Sad fact:
At the end of the opening when MC throws the MP3 player, he disappears, but everyone else stays behind. Because…..well…you know.
Unfortunately the request to watch a couple cutscenes from FES went unfulfilled, mostly the introduction and the Orpheus/Thanatos awakening would have been worth it
Thinking on the death of loved ones, something I always found interesting about my own experience is that my grandfather died when I was like, 8 years old. And in my memory, I remember it not being that big of a deal, I remember not being all that close with him, the nature of his generation of men just tending to be a bit more stoic and distant. But according to my parents, at the time I was not only devastated, I told them something to the effect of "Everything feels wrong now, and I don't think it's ever gonna get better". Like I was DESTROYED by his passing, and I just... have no memory of it.
All that to say, it's interesting how death effects us, even in ways we ourselves may not recognize.
Here is a think I noticed. In the intro you see a red spider lillie. These often represent goodbye foreshadowing the mc’s fate.
I'm so glad you enjoyed this game and had solace in knowing Makotos fate. As someone who's been diagnosed with Major Depressive disorder, I don't know if it only afflicts me for a moment or big episodes across my life. I played P3R for the first-time knowing Makoto would die, although facing life and cherishing the time you have is what makes it utterly beautiful. His journey going from a reserved guy with repressed trauma to someone who's willing to sacrifice everything for everyone is truly valiant. The game speaks to me in a way that 4 and 5 hasn't. I'm holding off on P2 rn, only played 15 mins but I love it so far.

Persona 3 hits you so hard, because there is going to be one moment in your life you had to face death and lose. Every thing every moment is going to be lost like tears in rain, but persona 3 tells you, you should live the best of your life, even it’s short, even it’s sad and hard. People usually remember and focus on Memento Mori which means: “remember that you dies”, but there is actually a second phrase behind Memento Mori, it’s Memento Vivre, means: “remember that you lives”
The discussion of losing someone die as I lost my Father a couple years ago and having played this game it really hit home for me, so when Akinari's Mother talked about spending that time with your loved one and just being there for the ones your love really does remind me personally that I wish I had spent more time with my Dad. It is one reason that this game became my favorite Persona game because of how real the theme of death is and is so relatable. I'm glad to have gotten to experience it within my own playthrough and your playthrough. I'm glad you enjoyed it and thank you for sharing the experience and your thoughts throughout the playthrough!
The art of MC and Aigis looking up at each other is wild. I love it!
I have a theory about P3 and P5 had a deep connection more than we thought but I will tell you after you finish episode Aigis
I wish you'd put openings as a whole. I had to watch through the stream.
I just realized that Orpheus looks a lot like Aigis, which means that putting the Death arcana into the protagonist also left a part of Aigis in him that manifested into Orpheus. That part then grew with him in those 10 years and eventually returned to Aigis. She really did never left his side.

One of best game adaptation must watch
First really harrowing almost death experience(not counting the other times I almost drown at pools or rivers)
Is when I had dengue fever for a week or so at that point, I was vomiting SO MUCH that I was choking on my own barf, some even entered my lungs
I tried getting a roommate to help, but since I COULDNT SAY ANYTHING it took them like the next 2 minutes of NOT DOING ANYTHING TO HELP a CHOKING PERSON
Id really love if he reacted to the Persona 3 movies, i really like them
The Ultimax opening would have been cool to see his reaction to the older SEES members.
Kinda wished he reacted to all the grown up p3 characters in p4 arena/ultimax

You had one job, chat, show him the FES cutscenes to see how edgy and artsy the game was originally meant to be! Don't get me wrong, it was a nice video, but that was a huge missed opportunity.
Plenty of people mentioned it trust me, it just got lost in the sauce the further in we went and then he just said "k we're done with the reaction part" so yeah

@@michaelmorbillionmorbius3596 the FES opening does, and it's a bad opening anyway (song is great, visuals are terrible, it's just literal gameplay scenes from both main game and the Answer).
We were talking about the 2D animated main story cutscenes from P3 (and FES) like the Awakening and the introduction with the protagonist walking around and Yukari pointing the gun to herself, which was much better than Reload's imo
Congratulations on finishing pretty much everything related to Persona 3 (on the present time).
Only thing to do is playing the DLC :D
After that I recommend you to play (or watch) Persona 4 Arena/ Arena Ultimax. It would be perfect, if you continue with P4AU!
Also, could you also react to the Persona 3 movies? It‘s a four parted movie series and re-tells the P3 story. Now you can recognize some hinted details because you now know the complete story.

The final shot of the bad ending hits so hard. They're wonderful life changing friendships changed into meaningless casual friendly relationships. Little more than acqauaintances.
I have a question. Do you ever plan to play Danganronpa games on stream or are they not on your radar? Or have you already played it? If you didn't, I think you'll really enjoy them, especially the first one.(or maybe because you play mosty games that people want to see than games that intrest you, or you're just not intrested in Danganronpa, but I don't know, just sayin) btw. I was watching some of your reactions for a year or so now, and I really love both of your commentary during the reactions and your discussions at the end, and your thoughts when you play games are fascinating. I especially liked your playthrough of Persona 4, Dark Souls 1 and Dark Souls 3(even though I hate that game😅). So I was wondering if you would ever play the Danganronpa Series on stream, not now but someday.
Ps: about Persona 3 Reload, I would say my favorite story and theme is Persona 4 "The Truth Seekers" is really up my taste, but P3 is also great. Not gonna lie I liked it more than the P5 Story(not the characters, the story). But to keep it short (although I would like to keep writing) I will say that Reload was a solid 8.5/10 (The only version I played was Portable, and it was also 8.5 maybe 8)Sorry if it's too long and if my English is bad, but that's all I wanted to say, have a lovely day.😄

It's weird that in the movie Aigis is the one who really opposed the idea of keeping Ryoji alive but they still keep the original PS2 version in reload where she agreed to let him live. I more prone to the movie side since she is a robot and the decision of them letting Ryoji alive doesn't make any sense logically
In game she opposed it until SEES convince her to live though

And yet in the bad ending nyx still came
I mean, Ryoji did say she would arrive whether Minato kills him or not. They just wouldn't remember anything and possibly delay The Fall.
That's because Nyx isn't just a god, she's a concept. She is Death itself so long as Death is a thing (which will always exist because Time is also a thing) she will be there. All Ryoji did when he was killed was erase everyone's memories of the Dark Hour, but not the effects so because the 12 Shadows had been recombined with Nyx, The Fall was going to happen no matter what, it's just that this time, SEES wasn't there to try and fight back and Makoto wasn't there to become The Great Seal.
The game already told you at the beginning "The end will come you can pluck your ears or cover your eyes it will never go away" like how this game Metaverse work P4 and P5 you can choose to go to Shadow world or not but in P3 Metaverse came to you and you can't do anything about it only thing you can do is let it pass
I'm gonna warn you, The Answer is probably the most notorious thing in the Persona series. I'm not trying to dissuade you from getting it, hell I've never played it and I don't plan on getting it (only because there's one certain part of it I can't bring myself to go through), I just figured I'd give you a warning. That being said though, there may be some changes that'll make it better than before.
