"So I'm the world champion, my channel is blowing up, and hey, I'm getting a divorce"
That shouldn't have made me cackle like it did, I'm sorry Pete lmao
😂
44:50 important message from the Pete man
When did watching this channel become part of my night time routine?
I can still remember how excited I felt while watching the first video and that excitement apparently never left
Funny enough, I found your channel as I was going through my own divorce last year. She was leaving me, I was very happy in the relationship, and I didn't see it coming. I adored her, and until the last year, before pregnancy complications, she adored me. It was an amazing relationship up until everything went awry. So, needless to say, I was laid low. I was in survival mode, and clinging to anything that could ease the pain. Your channel, among a few others, became my new escapism while I healed and recovered.
Now, I am back in school, finishing a degree in Philosophy and Physics. I am working out, gaining muscles I never had in my life (I'm 35). I'm also getting attention from women way too beautiful for my own good. I still have a lot of rebuilding and healing to do, but you were there with me at my lowest, and its fascinating how many similarities there are that I had no idea about when I first started watching. (I also loved MTG for the same free-for-all games you mentioned) Even though I'm in a much better place, I still find immense comfort in your content, how you play games, and how you think. I get the hint, from some of the stuff you say, that we share similar views on a lot of topics.
I mostly just wanted to express how much crazy it is to stumble across someone who I can relate to so much at a time I most needed it, plus gratitude for your content helping me retain my sanity while I went through the worst thing I've ever dealt with in my life.
Thank you for the kind words brother! It's a beautiful thing that the internet can bring a bunch of weirdoes (and I mean that in the nicest way possible) together who never would have realized we weren't that weird after all.
I don't presume to tell anyone how to live their life but when you said 'way too beautiful for my own good' watch out for that thinking. There's nothing less attractive to women then a man that believes he doesn't deserve them.
The teleporting 43 stack hurt my brain XD
Ikr! 😂
I literally just watched it three times, thinking I was missing something or losing my mind.
You have one achievement left.
Start a crowd fun and buy out risk then make it good.
37:50 Pay to win has a lot of concepts and meanings, but the one which I think it applies here is: "Yes I can win without this pay feature, but if I paid, the games would be easier and then I would win more", thus effectively paying money for more wins.
You can get the emotes for free if you save up the daily reward. Also the emotes really dont do a lot, if someone wants to break they are going to break regardless of what emotes you have. If you really want to communicate play alliances or use the thanks and well played ect as Pete did in this video.
@@pontusgustafsson9671I Agree. I don't think the emotes matters too much, even why a bunch of people don't understand the emotes. I just understand because I watch Pete.
Another effect is that it can signal that you are not a noob. If you are willing to spend on the game, then you probably know how to play.
Pay to win in games I play after game breaking perks like strong bonuses, camouflage, components/tools you can’t get unless you buy them.
In the sense of pay to win, there isnt much pay to win in risk, if any tbh.. its the same sort of argument for games like path of exile where buying stash tabs is considered pay to win, but alot people enjoy the game so they pay for them, it makes their game more acceptable and supports a company that they like per say.. but games like wow where you can literally buy max lvl, or buy gold to fund your gear, is absolutley pay to win. You gain gear or whatever you really want buy just being a whale and spending real money.
I first discovered this channel a year ago and it intruiged me, I would watch every once in a while. But back in Late September 2023 I had a back injury that had me unable to walk, stand or sit without being in excruciating pain. I couldn’t even lay down without a lot of pain. I would barely sleep, waking up at 2 in the morning in pain and crawl into my living room to not wake my wife. Honestly in the 5 weeks I was injured it was this channel and your videos that helped me get through the worst period of my life. I started playing risk and enjoyed it so much I still play weekly and tune in almost every day to watch you play. Thanks for what you do Pete and the passion you have behind it
Stay strong bro
Spoiler block
Why block my spoils😂
Spoiler Blizzard*
That was a really great high level game. And it was also really nice to hear you talk about your journey in Risk and this community. 100k soon!
