You know, when the games are being played, I hate Doughty. But really, that's because of how great a player he is, and how tough he is to play against. But when the series are done, I really do like and respect that guy. He's a warrior. He's honest, funny, and a worthy adversary. Guy could play on my team any day, and I'll be rooting for him if he pulls on the Team Canada jersey for sure. Great series, Kings. Let's try to avoid each other in the first round next year. Then the rest of the league can see just how tough an out LA really is. Cheers. - an Oilers fan.
With how he talks about wanting to help Brandt Clarke develop as a defensive player, i could see Drew making a great defensive coach when his playing days are over.
For Doughty to say, this is the best he has ever felt after a series is shocking. For a player to still feel great after a playoff series, tells me that he had more to offer âŠđł
Kings are missing one or two impact players. Speedy scorers. Offense was missing throughout the season. Wont ever win a playoff series until this is addressed.

I donât agree with anything Drew says here. This team is going to end up like Pittsburgh if they keep making short term moves just to keep Kopitar and Drew happy. Itâs not like theyâre going to be around for the mess after their careers are over.
Tough playoffs Drew, you started the loss in Game 3 single handedly. Maybe you should watch the iPad on the bench every now and then?? Entire team next year has to compete hard, 10 years is a long time to not advance in playoffs. Git er dun!!!!
Plain and simple, the Kings wouldn't have stood a chance against any other team in the West. It's time for them to shake things up, trading their smaller assets for picks and adopting the Ducks' approach. Doughty, Kopitar, Kempe, and Anderson should all be on the trading block. The Kings just don't have what it takes to compete.
I disagree, I feel like vs almost any other team the kings would have done better against. I think Hiller decided to keep the system the guys know instead of throwing it out and trying to learn a whole new system. I donât think the defensive 1-3-1 is going away, but I think theyâll implement a better offensive system for next season.
@@Gaylel1 The Kings have been overachieving for the past few years and honestly didn't merit a playoff spot, hence the 1-3-1 play style. If they had started a rebuild three years ago, they'd be in a better position today. It's time to trade away their remaining assets for value now or let them retire as Kings, but all they'll have to show for it is cap space. Either way, it's evident they're not a strong team.
Drew is always well spoken and truthful. We appreciate everything you've given us thus far.

You'll always be loved in Los Angeles, Drew. Thank you for what you've given us so far.

+1
I really like this Drew fellow. Hate playing against him, hate it even more when he scores against us. But geesh, I respect the heck out of him.
Drew is the best. So glad we got him. Keep him until he retires
LA wonât get better till they get rid of BlakeâŠ

If Oilers had this guy the Oilers would be world beaters
LUV U DREW! Youâre a treat to watch play every other night! Hands down my favorite player in the league atm. GKGđ„2025
True legend!! So psyched to have him in our team. I hope we can build this summer to keep him here. GKG!!
Drewwwwwwwww!!!!
Love your fire Drew. Looking forward to better things next season. Enjoy the summer hit the beach with the kids!
Love Drew. #GoKingsGo
Drew if you canât beat them join them.
I love Doughty. Kopitar has solidified himself as a Kings legend but I always felt Doughty should have been given the C.
Kopitar is more mature
Love Dewy, I dont see him as a captain, but he certainly wears the hell out of that A and has matured like crazy over the years
Doughty, you have to watch what you wish forâŠYou wanted the Oil,and you got the Oilđ
Come play for the Oilers.
Ha that be epic
Drew, come play for Edmonton.
So how does it feel to know that it was the oilers that put you out?

Marner for Doughty + picks. He deserves to be on a contender.
Marner donât deserve to go to a contender.
@@medhatshaun8660 I was obviously referring to Doughty.
@@pjmmaloney4458 Trading a 100 point young forward for a 34 year old Drew Doughty, seems like a good idea đ

The rebuild got cut short with Drew wanting to win now!
Drew itâs also starts with you as well. You missed a lot of plays as well this season.

Nothing wrong with losing to the awesome edmonton oilers.

Just avoid the Oilers next season.
Yeah,there you go.
Should never, never had traded for PLD...the guy is cancer

So trade their best players?
Do that and theyâll end up with an even shittier team. The draft pool is unimpressive
No!! We are tired of these rebuilds. Re took your line up and buy out PLDâs contract.
