  • This breathtaking walk takes in so many stunning features in just 6 miles. It begins at the tiny hamlet of Skelwith Bridge and after only a few minutes you arrive at the first waterfall along the walk; Skelwith Force. This powerful waterfall crashes over the rocks and plunges around 15ft into a deep plunge pool. From here the riverside path is followed past the stunning viewpoint of the Langdale Pikes over Elterwater.
Heading out of the village of the same name, the walk heads up and over a small hill into Little Langdale, offering breathtaking views to Little Langdale Tarn before crossing Slater Bridge, a 17th Century Packhorse Bridge and easily the most photographed bridge in the Lakes! From here its only 5 minutes to the most magical and hidden landmark of Little Langdale; Cathedral Cave. This massive chamber is actually a quarry and offers visitors a chance to explore underground!
Continuing along the walk the path follows the Cumbria Way to pass the seconds stunning waterfall of the day; Colwith Force as it crashes about 50ft into a ravine. The Cumbria Way eventually leads back to Skelwith Bridge.
    Distance: 10.8km

Hiya Joe. This looks an ideal walk that all the family could do. Who couldn't fall in love with Langdale? Absolutely beautiful area. I was up over Lingmoor Fell & Side Pike a few weeks back so was great to see you point it out again to remind me of a smashing day I had. Thanks for sharing your great day out. Loved it!

This walk looks EPIC! 😍 Especially with that sunshine after all the rain you had before. Cathedral Cave looks insanely cool, I wanna walk in there while dramatic music plays 😂 Also, love the bit about struggling with the wind on the hilltop - been there, done that! Definitely adding this to my Lake District bucket list. Thanks for the awesome video!

Great video again Joe and you certainly picked the right day. You captured the beautiful scenery perfectly young man. I also enjoyed the graphics you used to identify the mountains, could I please ask which software you use ? Thanks for sharing, best wishes.
    Regards