Cheers man! I know you've been around for a while. It's been a crazy ride
1:38 and 3:41 someone's gotta clip these for future memes 😂 that maniac laughter is awesome. Would make awesome emojis for ingame communication, too 😂
Speaking for myself, I found your channel a few months ago and started watching a lot. The game itself is entertaining, but you also being a charisma to the show that always improves the day. The content is consistent, frequent and simple. What keeps these entertaining is that you don’t seem to lose excitement towards it. You bring up the word deserve, and I agree with you, it doesn’t make sense to talk about who deserves what. But I for one am glad that the random series of events you’ve had over the last four years has given an interesting, charismatic guy a platform to have fun with.
Yeah man I'm very grateful
45:00 This was interesting for me to listen to cause I actually found Pete's channel during my own super transformative period of my life. This around the same time period where he initially blew up and went "viral" (which is probably why he got recommended to me) and I had just had my second son. My second son did NOT like having Dad rock him to sleep at night but it was unfair to deny my firstborn the attentions of his mother. So in order to maintain my sanity while my baby cried that he wanted his Mamma while I did my best to rock this tiny human to sleep I started listening to youtube content and I found Pete. It became an every other nightly ritual for me to sit down with my baby, who would cry at me for a solid 20 minutes before he'd finally settle on Dad, and for me to watch this random guy just... play Risk. For some reason it was soothing and therapeutic. Been watching ever since. My son if almost 2.5 now and still a fan, even though I've never stepped into the Risk Global Domination arena myself. It must be a weird feeling to know you impacted a life like that even though he had no idea I was even watching.
I remember catching that video randomly in my feed with like 80,000 views. It got me hooked to your content and risk is self. Congrats on all your success homie.
Cheers! Thank you I feel very blessed
Oh look another hour of my day I’m now going to devote to watching Pete !
It’s Become a part of my daily routine
It's an honour
Mate I was recommended that video last year and I am so happy I watched it. I don't play risk (played the bored game as a child in early 00s) but i watch every upload on both channels and look forward to each and everyone. Love your attitude and the entertaining show.
So 3 things: 1. Please share the link to the video with the high views in the description.
2. We like watching you because people gravitate to winners and it’s fun watching you kick ass in the game 😂
3. The pay to win perspective is that in games where it should be an even playing field and winning should be purely about skill and they introduce some profit making option to buy something that gives you an edge over the competition is pay to win, example a character suit in COD that makes you harder to see in the game. God bless you Pete ❤
Pay to Win means that you pay money to gain an advantage in the game that players who don't pay won't have. For instance, if there was an option to pay $5 at the start of each Risk game in order to start with an extra 10 troops, that would be a Pay to Win feature. People are pointing out that having certain emotes can be advantageous, and those emotes cost money, which makes them Pay to Win. The issue with their argument is that, as you pointed out, the free emotes are sufficient already, so you don't actually gain an advantage by having the paid emotes since the free alternative emotes exist.
Almost 100% agree, except that's not so cut and dry. They could have that option and Pete could still win in lobbies where someone else bought extra troops. That doesn't make that not P2W
We're here for the cat. Risk comes second
49:30😂, hey man your content is just good, and I like how that's the video that also got me to your channel and wanting to play risk, didn't even play this online version until watching that video
I think your “world champ part 1 video”taps into the “watching skilled people be skilled” sub-genre of CZcams
In the main vain as magnus carlson (world chess champ) and Pokemon challenges(self proclaimed best pokemon nuzloker in the world)
Risk hits that
Nostalgia factor plus high skill ceiling thats fun for novices to watch.
I've never enjoyed playing risk myself, but I have always enjoyed watching people playing risk. Suddently I stumbeled to your channel, and I love hearing you talk. It makes my day. One million times worth!
Welcome. I'm glad you're enjoying the show!
