    Rally Series… 19” wheels and a great all around package for a sports car that you can use as a daily driver

      It's a great car! The handling is phenomenal and so far, my clients that have the RS's are very pleased with the daily driving feel of it.

      Yeah, I'm not sure why they'd change the trim name between the countries, but I prefer RS as well.

    Sapphire Blue is an exclusive color? You mean its a limited color?

    they need to bring back the STI, though VB owners like my wife will say how great the FA24 engine is (which it is, one of the best Subaru has made), they forget STI owners don't buy it for straightline power, they buy the STI for handling and track capabilities. STI has front LSD, center active DCCD diff, and rear LSD. VB ain't it, with open front diff and open rear diff with electronic brakepad vectoring straight from the Crosstrek and Forester.

    • @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist
      @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist  Před 2 měsíci

      I'd love for the STI to come back. It'd likely have the same FA24 as the VB, just with a few other changes to get more power out of it.
      All of the things that made the STI an STI were great and added tons of capability to the car - I guess time will tell.

    Hi ,I just recently bought a new 24 vb wrx ,it had 11km on the odometer,,,drove it home from dealership around 10km in reasonably good traffic stop n go at lights,,,got home and all of a sudden fair bit off smoke came from under the hood ,,,retailer said it was normal break in ,,,however I'm still concerned about what that was initially,,,there has been no other time smoke has come out ,,,would appreciate anybody's help out there thank you

    • @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist
      @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist  Před 2 měsíci

      That’s quite the experience you had! I can’t say that smoke from under the hood is part of the normal break in experience… Did it smell like like burning electrical or coolant? What color was the smoke?

    The MSRP of the Sport Tech is $100 more than the RS, what are some of the features you get on the ST and not RS?

    • @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist
      @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist  Před 3 měsíci +1

      In the Sport-Tech, you get built in Navi, HK Audio, 10 way adjustable power drivers seat, heated outboard rear seat, Sun roof, "regular" WRX suspension and steering, 18's as opposed to the 19's in the RS. There's a few other things, but those are the meat & potatoes of it.
      It's more "comfortable" for daily driving, while the RS is performance/tracked focused.

    • @Lyfey1
      @Lyfey1 Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@TysonTheSubaruSpecialist Interesting! Even tho it has more “high end” features, I’d imagine the RS will still be hugely more desirable since probably 90% of buyers would prefer performance over comforts. I still can’t wrap my mind around why it’s cheaper than the ST.

    • @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist
      @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist  Před 3 měsíci

      @Lyfey1 I think it'll be a 50/50 split. Some people really want the performance of the RS, while some just want something with a bit of power and AWD.
      Navigation, HK Audio and Sun Roofs aren't cheap - they probably eat up a big chunk of the price difference that you would expect there to be between the two trims.

    How hard and expensive would it be to get the sport tech and put in tne Brembo brakes or other brakes that would be better than tbe stock brakes?

    • @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist
      @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Changing brakes out isn't that hard. It would be pricey as they're Brembos. You should call your local dealerships parts and servi e dept. and ask for a quote.

  • @david_coulter
    @david_coulter Před 2 měsíci +1

    How hard would it be to have an aftermarket audio system put into this? Wish it had the HK and I'd be completely sold

    • @david_coulter
      @david_coulter Před 2 měsíci +1

      also do you think the Recaros would be comfortable for longer drives?

    • @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist
      @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist  Před 2 měsíci

      An audio shop could easily upgrade the stock system in the RS to something really good!
      I dont think that I'd be comfortable in the Recaros on longer drives, but comfort is completely subjective.
      I'm a bigger guy and don't think I'd be comfortable, but everyone is different.

      @@TysonTheSubaruSpecialist hoping to buy either an RS this summer, or a 2023 sport tech...sport tech is obviously cheaper as not brand new...but i like those brembos and recaros. Will all come down to how those recaros feel and how each one drives

    • @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist
      @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist  Před 2 měsíci

      @david_coulter the RS feels better on the road, imo.

    Soooooo, eliminate the useless sunroof, slap on big brakes, tighten up the suspension, and the only thing you're really giving up is the HK sound? Sign me up! It's far less expensive to aftermarket fix the sound system than it is to put on a BBK.

    • @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist
      @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist  Před 2 měsíci +1

      I would say that a Sun roof is completely subjective, some love it and some hate it.
      We haven't been able to keep them in stock, people seem to really see the value in it.

      Oh wow no premium sound either???

    • @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist
      @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist  Před 2 měsíci

      It sounds like you are really looking for a Sport Tech instead of an RS.
      If you run regular fuel, it adjusts the timing and you get less performance and economy out of it.

      I think you sacrifice a little in convenience and luxury features when you’re buying a sports car… you can’t hear music when you are red lining it anyway.
      Also you don’t get a sun roof because you don’t want it to break when you roll it down the side of the mountains
