I am new to IT having just started in November of 2020. I have passed A+ (Core 1 and Core 2), Server+, Network+, and tonight, after three weeks of study utilizing Professor Messer's videos and the Comptia Objectives, I just passed Security+. Thank you Professor. I - on a whim - decided to take my sec+ - so I sped watched your entire security+ series on 1.5x speed in 4 days and with the help of your videos and a external practice test app i was able to pass my security+ with a 756/900 - talk about a close call, but with only 4 days of studying a pass is a pass!

Professor Messer - thank you for your training videos, they helped me tremendously! Two months ago I went over your videos, flagged areas that I needed additional study, listened to your monthly Security+ monthly groups - all of which were extremely helpful. Fast forward to Weds morning, I took my Security+ exam and passed it with NO Problems! Again, thank you!
Passed my exam today! I have to say, these videos were essential to me passing. I used professor messer's videos for my A+, Net+, and Sec+ and they are a must for preparing. James, I want to say thank you for creating these videos as they were the keystone on me being successful on the security+ exam today. Thank you @professor Messer. I passed mine 2 days ago. These videos are a must to understand the concepts. However I highly highly recommend purchasing the practice exams. There are 3 exams in it with 80 questions each. Go through the videos first and follow along the study guide pdf which follows the video numbering format. Then take the practice exams. Whether you get the question right or wrong on the practice exam, read every explanation of the right and wrong answers. By doing this you are learning multiple things at each question. i prepared for this in 6 weeks which i dont recommend. I will say that those with prior Networking experience is a huge plus but not an an absolute requirement. Good luck to those preparing for the exam. Also look for simulation practice exams online.
Can’t thank you enough for making these videos. Studied for the Security+ before with other resources for a month, but was able to pass watching these videos for an entire week, non-stop anywhere I had some sort of downtime. The teacher makes such a big difference, thank you again!!!

@@natedogg09balla Thank you! Sure: I'll suggest to download the objectives first. Buy Messer's notes - or a good book- and read it all. Take notes. Check the objectives again and see what you don't understand. Now, watch Messer's videos to fill those gaps until you can and start doing Messer's practice tests -His exams are similar to the real one. Once you do all that, go over the objectives again and see if you understand every single one. Good luck, you can do this!

@@pantherabbas2251 I would recommend their official app. It was $10 and I used it everyday to get exposure to all the different types of questions you could see. It doesn't however have any PBQs so I subscribed to @cyberkraft because he has some amazing walkthroughs of the PBQs and how to go about breaking them down. I can't recommend cyberkraft enough. I would also take as many practice exams as possible. Different vendors will word the questions differently so it was beneficial for me to get a wide array of questions. Good luck and I hope it helps.

Hi Professor, I just wanted to say thank you so much! You played a crucial role in helping me break into the IT field. I worked as a mover for a couple years right after school and I knew it was time to make a change. I started my studies with this exact video, and I just wanted to come back here and show my gratitude. After receiving this cert, I applied to a bunch of DoD positions and was fortunate enough to be offered an IT Specialist position (which I accepted of course). It was frightening at first because the application said it "required" 2-3 of experience, something I didn't have, but I figured just do it anyway. Well, I've been working for 2 weeks now and just wanted to thank you again for saving my life and giving me a career to grow in :))

Write down in your own words any concepts you do not understand until they make sense. 2. Look into your local library's Interlibrary Loan system for free test books and CZcams for teachers, do not pay for anything beyond the test admission fees. Good luck!

I'll be real, I found almost none beyond what the study guide books had that I borrowed from my library and interlibrary loan system. Get this, I think I blew all my scenario-based questions, yet I passed. Good luck!@@ladyt9000

@@goodsongs1347 I believe I had 4 PBQs but I think it can be up to 5. So, one could have 2 PBQs then up to 88 more multiple choice. I have found with CompTIA though to not count on this. As I didn't even have 90 questions on my Sec+ exam, more like 80

How far did you need to go in the playlist to pass? I failed with just under (within like 20 points) going off of what I learned in school two years ago lol. So not bad, but I obviously would like to pass. What got me was those performance based one's I am sure. Did not plan on configuring Kerberos, as I thought that would be a network+ thing

@@jaeprince6080 I did a watch through of professor messer as my first step in my studies and then did a watch through again before I took the test. I completed the Jason Dion course but I personally don’t recommend it. I felt that it led me way off track from what material I really needed to focus on. With his tests, he seems to hyper focus on certain topics and not cover much of what he talked about in his lessons. I took a 3 day boot camp through Training Camp to study as well. They offer free boot camps and 1 free voucher for different military members if interested. I did thoroughly enjoy it and feel like it helped the most along with professor messers videos. I recommend flash cards for ports and study groups if you find one. I hope this helps!

Professor , I watched your vids , did practice tests on Udemy, and even went to a week long course for Sec+. Unfortunately, I didn't pass my initial Sec+ exam. I felt the answers were so broad , and that I over thought the questions to a certain degree, BUT I DIDNT GIVE UP! I studied for a few more weeks and drilled the practice tests harder, and I passed CASP+ first try!
Hopefully you see this! This is the first step in a new life for me; sincerest thank you for making this information readily available , digestible to the novice level people, and free!!!!

Thanks to Professor Messer's notes, practice exams, and resources, I managed to study and pass A+ Core 1 and Core 2, along with Network+, in just three weeks. Now planning on taking Security+ soon, and cannot wait to keep learning and developing in the field.