Pete, I think it's very entertaining to watch someone who has so much passion for the game that I also enjoy. Your philosophical mind makes for good content even in longer videos. It's also very intriguing when you make a play that is very unintuitive but also the "correct" play, and that's one of the reasons I learn a lot from watching these videos
FOLKS. That 2022 video definitely got me invested as well. I watched all the games in that tournament and then starting watching KPS consistently. Played ~200 games now in the last two months and now expert on the verge of master. Sorry to hear about your divorce several years back but hope you have found a new normal. Keep your head up and keep going on your poppy poppy time, and as always keep playing those meta settings on EUROPE ADVANCED PROGRESSIVE CAPITALS
I'm sure we'll have a new gm incoming with this season
weird edit around 26:20 seeming to miss a few turns
Yea there are at least two weird time skips that I don't think were intentional, the first was before that, had to rewatch each like 3 times because it threw me off
The reason I cut there was cause Pete wasn’t talking much and the turn was completely uneventful. We would’ve lost more viewers clicking off if it was kept in. But your right it came off a bit jarring and I’ll make sure it’s cleaner in future.
@@emptmedia well there was a territory change involving Pete, so not totally uneventful, right?
A huge turn from Pete was missed! It was probably easier to cut but can you do a double time or faster instead of cutting? I saw you did a couple of them fast runs in the video! @@emptmedia
@@emptmedia I personally wouldn't click off but the average person more likely would, so totally understandable. Definitely double time or something in the future might be a better option. Regardless, thanks for the work you do for Pete and all us Risk Takers out here!
I liked the heartfelt words, Pete. We love you too and wish you continued success!
With regards to the Pay-to-Win discourse, there's an idea that if a competitive game markets itself as free to participate in, the actual competition should be on a level playing field , regardless of whether or not you've paid for optionals, but cosmetics are a perfectly reasonable way to monetize the f2p game. Risk emotes are something that's in a little bit of a gray zone between cosmetic and mechanical advantage
Exactly. There is no problem selling things like cosmetics to, as Pete says "support the people who made the game". But when paying money gives you and advantage in the game, that's a problem. I can see the argument that it's not necessary, but I can't believe anyone can't see how it's at least a gray area.
Pete, your success has been a blast to watch and is nothing short of a testament to your dedication and talent as both a player and an entertainer. Happy for you.
The mention of the 2022 round 1 tournament is actually how i found this channel😂
What a fun, weird game of risk. Thanks for the show, pete!
What a great story Pete! Thanks for all your positivity
We all came to your channel because we were intrigued about professional risk, but then we stayed because of your personality. We are your audience because you are our entertainer. You said that making this content feels right, well for us, watching it feels right. Just keep being yourself and don’t limit yourself to anything in particular. We love you Pete!
46:14 your words are heard Mr. Pete, this is why you're one of my favorite content creators. Your genuineness is why I stay, thank you good sir, and God bless.
Pete! Loved the nostalgia in this video...making me want to go back and rewatch your world champ game for like the 3rd time or something now :)
It's a big thing for me too
I really enjoyed your talk at the end Pete while I study chemistry. Keep up the awesome work so close to 100k :D
It's coming soon!
4:12 😂😂
curious about the jumpcuts like 26:26 , are they just in the vid to stay within an "1 hour limit" ?
Me too
It’s mainly for the stalemating and when Pete stops talking, to try keep the video a bit more high paced.
"pay-to-win" just basically means video game companies implementing elements or features that put the players in some sort of advantage over others and are only accessible via payment.
You ARE a strange man. We just love your cat😂😂❤❤
45:19 Its not buried anymore! Lets take a moment to appreciate everything that you do, everything you have accomplished, and everyone you have helped and inspired through your work and show! Thank you!
At this point the games are kinda interesting, but I more so enjoy the Peteman! What a show!
❤️
the regular pay to win is defined by a state of the game where you can have an unfair advantage, the fistbump and stuff would not get in to that category, normaly we could call that asthetics.
