As a former Fisker employee, had to admit everything mentioned in this video are the truth. That company has no rule, it’s a completely shit hole, in the end employees from all the departments had been pull out from their home departments to do the title and registration works. The company had zero company culture, no bonus, low ball on good talents, restricted hours, rude and incompetent management. I feel sorry for the stock holders who trusted Fsr, and feel sorry for whoever signed up for fisker.

The thing that makes you crazy is that simply creating a parts inventory before manufacturing was shut down seemed so doable and would have wildly improved the chances of selling the remaining car inventory. The note holder was almost certainly complicit in this stupidity.

Adam thank you. After watching your previous videos it inspired me to work a creative deal with Ford on a lightning (in WV btw) I they were able to finance most of my negative equity at 0% and give me a sweet deal on the lightning to boot. The sales guy said that was the most negative equatiy he has ever seen on a trade in. Not a great feeling, but but the lightning has all the tech features I was hoping the Ocean would have and even more in many cases than my R1S. I finally don't have a pit in my stomach!

Lost $1600
I also lost some cash, a $2000 deposit. BUT, if they drop down to anywhere between $15-20k I might have saved the $2k as the Ocean I put the deposit on was at $33,900. Was extremely nice but even now I see them out there for $29k so I could save more money now vs. the deposit loss if I wanted to. But I don't yet want to.
@@DaveDarin honestly I wouldn't even buy it for that price. I feel like this car will be a brick in 5years or less unless they sell off the company to someone. Which I do not think will happen. I would pay 10k maxxxx and keep it ask a back up generator lol
@@moizmalik5583 I do not think it will be a brick. Sure, things like Spotify, Tom Tom will most likely be gone once the cloud is gone but you have Bluetooth and with no OTA's coming to fail mid download to brick the Ocean I do not think they will be bricks. I think that's going a little extreme (pun intended).

This is my first time watching you on a computer instead of my phone. I now can see much of the detail in your backdrop and am having fun seeing what I recognize from my childhood.
I still have my Extreme with air vents that don't move. I have said this before either here or a different forum, I hope we get a parts detail so we can 3D print them ourselves. I hope to keep the vehicle until I can sell it for a decent value or drive it for many years. I know that is insane, but if the vents are all that is a problem I will work with that until there is a larger problem.
I think a lot of people are stuck because of the drastic drop in value. Do the best you can, that’s all we can do.
I do 3D Printing as a side line. NO I am not trying to market my services here and here is why. You should NOT be 3D Printing parts for cars. Too much heat an UV. Especially on parts that are very difficult to get to like the vents. Would be different if you 3D Printed a cell phone holder but not a functional part that requires 4 hrs of a Fisker tech to get to the failed 3D Print in the vents. I assume Fisker at least had the sense to use ABS in the print BUT even ABS will suffer at some point. If they used PLA they are total idiots. Perhaps carbon fiber might have held up and 2 of my machines will print with carbon fiber but I still would not have 3D printed any parts for a hot HOT car.
@@DaveDarin I agree about the 3D printed in a car. I have access to a printer that can use carbon fiber, which is what I would try first. I had no idea it would take a tech that long to replace a part. However, if there is no Fisker Inc. in as few months, then we may be left with 3D printed material as the only solution. Since I bought my Ocean, I want to get the value out of it. I can do that by selling, if the prices were not so low, or by driving the car as my daily driver. I am opting for driving the car, but at some point (perhaps when insurance rates skyrocket) I will have to get rid of the car.
I was kind of amazed that you took delivery Adam, after you clearly were onto the smell of the company early on. I cancelled my One last summer as I was not having a wonky car on the mercy of the horrible business handling of the Fiskers. It was obvious that they had no intention of delivering a usable product, even given all the work they push in front of them by delaying all the advanced features of the car.
Fisker had no credible explaination on how they would get the car in order, seeing all those features they were not able to deliver, and there were no way they would get their hands on healthy money with the Class B majority voting shares. I mean, who would give that crazy couple free reign over the money? The lender did what was right, reducing their risk, while the Fiskers did absolutely everything wrong. Including bringing the company into the state where they would depend on a loan on those terms.
This must become a Netflix mini-series or movie ala the "Fyre Festival". "Henrik the red nosed frauster" by Hallmark perhaps?

You did the right thing bailing out of the ocean. If even when under production it was difficult to get parts, imagine when they go out of business.

