Usually for big media productions like this, hair and makeup asks them to shave the beard. Still his choice of course! But professionals like Jim tend to not have a problem with that.

My Mom saw him in the 70s at a comedy club in Toronto. Had no clue who he was beforehand but never forgot his name after that night. She said even the crowd knew this guy was going to be big.

I don't know why that hasn't happened yet and why parody movies always have crappy actors and mini budgets.
