  • In this video we where able to put a cover band on a field wall over in Silsden West Yorkshire.
I enjoyed this job as you don’t often get to repair these any more.
I also had a few running joints in this one but it was done very quick as a favour and didn’t take enough time to step away.
I’m still happy with the end result and it will be stood strong for many years to come.

Great work. Must feel very satisfying to bring it back to some order! 👍

Nice job. Walling's a young man's game. Hope you price your work accordingly for your back's sake.

hi..nice job...Is there a purpose for the stones you put on the top floor to be placed vertically? Is the purpose just aesthetic?

It just spreads the weight across the top corse of the wall but I know it’s done differently in different parts of the country/ world

Tom, you may have mentioned this in a previous video but how long have you been walling? How did you learn, did you apprentice?

Hey, I’m not sure if I’ve covered this to be honest but I started walking when I was 7 with my grandad, he trained me into my teens but it was only local work and for my mums horse yard back then. I’ve learned a lot off of a lot of people over the years though. It seems that there’s something to learn of most people 😊
      I’m 31 now too