Pay to win would be if youb could spent 10$ to generate more troops for excample.
Pay to win refers to certain purchasable items leading to in-game advantage, will the situation in risk is a bit of a stretch other games have had major issues. One example was the rose skin in Call of Duty, the skin was all black and players had a hard time seeing it in darker places on the maps
" Blue's other capital is hot poo " . As a 33 year old guy I'm amazed at what I find funny I'm so immature 🤣🤣🤣
Never get old brother
Been thinking about how to explain pay to win for Risk and the best I can come up with is… it would be like paying $50 to have a capital while everyone else in the game didn’t have one. Meaning you have to pay this money to win/be competitive. And in this example SMG would purposely make the capitals work and maybe be overpowered to push the need to buy this feature.
So the main difference is you don’t pay money because you enjoy the game but you HAVE to pay money to be able to be competitive.
Thankfully, the game we play isn’t pay to win, which I’m very grateful for!!
why did we miss part of the game = white’s kill for example ?
"Advanced caveperson" 😂😂
LOL
also at 40:30 the important thing is: you know 100% that green is unbelievably stronger than you. Green has absolutely no idea. He has a rough idea, but is way too scared to test it. Blue, on the other hand, knows EXACTLY how strong you are (small troop stacks on all your large stacks), and you have no clue how strong he is and he has a rough idea how strong green is. Blue is your eventual enemy is my prediction.
Reasonably well played game, nice to see some people play well. These days I've noticed a mix of about 50/50 decent play vs noob madness. Which I will agree is improved over the last year and a half for sure. Strange that green just gave up like that, I think that has more to do with avoiding the long game more than anything though.
Yeah the extent to which people play good neighbour here parallells the improvement in classic fixed over the years. I still play open lobbies so I see a lot more madness than most people playing on the ladder for real.
37:49 in response to your question. Pay the win is anything that is required a transaction after the initial game download, whether it is free or paid for. And if you ask an individual like me who has played games in the past when you bought a game with a price tag on it. An example of this would be Gran Turismo 5, test drive unlimited 2, midnight club 3, need for speed most wanted, call of duty, Horizon zero Dawn etc. etc. All these games you only have to pay once for the full game. I am 100% on board with that way of selling games and making money. Because it is the most consumer, friendly and easy to understand mechanism. Hopefully that answers your question Pete. Yours truly Rob.
54:07 maybe we are just a lot of weirdos watching 🤣
The dichotomy of Pete, watching you talk about play to win and you seeming so arrogant towards others and having such a superiority complex to you talking in the end about how much you love the community you built, its fantastic! Great game again, the channel has helped me discover and improve in the online game, thank you 🙏
You can be sure that if Pete is getting a divorce, he's absolutely sure about it and probably it isn't his fault. A man of such philosophical knowledge wouldn't throw away a relationship for nothing, and the fact that he doesn't blame and states it as a matter of fact thing makes me believe it even more that he himself has been wronged, but he's too much of a gentleman to let it be known.
That sort of thing is always 50/50. It's as much my fault as anyone else's
Great channel man, always fun to come back and watch a vid or two. hope you are doing well!
I'm great thanks! Wishing you the same
Love this channel haven't played risk in approximately 45 years..
Well maybe we bring you back?
Quick note about the pay to win discussion. It isn't about time vs money. It isn't about making sure the people making the game get paid for their work. The main issue with pay to win is what incentives it creates for the developer. If you make people pay to skip things, or progress faster, or anything. It creates an incentive where you are going to make more money to make the game unreasonably grindy (where the grind is not fun) in order to get people to pay to skip it. So it creates incentives to make the game objectively worst to increase profits.
TLDR: Create a problem, sell the solution.