This is why I say each and every day there is no way that the CEO and his wife are literally safe in public. They could never go out in public at least in the United States because somewhere along the line there’s going to be a disgruntled shareholder or Fisker ocean owner, that’s probably going to approach them and it will be ugly

With, how limited the production of the Ocean was, maybe 6500 sold so far, out of a country that has a population of 333 million as or 2022 census, I think most people have never heard of the FIsker Ocean. Even if they stumbled upon it they would not have focused on what Henrik looks like and even more unlikely would they know what his wife looks like. An Ocean owner would very definitely know what he looks like but there are only 6500 owners that focused on knowing his facial features and that 6500 is spread out in multiple countries. So, I don't think he is in hiding. BUT he should be in jail for his contributions to those invested in the stock and the Ocean purchases.
@@DaveDarin absolutely because him and his wife are responsible for billions and billions of dollars wasted and shareholder value because of corporate mistakes that should’ve never been made. It has nothing to do with the economy as to why investors lost money. It has everything to do with basically the CFO having absolutely no experience in that position whatsoever, this company reaps just too much nepotism
A couple concerns.
1). Warranty. I have heard that a portion of the sale of any product has to be set aside for warranty coverage. I am not sure how this is regulated or validated as happening and I'm not even sure if this is true or not. And does it really matter? Even if Fisker Inc. did set aside money for warranty coverage it seems like that might cover labor but what about parts? Without a needed part what benefit is there to any warranty that will only get you labor for a part that can't be installed.
2). I hope there is an investigation. I agree this was manipulation. If there was any concern at all for Ocean customers at least part of the firesale money should be going to support Ocean One early adopters and NOT into the pockets of the noteholder. I am not sure who was more greedy, the Fiskers or the Noteholder but I do know who was incompetent, the Fiskers. I hope there is an investigation and perhaps jail time is due, but that never happens for people like this.
By the way, the Ocean One I found locally that was traded in, it was traded in because the customer was so frustrated with his 1 million dollar loss in Fisker stock that he no longer wanted to look at the Ocean in his garage. A gorgeous Ocean One that I was VERY tempted to buy BUT I controlled my emotions and walked away. Still sad BUT also relieved that I don't have to drive it like someone else described how they drive their ocean "Like they are driving glass down the road". The Fisker, supposedly well built, will eventually need service and parts and I don't want to dread that day when it will ABSOLUTELY occur.
I have answered, looked into, provided published evidence on, and explicitly described the warranty situation.
i was given detailed service records for each of my 4 repairs. I am fairly certain that my last tech visit where repairs were needed was replaced and repaired after not having parts was a result of a visit to the graveyard. Of course I did not ask, I was just happy to get the repairs I needed done while the lights are still on at fisker. I am located in los Angeles. And I am fortunate enough to not have waited longer then 3 weeks to get a tech visit or repair site visit with my issues.
Maybe you should have asked and I wonder what reply you would have gotten.

Reading the reply where you answer the question "Is it possible you'd come out ahead......" In your reply you said "if my 12v didn't die, making the car undrivable". Now I did not know you had that issue. That very specific issue is the largest one that made me stop my purchase. And reading that changing the 12v requires recalibration to get the doogie windows to work, that disables California mode.
A scary thought.

Yeah iam about to trade in my ultra that i owe 50k on. The dealer is only offering 26k for it.. but the EV I'LL be getting is 20k off for the 23 model. So it doesn't hurt as much. 😢. But shame on me for believing in a dream. I don't want to get rid of it but at this point I have to. Cheers

Well, I was able to trade in my Fisker, paid off the loan so that's good. Went back to an ICE, will wait for more stability in the EV market and 600 mile range. BYD might be good, just can't get one. Off this topic, but relevant, I made a comment about the Consumer Protection Act on the FB Fisker Ocean Owners Group, and they kicked me off. The group seems to enjoy complaining about their issues, but not interested in trying to resolve of collectively fight for what is rightfully theirs, money.

I am definitely done with pre-orders. The lots are where we all need to be. It’s just a concept til you can touch it. And if they want money before you can touch it… Pass.
Man, every time i see one of your videos im more and more grateful i decided to go with thr Tesla MYP instead. I lost my $250 deposit but i saved myself thousands and major headache's in the end. Ive had my 2024 MYP for almost 3 months now and its been flawless as far as issues and a blast to drive.
A MYP test drive is what convinced my wife to go electric. An excellent car. Maybe the best available for the price.
I had shutdown the car by snipping some wires because the dam panic alarm wouldn't shut off. 3hrs long with the doors not able to lock, Fisker has a dope design, but that's only going to get you so far.
Flaws with that vehicle is piling up like crazy

It's a shame what fisker did. I wonder if this was intentional from him .or it just happened and he couldn't stop the downfall. How could he after 3 years of him promoting car .in so many ways. almost hard to believe
If he did not do this intentionally, I do believe that the Noteholders did what they did intentionally. I believe they saw profits if Fisker survived BUT even more profits if they failed. I believe with the Fiskers it was incompetence and greed in the subplot or in parallel. What risk did Henrik take? None. With him and his wife, and I believe, perhaps rumor, that others in his family were hired. What risk did they all take? They all got great financial incomes, could step away as multimillionaire's and maybe each of them have perfectly running Oceans in the garages with a backload of replacement parts. I'm kidding about them having Oceans, they would not be that stupid to want one.
Failing to file 10k to SEC was intentional. Which triggered the clause leading to massive dilution and share price crash and delisting from NYSE

I was appreciative that the mobile techs weren’t afraid to use donor cars. I benefitted twice.
Its not cost effective though, so just another nail in the coffin. $1000 in parts removed makes $50,000 car unsellable.

