I only like the Jim Lee look but to me, I am still going to get this figure because I do like the new Rogue head sculpt and I'm going to swap it out with the AOA Rogue to use as a custom Jim Lee Rogue, Hopefully it fits on, Awesome review MCUcollector24.
If you're looking to put the head of the new Rogue on the Jim Lee one, it does not fit. Not only is the ball on the neck too small, but the collar blocks the hair from allowing the head to be pushed down on it.
I do find it weird how she is supposed to be a younger version of Rogue compared to the 90s version, yet, her face looks older. Anyway, I'm glad we've finally gotten an 80s Rogue, though I was kind of hoping for a Pre-Issue 200 version. It's great nonetheless though. I am curious about this Outback team, as the only comics I 've read of them so far is Inferno.
It's the Villain to Hero effect. Each iteration of the reformed villain becomes softer and friendlier, we're just seeing it in reverse order. Brotherhood Rogue from Uncanny 158 had a very angular, vulpine face, and would probably look something like Cruella Deville
Most of those weren't really 'Outback' x-men in that picture. We need Colossus, Storm, Psylocke (in armour), Madelyne Pryor(not Goblin Queen), and maybe Gateway. The Polaris, Jubilee, Banshee, and Ninja Psylocke are all post-outback. The outback era goes from post-Fall of the Mutants to a little after Inferno.
Is it me, or does the render of the box show a Rogue with a chest, how to say, less explicit, as if she had the fabric of the suit covering her more instead of how she actually looks, with the "more prominent" figure?
No, this is definitely post-Fall of the Mutants. Rogue adopted this costume right afterward and had more punk style hair until after Inferno. They should have included an alternate head sculpt with straighter wild hair.
No, Storm had pretty much grown out her mohawk just prior to Fall of the Mutants. The Outback era starts immediately after that storyline event. Technically, the hairstyle on this Rogue figure is one she adopted after Inferno, and right as the Outback era was ending. Contextually, it seemed to happen as Rogue's absorbed Carol Danvers personality was reassuring itself.

This Figure looks Bad Ass!
I had to get an extra one of this Rogue because the head fits perfectly on the Psylocke 60th training uniform figure.
