    Will it help to decrease belt slip from running a smaller supercharger pulley and is it worth your money? Follow-up with results to come later this week.

    Have you tried a larger crank pully ? Thinking it could be a better option to battle belt slip.

    Quick fix to a slipping belt is to sand blast the pulley

      Then get aluminum all over your belt smh

      @@TwiggyGains lol no the belt will sand the aluminum onto itself if it's just sandblasted and no coating.

    Would you add a factory reconditioned or like new Mercedes supercharger and pulley system to a 140k CL55 AmG considering the mileage or would you wait to re build motor first before going install of a factory or aftermarket supercharger ???

    had this done to my 06 E55 Pulley and never had slip. Belt wrap kit still had slip and just didn't work for me. In my 04 E55 I have now I did the same thing on my 77mm Pulley.

    That design must shorten the belt life massively ???

      Long story short it actually makes belts last longer. Heat is the #1 killer of belts due to slip. A factory belt roughly has a 6-7% slip rate. I highly recommend this product and company, their customer service and product is simply amazing and second to none. I had them custom design a pulley for my SL55 and the engineer/machinist and I talked for over an hour.

    I love your videos and your projects but everyone with the M113K engine should know that the belt wrap kit it’s useless $300-400 dollars spent. I know because I made the mistake to buy it and I had zero difference from just going with a shorter HD green belt. In my case I have the 77mm clutched pulley and shorter belt and zero dust zero slippage. People should invest that money in other upgrades for their car.

      cl55 amg renntech hey if you have $400 to waste just to look cool go ahead. I have dyno my car with and without the belt wrap kit and no difference but I had used the shorter belt for the supercharger. Simple common sense used will show you that the role that the belt wrap kit is playing it’s to hug the pulley better/stronger which is achieved with shrinking the length of the belt around it.

    • @cl55amgrenntech84
      @cl55amgrenntech84 Před 4 lety +1

      Its funcional its not for the look . And i make make own parts i dont have to spend $ 400 that just crazy

    • @alexanderthegreat8067
      @alexanderthegreat8067 Před 4 lety +1

      cl55 amg renntech show me proof. Show me where someone had better results with that vs shorter belt. Bro I won’t respond after this but common sense it to make that belt grip or wrap around that pulley more than with a stock belt. So using shorter belt or belt wrap kit it’s the same but hey you think it’s better than have it your way. My car it’s almost 700hp and no belt slipping at all but than again to each his own.
