's like Dave told Jeff, "You didn't know who you were phuckin' with, huh?"
@@Tenatu Hey Tenatu I know it's been 3 yrs since you made this comment and hope you see this... I thought the exact same thing and started lol.. Then I scroll down and saw what your wrote and LOL even more..
@@srpdesigns Ha!
@@Tenatu Just came back to watch this again and saw our comments from a year ago..Lol...Hope your doing well Tenatu My Friend
holy balls...I think Jeff plays way better with DMB than with Bela. With Carter backing him up, I think he reaches his saxo-potential
Had no idea this was even #41 until like the 3:00 minute mark
Oh my God. That's all I can say. Oh my God.
Leroi had to have been looking down and smiling.
4:31 MIND=BLOWN
where can I get this DVD? this is amazing!!!!!
@doodis1time it's the goatee
4:54 is that Dennis Reynolds?
Imagine what goes on in DMB rehearsals?
What rehearsals
Change of tempo from around 2.30 - 2.50 is mindblowing
@Iamanoutkast
no thumbs down on the video so far ;)
damn i wished victor wooten was the one who played the bass. this is badass by itself but that would just be eargasmic!
omg not one dislike!
song name please?
They should take the dislike button off this video because no one is going to use it!
Very good but how I miss Leroy Moore
Pascual hernandez *LeRoi
Here's the weird thing. I can play as well as Leroi, but Jeff is on a different level. I transcribe a bunch of Leroi's solos, but Jeff leaves me scratching my head. "What the hell did he just do?"
And they removed the sax solo from #41... smh
jonesy827 did they really? No sax solo in it this year?
So many dead in the crowd bc of Dave Matthews band. Sad that all they wanted was to get to the COFFIN
Why are the white people clapping? CLAPPING? Really? Shoot, every time I saw DMB I was in my own world playing the air drums and sax...
...and clapping horribly at that. It's a tragedy to music and rhythm.
I wanted to stab my ears during that sax solo! My god why so long! ugh!
Do you realize DMB is a jam band? This is what they do.
