- 48 hours in Copenhagen: wandered around Strøget to shoot some street photography, woke up super early to photograph the famous Nyhavn, a 17th-century waterfront, canal and entertainment district. Did a bicycle tour and went on a mini craft beer pub crawl. Spoiler: I ended up shooting a lot with the 20-70mm f4 G lens!
FILMED WITH:
- sony zv-e1 + e 11mm f1.8
- sony a7c ii + 20-70mm f4 G
- iphone 15 pro
OTHER GEAR USED:
- 85mm f1.8
- 50mm f2.5 G
OTHER FAQs:
- Microphones: Sony ECMB10, or in-camera microphones
- Nothing was shot in Log, likely used PP11 (S-Cinetone)
- Used a variable ND filter for some shots on super sunny days
- I am not a full-time CZcamsr or creator; I do this for fun

Another great video Justine! Absolutely stunning visuals. We love the Evil Twin/Mikkeller story as well. Did you know that sadly Mikkeller sold parts of the company to Carlsberg so they are not really craft beer anymore? We think this reflects in the quality of the beer these days. Evil Twin on the other hand is still independent and keeps brewing crazy good beers. Seems like sometimes the evil twin is the good guy 😁🍺 We're looking forward to your future videos, keep up the amazing work. Cheers!
The thing about the medieval part of Copenhagen is basically that you cannot really get lost. You don't really have to plan where to go but simply wander around because you will sooner or later get to places where the light is just right.
Many of the streets in the medieval part of Copenhagen are narrow but actually not as narrow as they were originally prior to the big fires in 1728, 1795 and 1807.
One of the most original and oldest streets in the old part of Copenhagen today is probably Magstræde where you will be able to get a glimpse of how Copenhagen mostly appeared several hundred years ago.
Due to all the big fires in Copenhagen (mentioned above), there are not a lot of buildings in the old part of Copenhagen older than 1728. Round Tower is obviously one of them (the attached church actually burned down so that has been rebuilt). A few buildings within the old university grounds also pre-date 1728 one wing of Helligåndskirken dates all the way back to around 1400 where it was a monastery.
Beautiful pictures.
TIP: Should you come back to CPH one day, go to the Metro very early, before people start using it seriously. You can take some interesting pictures of the escalators. Without any people in it, it is "hard" to see what it is. I saw a guy who took some photos there, he's pictures were some of the best I haver seen.
If you are in to architecture, then take the Metro to Ørestad. The buildings are very futuristic. Each time I see pictures from there, it reminds me of the movie Bladerunner.
Have a happy life.
I’ll definitely return, thank you for the recommendations!
@@BadSloucher Cool.
Remember, Ørestad is very much Eastern part, so there is a good chance for some brilliant morning photos with long shadows.
this felt really easy and refreshing to watch., really appreciated your commentary
I've had this a7c ii for like 9 months, never used it for photography... yet hahah
Hi Justine,
Very nice shots playing skillfully with light and shadow, along with your very personal, honest and pleasant presentation. 👍👍
Doing street photography, don't take along too much gear and try shooting light and simple (one lens one camera).
Keep up with your interesting videos, because you've got talent and the right mindset.
Stay safe!
Great video Justine, love the progression. Keep it up!
Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful !!
I am in Copenhagen at the moment and did the exact same thing... I took a photo of an iconic space that many have taken before me... and thousands will take only days after.... but they didn't take my pic.
(shooting on a Leica SL3 w/ 14 - 24 & 24 - 90). wish our paths would have crossed.
Thanks for a great video Justine. It must be a lot of work putting together these seamless videos. I really enjoyed it. I have an A7CII as well, which is how I found your channel. I use it with a GoPro Hero 10 for vlogging which keeps the weight down and you don't have to risk your phone. In good light the picture is excellent, it might be a lighter and cheaper alternative than your Sony ZV-E1 for travel.
Thank you. Yeah, I might consider a GoPro, especially if I plan to shoot in the rain. I have a GoPro Hero 8 Black and I found the audio quality really good while hiking; it would focus on my voice rather than the crunchy footsteps!
@@BadSloucher I plug a Rode Wireless Go II into my GoPro (I bought the media mod cage) it is such a tiny set-up.
Great video! Keep it up :D
Fun!
Copenhagen is beautiful. Been there many times.
How do you make such dark photos like at 2:47? Is that some kind of filter? It looks really cool
Beautiful place. I'd love to try Sony cameras sometime.
You we’re lucky because it’s been raining ☔️ so much
Thanks so much for watching, Milly!! 🫶 I was so lucky indeed!
TBH, you should get the pocket 3 instead.
I have it. I didn’t bring it on this trip. I have more thoughts about it that I’ll share in a separate video
Thanks for the video! Do you have Bellroy Venture Camera edition? If so, does it get flat pretty nicely? Thanks!
Yes, it’s the camera edition. It doesn’t have compression straps to get it flat, but it’s a decent shape that it accommodates mirrorless camera bodies and lenses comfortably. Hope that helps!

why you are apologizing for eating burgers and drinking a beer? I don't get it.....
