During my corporate career, our company won a $2.5mm but it wasn't going well so they created a role for me and had me manage the entire contract nationwide vs my previous role was regional. I soooo needed your guidance back then but thankfully I was still able to grow it from $2.5 to $20mm! Thrown into the deep end for sure!!
That’s an amazing accomplishment especially for being thrown in the deep end!

Ma'am, I've opted for Business Analytics(more data oriented) and Project management-IT. Will the technical skills be value addition to project management role?
Hi Varun. Any additional skill you gain will be an asset. It is also important to gain practical project management skills as well. I do have a 45 min webinar that I think will benefit you. Hi Adriana,
Thank you so much for this amazing content. I'm a kinda in the middle of a situation. I've been working as a software developer for 6 years and I've heavily involved in PM/Scrum Master role duties. I've also received CAPM from PMI as well. I've started applying for the jobs but no one cares about your skills. It's all about if you had the title before or not and they don't look at previous job descriptions or transferrable skills you have. Is there any suggestion you can give here? Is it really impossible for someone like me to transition into the field?
Hi Sam…my biggest suggestion is to connect with a career specialist or executive recruiter. They can review your CV and let you know how to make it even better. You can’t control how prospective employers review your resume but you can control how your resume is laid out and where you submit your resume. Be patient and consistent with applying for jobs….over time something will come up.
Wow thank you so much for replying my comment really quick! I'll defintiely follow your instructions and keep you posted @@AdrianaGirdler
I love this
Thank you! Are you considering a career path in project management?
@@AdrianaGirdler oh... Yes I am, preferably Tech related projects.
Currently I'm preparing to write the CAMP exam early next year

Hello! I'm enrolling into a university at the moment that offers a B.A. (Hons) in architecture (RIBA accredited) and a BEng (Hons) in architectural engineering. I am interested in both, and I want to become either a project manager or a Design manager in the future after getting work experience. Which one do you recommend I do for my bachelor's?
Follow where you passion lies. Is there is one that piques your interest more then the other? Maybe set up an appointment with the University and speak with an academic advisor there. It would really help answer any questions you have between the two programs and that may help you decide. Wishing you all the best with your studies and thanks for watching, cheers!
is it normal that my client wants me to rehearse the project presentation with her before I present to their board of executive?
There is nothing wrong with rehearsing prior to the project presentation. It will allow you both to ensure that nothing needs to be changed or corrected. As they say, practice makes perfect! Thanks for watching, cheers!