Living the dream man, shared passion. Stay awesome
Ah haha … your reaction is very similar to mine when someone caps in the pocket lol. AAAARRRGGGHHHH
49:38 facts
Lmao, when you found white's cap and was contemplating where red was, I was like "betcha he's in Nalut"
Turns out he was indeed in Nalut.
Just like to say Pete you will be at a 100k in no time .before July i betting . Your such good entertainer and funny guy i love you commentary and so positive , keep it up my guy, From the UK
hey mr. pete! started to discover you 3 weeks ago if i recall correctly, and well, im a 33 year old guy, whose life is not the best right now, and yeah, i cant wait to see videos of you, because they are simply fun to watch with a little wisdom sprinkled in every once in a while.
i like the little takes from you, i love when you can share your wisdom as i said, and also, i love the knowledge of the game that you have, because i love risk aswell, and obviously played it as a kid, but nobody wanted to play with me after a while, because i was just too good, and too good at mindfucking the people as a 10 year old haha. oh man....actually had to giggle just now. good memories.
and i love the salty pete that gets suicided on by beginners sometimes, and your reactions to that.
but to put it simple, you are fun to watch, simple as that.
all the best to you and all the success.
They realized that you were the threat!
Wishing more things start going your way brother
Pay to win or PTW means spending extra money in a video game that gives a big advantage against other players. An example in character collector video games, spending money to unlock ultra rare and powerful characters that would take months or maybe even a year to acquire without spending real money.
Pay to win means a purchaseable advantage. Like if you could pay an extra 5$ to start every game with 20 extra troops in risk. Less extreme in this reality, being able to purchase more ways to communicate effectively, but as you demonstrated, these emotes aren't required, just helpful to communicate. When the size of your wallet matters more than your level of skill, that is when people hate pay to win.
When people complain about a game being "pay to win," they typically mean a game has features that give an in game advantage they you need to pay extra for. The main argument against this is that in a competitive online game, the competition is influenced by how much money you have to throw at the game rather than your skill level. While it could be argued that the emotes in Risk offer new ways to communicate, they are very cheap, and you can get by just fine without them. They might technically fit the definition of "pay to win," but in a practical sense they don't really matter
26:19 crazy cut
😭
The pay-to-win concept is a little deeper than "you should pay for what you enjoy"
With Risk, there isn't a lot of paid features that you can't utilize for free (boards that you can still play in someone else's game).
Only real paywall is the emotes that you can still manage just fine without.
Real pay-to-win would be a game where the top players spend enormous amounts of money into a free to play game where you have to match their spending in order to win or a competitive game drops a payed item that you can't win without.
In conclusion risk does not fall under pay to win because a completely free account can win against the top spenders with luck and skill.
I get weepy drunk too, pal.
Pay to win means paying for advantage, it's generally just seen as a negative thing in gaming. We want things to be equal for it to be competitive, it's completely fine to have a game based on subscriptions (pay to play) or in some games they do a really good job on cosmetics that don't affect gameplay. But in reality it's a lot harder to run a game like that from the business side of things.
I'd argue the emotes in risk are a very minimal form of pay to win but like you said as well, it's not a big deal. still applies though it gives you an advantage to communicate more however minor it might be.
All that said, in terms of this game being competitive the emotes are entirely irrelevant compared to the match making system in Risk lol.
since it was asked the concept to pay to win means that paying additional money allows access to things that make the game easier and an advantage. in siege for example spending money on cosmetics does not alter the game or give you a foot above others. while in risk paying offers things that does resulting in a much easier communication and thus a foot over others. which i can see as a valid argument as a pay to win feature since it signicantly alters the game.
"Pay to win" w/ emotes might exist in low/mid level play. In high level play (as it was demonstrated in the video), even though it could simplify the interactions, they are not crucial to win.
@@William_3DSJust because those who pay do not win 100% of the time doesn't make it not P2W. If a feature costs money and gives an advantage over those who have not paid, it's 100% P2W. Pete shows that it's not egregious, but an advantage is still an advantage even if it is overcome.
