I've done the cap in Sevastopol challenge. There are a few spots that are equally as bad we can try out.
JJ is doing one, but at the same time trying to go from novice to grandmaster. Spoiler: He ends up not picking the worst cap.
tbh pink was last to pick a cap, that might of been his best option...
@@cristianandrei5462 It wasn't his best pick. He had a 3 stack in the territory above Greece. Would have allowed him to at least control that bonus and have an open Cap to the rest of the board.

I played RISK in my teenage years and when I decided to get into playing online I watched Pete and Kyle for a while also. Playing online is different than playing with friends "at home". Wise choice to do some research first.

46:58 I don't think blue wanted to su because the turn order would of left Orange next in line with an opening to kill him and take 2nd place (yes I know he's kill guarded but he doesn't know exactly how much orange has on his cap and probably doesn't want to take the chance just to save some time)
Lost 3k rank in 2 disconnects back to back. Don't even feel like playing any more
I reported to smg after dozens of disconnects. They suggested ensuring Bluetooth was turned off. It’s happening less often but still occurs. It’s very frustrating. 😢
@@seansoccer100 Play on pc if you are able, I have never had a single disconnect without my consent.
@@ruminate773 the only one I've had that I can remember, it was maybe 30 or 40 minutes into the game, I was in the lead, had just killed the second to last player, all i had to do was clean up the last one. And then, poof. Just at that point, got disconnected. Felt very suspect.
@@030992amagadi That is interesting. I wonder if it truly is possible for people to force a remote disconnect on their opponents in risk. I have heard of lag switches being used in online games, so it isn't out of the question.
I play on pc and have had one disconnect in 200 plus games. thankfully it was alittle past midway in game and by the time I got back my bot had destroyed almost everyone. pangea map

It is now 23 minutes since the video as been uploaded. It is 53 minutes long on normal speed, yet some comments look like they have seen it already. What are you people doing, using splitscreen to watch several segments of the videos in parallel or what?
You can change playback speed on CZcams, you can set it to 2x and finish watching in 26 minutes. I usually watch at 2x or 1.5x.
Could be 2x speed or maybe they saw the game live

I think a lot of talk happens around a players rank but honestly I learn through you and I was called out for being a novice in my KPO R9 the other night. I used to be a Master hovering almost the way to GM but just stopped playing outside of tournaments. I know that's not a lot sample of people but I rely on Peteman to teach me so I don't have to go through the hundreds of hours grinding lol😂
Edit: I also learned a lot this last KPO. I cannot compete on your guys level on mobile nor do i think I would win it. But I lost two games (one potentially against Peteman, the other against speedster) that I had lines to snowball and couldn't do it. Going to go to PC or not compete in the future

46:45 pete when talking about how you would play as blue, you would of literally throw away 2nd as if blue had full sent into orange then orange would of just killed blue on his turn before you could do anything due to turn order
How does Orange kill blue with the blue 1 behind the Iceland cap? Pete was protecting blue from 3rd place.

I don’t know if the math is in on which settings are better for ranking up on, but these offer far more dynamic gameplay to watch most of the time compared to TR.

I understand that stalling is annoying/reportable, but what is the difference between letting your time run while doing nothing and extending a game by killing someone 1 country each turn for 10+ turns when Pete could have knocked orange out at least 5 turns sooner and still entered the two player endgame in an overwhelming position. To me that is no different than stalling. It might not be reportable, but it is equally annoying and unnecessarily cruel.
The difference is one presumes a person knows how to make a winning play. The other only demands that player make one.

Played risk yesterday.
After only 3 players were left I killed a guy to get second place. Thought that’s it but didn’t want to give up immediately.Had 20 troops left vs 70 first place player. Believe or not I won because first place player had the worst end game play I ever saw.

I am not saying this is "correct" but the reason behind the "forced" joker is because the game tries to priorities trade-ins with all 3 types instead of 3 of a kind. Probably there for the benefit of fixed cards.

You have to fortify enough troops out to make sure you can always get a card or have a good relationship with a player who will give them to you.

Pete.. dude I feel like I am seeing the game very well, playing well and still just getting hammered lately with either bad spawn issues, horrendous True Random roles, or Newbery... I would be very curious to have you watch a game of mine to get some feedback, to see if I am making terrible moves. In other words, when I watch your videos I feel like I would make the same moves or similar, only difference is your winning, and I am getting 3rds, and 4ths 5 games in a row.