I can't believe you are getting abused because you make a decision to sell a product that you own!! I've been an avid fan of the Fisker concept (The Car, not the Company) and I genuinely believed that I was helping to endorse something that would set an example of how we could redevelop waste into something else and at least slow down the rate at which we are extracting the worlds assets.
Given an opportunity now, I too would get out of this situation and cut my losses if I could and envious of the fact that you managed it, and I can't!
I for one am extremely grateful to you for all the content you've put up and whether it's good or bad, we can only react better for knowing the facts. Don't stop, there's a good chap (Yes, I'm British 🙂)

@@Aslash304 If it wasn't for the media outlets being a fairly large part of Fiskers issues, but there were other issues on top of that. But curious, and I think the answer is no. If your Ocean was depreciated in normal fashion, with the issues you had and still the threat of bankruptcy, BUT you did not see the huge depreciation, would you have kept your Ocean? I am assuming not as your Ocean would have gotten you better trade in value that you would have gone for. But, thought I would ask. BUT let me also ask a part 2 to that. How about if there was no threat of bankruptcy. With the issues you had, and lack of promised features, although with the company, in this scenario not going bankrupt and still 3.0 and 4.0 on the way. Would you have kept it in this scenario. Maybe you will give that one a yes. Curious.

Sad to hear about the troll attacks on you Adam. You are really one of the few objective survivors of the whole Fisker Ocean debacle and that's the main reason I sub'd. I cannot understand how anyone could support what Henrik and Geeta Fisker have done to their shareholders, customers and business partners...it really is criminal!

like the FOO, no issues so far, build quality is far better than model y, top gear says that too, if fisker gets bought and service is provided, this will be a phenomenal car. It sucks that resale value plummeted, can do nothing about it, 5k miles and hope it keeps running...

Would join a class actiob lawsuit! Now i see why the CFO left and the second folliwed a few weeks later. We had our reolacement charge port door pulled from a prid vehicle here in the SE. I should have dumped the car then since I had been unable to drive for a month and there was a 60 day wait time.
I enjoy driving it but regret supporting this company.

The biggest bummer in all of this is that the Ocean design, and performance was really nice. I live just outside of Scottsdale, AZ and every single mile I will see 3-4 Tesla's. So there is absolutely no way I want a Tesla. The Ocean was a statement to that fact and it really was a cool ride. Everyone has their risk tolerance but as I kept reading the Facebook groups and trying to see what was real and what was fake regarding issues I just decided that I didn't want the nightmare. And it is a huge bummer. Maybe a Polestar is in my future. I do drive a 2020 BMW i3s REX.
Get a tesla they are the best by far.
I think the I3 would have benefited from Henrik's specialty - design. The days of ugly self-flagelating cars (Prius, Murai, Clarity, etc.) to show your sacrifice to save the world, are past.

I drive a 92 BMW 850i, DeLorean, 76 50th Anniversary Trans Am and a 92 Jeep Wrangler lifted 8 inches. Can you see me in a Tesla? I surely can’t and won’t. And almost forgot. 2020 BMW i3s REX to save on gas.
@@foxtrotwolf6081 actually I thought the i3 was very ugly. Guess I got used to it. And it had nothing to do with environment or green. I’m just sick of gas dependency. And, just in case I need more range than the 170 EV miles or I don’t want to wait in line for electric I can go into hybrid mode. So, some say it’s ugly, the “s” version is a little more sporty and slightly quicker, but I escape gas but, if needed I’m not stuck without electric charging locations. You run out of electric in the Tesla and you are calling AAA. Me, I just grab 2,3 gallons of gas and go 80 miles to electric or the next gas station or I can get both gas and electric which I’ve done.

The people leaving angry comments fail to understand that the state of the company and share price has nothing to do with your “negative” videos, aka truthful videos. I’m a bag holder, and I dream of a miracle of the stock rebounding to 93¢ so I can break even and escape. Yes, as someone who’s in the stock down deep (to say the least), all I want is hopium. Well, my experiences with the Fisker Ocean vehicle are 98 % positive 🙂
Almost everyone’s are. It’s like 8 months old. The ones that are waiting for a part, or service, or their example won’t accept the 2.0 update. Those are the ones that are suffering. Also, most people that have one paid $70,000 and have a second (or third ) car. It’s fine for that. Everything will be great, until it isn’t.