A great talk starts at 45:20 into the video, buried no longer sir!
Pay to win isnt about if you should or shouldnt need to pay for a game. 100% agree that you should pay and support any game that provides significant amusement. How a game is defined as pay to win is if paying any amount of money gives you a significant advantage over those who do not or have not paid. An example in both extremes.
Pay to win ex: you "COULD" unlock everything in a game like clash royale by grinding for 10 plus years and compete, but you could also just PAY to unlock everything much quicker, and by doing so you typically are WAAAY stronger than the current apponents in your rank.
Example non pay to win: Think if you could pay in risk to obtain a number of custom colors within the game. The emotes are also examples of non pay to win features as they give no innherent troop advantage or skill advantage.
-
That being said, being able to communicate BETTER because you spent money COULD give you a real advantage. All they would need to do to make emotes not "feel" as pay to win is add a generic ??? Emote that is free. And a "Thats Fine" word bubble emote. Its really generic versions of a fist bump and the ??? Guy emote that add a lot of utility for free players while still giving you the value of unique better animations since you spent money.
-
Tldr: pay to win is not about should you pay for a game, but if soending money provides ANY advantage vs players who have not spent money can constitute some degree of pay to win.
People who cap in Iceland probably don't know cap defence bonus. They might think it needs to be defended and just 3 extra troops.
What took longer for me to get the "paid" emotes was waiting for them to be available in the daily deals. I got enough gems to afford them from the daily rewards before I got the option to buy them there. Still only took me a week or 2 iirc. The fist bump has 3 versions and I saved my gems for the zombie one that I preferred though... same for the flaming "this is fine" female vs pirate-looking male version of the emote without the same sound effect. Does seem SMG prioritizes the most popular emotes in the daily deals. That said though, I also bought premium and have purchased a few map packs.
I would definitely not consider the emotes "pay to win" even if it were not as easy to get the useful emotes without spending money. They make communication easier, but not all players understand what they mean anyway... especially as a lower level account you're more likely to be playing with those less experienced people with whom you'll have communication issues even if you had every emote. By the time you are at a rank where you're mostly playing with more experienced players, you should be able to have at least the minimal ones to communicate without spending any real money.
The pay to win in the broader gaming community often involves RNG loot boxes. It’s a way to engage children in gambling which can be problematic.
In Risk, the fist bump could be purchased with daily gems for free, and is a known amount, as you can directly buy the item.
You may be misunderstanding "Pay to win" in most cases just implies a significant advantage gained from spending money over other people. But a vast majority of people recognize that only REALLY applies to games where you genuinely have to be a WHALE to compete. Otherwise "DLC" in MMOs would be considered pay-to-win and if someone is genuinely trying to die on that hill they're an idiot.
Don’t take it too seriously, but…
Wojack Peteman: No, you can’t cap in Iceland!!! 😭😡
Gigachad Blue: I just did. 😎😏
😂😂😂
Edit: I commented too early. My b.
oh yaaaa
I play a game called gunship battle total warfare....I spend modestly with about $15k into my account over the last 4 years but they pay to win guys are a different breed, there are around 80 guys who spend 40-50k a month
They must pay for the entire game pretty much
@TheKillPeteStrategy Almost, the guys who spend more than 10k a year are perhaps numbered well into the thousands if not tens of thousands so it's definitely an extremely competitive game
Question from a novice trying to improve. How do you scroll so fast when deploying troops?
This game gave me an idea when fog is on, if blue card traded with green but sat in attack phase for a while without actually hitting green you may have thought they were in a more expensive war than they actually were??
Didn't watch it yet but I am sure it is a tremendous game... as always.
Many of the comments explain Pay-to-Win well. The only important part I want to add is: "Is that feature Pay-to-Win?" is a binary question. Yes or No. And to break it down as simply as possible. Communication is one of the strongest tools to manipulate others (or get manipulated). The clearer the communication can be done, the easier it is.
