- This Ebay kit says it fits Avengers with a 2.4 up to year model 2010. It did not come with the necessary hardware to connect the crankcase vent and the mounting is very flimsy. You will need additional hardware to install this on your car but considering it cost about $32 you get what you pay for. With a little modification this kit should be perfect. 2023 UPDATE!! I used this video as a tutorial , bought a BlingLights short ram intake for 2.4 2014 Dodge Avenger and i’m LOVIN it . a lot more aggressive growl and more soothing cruise. Paid about 80$ for the intake and 20$ for a Temp Control Unit at AutoZone because these kits don’t come with one. Also mine did not need any mounting it fits perfectly.
Is there anywhere I can talk to you so I can see pics of it? Just got a 2014 SE I’m doing some work on an I wanna see how it looks and what install would be like.
The mount should at least be slightly giving I presume?
I'm a bit confused, instead of adding in that fuel line you could have just used a hose clamp to hold it in place.
These things are the biggest gimmick ever but I did put one in a dodge intrepid I bought with a missing airbox, I made a bottom half box for it out of an old kitty litter bucket I cut down, it actually fit almost perfectly in the factory spot then I just notched the side so the warm air intake would fit through so the bottom of the filter was protected from snow and water.
Is it the same process with a 13 avenger?
You keep saying it sounds good but is it faster?that's what people wanna know
Do you notice a difference in anything now you have the cold air intake ?
Mostly the sound while under hard acceleration.
@@Charger383Mopar lol
Isn't kinda pointless to put that CAI because it so close to the engine? I have the same car and my ECU got fried because of the heat :P
U fried it because of a cold air intake?
That not real cai. That what you call a short ram air intake.. cai cost more and they usually come with heatsheild to prevent motor heat getting sucked up.
Some people say the car will respond faster with one of this? Yours did that? Or is just the sound that changed?
The only thing I really noticed was the sound.
I've actually taken it off not that long ago and reinstalled a factory air cleaner box.
@@Charger383Mopar why?
I was thinking about installing the same intake system or a k&n
If I had a K&N kit I would have left it on. I Mainly just wanted to see a factory air cleaner box back on.
@@Charger383Mopar is k&n better than the one you got? Does it live up to the hype? Not sure if I wanna spend that much on a k&n if there are no huge difference between the two
What year is this Avenger?
This is an 09
The check engine light is on.
I've heard that the new system can make that turn on because the computer is confused about the new amount of air coming in and that you would have to reprogram it.
wish you would have shown the actual step by step, even taking the box out, but you skipped that.. ugh that sound is not something I like, I prefer a little bit quieter.. mm
Are you on Instagram?