Why is odd to me is if this was a "pump and dump" from the start, why would he go through all this work to get a "deliverable" car. All the stories of testing in Death Valley and the sub zero temps and all the certifications. Seems like a lot of work and money. It seems like it would be easier to make a successful company and longer term profit. I am not trying to defend the man as I am angry as hell being an owner. I don't have the funds or skills to trade this thing and even though I work from home and don't rely on a car most of the time, I still hate the idea that I bought this thing.

IDK Adam.. the bait and switch narrative is a bit of a stretch . Sounds like you're implying this was a some grand master plan to manipulate a market or scam people is far fetched. A really nice vehicle was delivered, one that if not for mis-management, you'd probably still be driving today. It's hard to believe any car person, who sits and rides in an Ocean could consider it a poor vehicle - It's a very good vehicle with a really terrible outlook. Build, Design, Ride and Performance attributes all get high marks. Delivering on all of that, JUST to manipulate a market seems a like a REALLY long way to go to scam people.
Ambition got the better of Fisker (and us bag holders - stick and stones break only bones.. ) - I think the intention was to create a really really great vehicle got side swiped by an gross underestimation of what it takes to run an automotive vehicle and a high level of incompetence did us in. Self preservation and greed are strangely justifiable comments counterbalanced by why is he sticking around to let his reputation go down with the ship, like a turd circling the bowl, desperately avoiding being flushed.
I understand and respect anyone's decision to bail on the car... it's a near certainly the right thing to do - the prospects of necessary updates, parts, service, support AND insurability create enough anxiety to offset any pleasure the vehicle delivers. In lieu of 3 of those items and you have a balanced act, in lieu of 4 you have a really good vehicle and in lieu of all 5 - you tell me.. what do you have?
Side comment on you, personally - I like what you do, I respect the research, passion, insight and hard work you put into making/editing these videos (I assume you're pretty much a one man unit with maybe some light help) - focus on optimizing your workflows - try to keep the cartoonish pantomiming cover images and click baiting out of titles (Worst car in the world? Really?) and continue developing your strengths - you do great analytical work and deliver a quality product - that is a rarity these days. I hope you don't get sucked into sausage making - but i understand if you do.. everyone's got to keep the lights on.

Thanks a lot for the insightful feedback. Well thought out questions deserve complete answers. My car was delivered with the window switch not connected to the rear passenger window. The rear passenger door came apart to the point it wouldn’t close in less than 2 months of ownership. The hardware for the rear interior lights was obviously faulty, and forced me to have service unplug them after causing the most anxiety inducing two hours of a road trip I have ever experienced. The passenger side rear brake was already squeaking and the dust was caked all over the wheel to prove that the pad had already been roasted ( I never drove the car over 65 miles per hour ). The same trip the mud flap mutilated itself. The rear view mirror had to have a cooling fan, which never stopped running even after service reset it. These are all hardware problems and can be directly related to build quality. On the software side, The car has no auto high beam, making it really annoying to drive at night. No adaptive cruise, no one pedal driving, no seat memory, no voice commands, no battery preconditioning. The throttle mapping and regen are hard to anticipate in any drive mode. I would say the last one is opinion, but almost every legitimate media outlet that drove it felt the same way, and published the same result. Finally, it’s a Chinese car platform that didn’t meet US or European safety standards, so tens of millions of dollars were spent reengineering an inferior platform just to be legal. There’s your no bias, no fluff, no opinion reasons why it’s the worst car in the world. I can provide evidence. But, you’re right, I thought it was the worst car in the world because of how it made me feel. I guess looks can overcome a lot. Nobody needs to be told what they have. It’s all observable and factual. It’s incomplete in every way, hardware, software, and testing. That can’t be said about any other 2024 model anything.

Hey Adam, you know Karama automotive is still extant, right? They’re building cars, but perhaps not the ‘Karma’ from Fisker. They were bought out by a Chinese firm. The Karma Revero looks almost identical to the Fisker Karma. Certainly has all of Henrik’s design cues. The Fiskers haven’t walked away, they just use what ever means to navigate the reorganization.
They didn’t create a ‘pump and dump’ to personally profit. They wanted access to US markets, though EV adoption in the US is way below other places like Europe or China. They hit the wall, since the plan was for tens of thousands of vehicles to be sold, when they only sold a few thousand.
Still haven’t seen their ‘liquidation’ move which was said to be the 24th May.

There certainly aren’t any good optics here. But if they broke the law, then they’ll face pretty strict legal sanctions through the SEC. If they want to make a comeback, they’ll need to offer a subcompact SUV (like the PEAR) and produce tens of thousands and actually market those vehicles on solid fundamentals, not just hype or hopes. They’ve got some serious psychological hurdles to face.
