Hey Peter, i'm almost a year late, but your video on resume that got you into Goldman set my career in finance. hey Peter, your video is really really helpful so appreciate you sharing this with us! I’ve just finished watching your resume ver for this as well and was wondering how important LinkedIn profile is in such recruitment?
I am yet to complete my profile and was wondering if it’s really necessary to add my address on my CV and Cover Letter header section. So far I have everything you mentioned except for my LinkedIn.
I’m in my final year so this year is my last shot applying for BBs and previously I did get rounds of interviews from GS as well but am curious if putting my LinkedIn address can fetch me more interviews.

Hi, I'm glad you found it helpful! People use linkedin a lot these days for recruiting. Overall, I'd suggest adding your url (use a custom url so it's short), and make sure your linkedin is consistent with your resume and represents you well. It's usually helps recruiters to see someone's connections and a little more context on them. GL!

I’m about to finish college and just got interested in ib. I don’t have prior experience or internship in this field. Any recommendations or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Good q. It you're a 4th year you can apply (it's happening like now/a few weeks ago) for a full time role. It's tough though bc most candidates will have interned at a bank their 3rd year summer. You could try to get a full-time financial analyst / valuation job and then try to lateral over. Or go back to get an MBA and then recruit to be a summer associate. Gl!

Hey Peter, I am a recent graduate with a degree in finance. I played 4 years of D1 college football which took up every summer and most of my free time. Because of this, I didn't get the opportunity to do an internship. Along with this, my GPA is only a 3.39, which was the highest of any graduating senior on my team but still not a 3.5. What advice would you give to me when looking for a role in investment banking?

Hey Zeus - congrats on being such an amazing athlete! You could try to carve out your own route - e.g. lean into the fact that you were extremely good at what you did as an athlete, work ethic, etc + lean into your network (team alumni, school alumni) and try to do informational interviews with them. Since you're a D1 athlete your school's alumni may have more trust in you as a top-performer with crazy work ethic, and could refer you in from that angle. GL!
I am currently completing my final year at high school and am really interested in this field of work. What would you recommend I try to do to maximize my chances at admission to a highly ranking financial university and what degrees would you suggest for heading into this field? Thanks.
I'd suggest studying and working hard to get a good GPA, and try to intern at a financial firm like a bank. Good majors that naturally feed into finance jobs include Business and Economics - although you could get in if you have finance work experience with quantitative majors like Computer Science or Math.

what if the recruiter name is not mentioned in the job des?
If there isn't a Recruiter you could use something like: "Dear [Goldman Sachs Recruting] Team", "Dear Hiring Manager", "Dear Recruiter".
How did you get those work internships ?

Thats actually what I did.
I am interning at some NGO's and non profit organizations and a full semester at a "for profit" organization for the experience itself
I had a high-GPA (I think ~3.95 at the time) and I applied to tons of roles, and I had some relevant extracurriculars to show I was interested in finance (e.g. Business Fraternity), and work I did in high school. I'd suggest just making your resume the best it can be, take relevant classes and extracurriculars, and then put yourself out there and apply to tons of roles. GL.