"Why would you care about paying for a game you like?" isn't the question, if the original question of Pay-to-Win is asked. Because it does not change the question at all. It only changes the severity of the aspect.
Why do people care? If you need to pay to be on a level playing field, is that fair? Is it doping? Is it an EVIL PLOT TO GET OUR MONEY?! :P
To end this comment. I think people want to get your perspective on the severity/impact of missing communication. I think you show very well that it can be important but learning the basics and mastering them is way more important in a regular game. And to be fair. Why cheap out on manipulating other if you can learn to read them and hone your own skills/game sense?
Hey Pete! 2 things. I think Russia was the best cap for you since it was blocked by blizzards. AND 2 you looks very nice with your hair a little messy on the top! Stay good and good lookin! Keep up the good work!
Which 2 are you capping on?
Im thinking the little territory in Russia, since its not in a corner, but still wasn't in an area being heavily attacked Granted the game went very well@@TheKillPeteStrategy
It has been a hell of a ride.
You say an Iceland cap is bad because it's a +2 that's locked in a corner... I know another +2 that's locked in a corner that people love.
Iceland = Bestland
Pay to win or P2W refers to games like Marvel Strike Force and Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes in which you just spend multiple of hundreds of dollars many times a month *or* be extremely dedicated and min/max the shit out of things to even have a chance at unlocking a new character. P2W games generally cost 400$+ a month or an extremely dedicated play style and spending a little. So this person only loosely knows the term because if they were intimately familiar with it would not assume that it is when those tokens can be unlocked for free relatively quickly.
Edit: P2W does not mean "pay for a game" like we did with this game. It means pay for greedy game developers charging you hundreds of dollars a month-- not a one time purchase of 15$ or 10$
Bruh you need to play Shikamaru’s theme throughout the stream 😂
You won’t get the reference if you’ve never seen Naruto but the way you break down strategy in battle is on Shikamaru’s level
At 47:15 you said something about leader targetting in a game. What is that?
so what you are trying to tell me Pete is that iceland caps are bad? never would have thought 😂
Maybe they're so bad they're good.
Pay to win is more like if you could just outright buy more troops. Then the game would be decided by who has the bigger bank account. It's one thing for a company to sell skins, emotes, icons etc, but when they sell you the means to win a game it becomes a problem.
The noob pete is back a lot nowadays... First AUS, now this?!
bravo for the 100k pete
Russia seemed like a good cap option in the first round? 4 of 5 non pink territories were one stack, three different colors. You have 4 in there plus 3 sitting in northern sweden.
That's the cap I was eyeing as well
There is no way Blue did that~ oh my god
So as a Pokémon go player an example of pay to play is that you need to raid a ton to be competitive in the master league. So let’s take Mewtwo you need 296 XL candy to max this out. That’s roughly like 90 or so raids to get that. Each raid is 1$. So when there are like 10-15 that you need to do for master league makes it inaccessibility to free to play players or someone that doesn’t want to pay 300$ for master league. So the 50 bucks for the premium risk, emotes, maps becomes expensive when both games are technically free to play. Pokémon is way worse than risk but just using that as an example
Pay to win is: the more money you spend, the more advantages you have to the point where theres no skill involved. Thus if you have skill and no money, you still lose
I love you pete ❤ another banger 😅
hey pete im here to explain what we refer to as pay to win in games its an advantage that someone buys with real currency it could be anything like emotes. skins i.e league of legends. items. pulls i.e gacha games (this is my opinion on this matter) I hope you read this
I think it's more about we don't mind spending money, its the corruption within the micro-transaction industry. We would rather buy a complete game than have to daily weekly monthly and annually continue to pay beyond what's reasonable and when it comes with features that does give advantage, the problem lies in who has the biggest pockets and most of us are just barely making it in life and getting fuqed with no lube in entertainment to escape, making it something unreasonable
Reds like F Splitaly, I want Splafrica.
