If Xavi does not give this team an identity, if Barca don't play as one solid unit we are going to suffer the same heartache. yeah sillva would be great, as we need experienced players, instead of overplaying our teenagers. If we don't have someone to play instead of lamine, while he's still young and developing, he's gonna get injured and another ansu fati will happen. And by the time silva's performances will start dropping, guess who we'll have to replace him on that right wing, lamine yamal.
I get that Guido is free but we should either sign a top CDM or not at all coz Christensen is already doing a good enough job, just needs to improve in attack. It would be a midfield overload for no reason.
Felix as a false 9 would fit perfectly with the wingers we currently have, and tracking back wouldn’t be much of a problem as he can just focus on leading the frontline in the press. That’s the only way we’re going to get the best out of him. It’ll be a good and more experienced option for easing Lewa out of the squad compared to Roque or Guiu as well and Ferran’s always been at his best as a winger. If not, it’s better to let him go; no point keeping a player if you’re not even trying to get the best out of them.
He can't press
His problem hasn’t really been pressing; it’s been tracking back to help his fullback defensively. He’s been largely mismanaged at Atléti so he may not be perfect on the press but that’s nothing a good coach shouldn’t be able to fix in him. Easier to coach him into a better presser than a tracking back winger(and he’s played most of his career and at his best as a second striker, attacking midfielder and false 9 so off the ball winger traits won’t come naturally to him)
You would be shocked how many people really understand that. And to add to your point I think that we should also consider using him as a LF instead of a LW. On paper he should be represented as a LW but I think he should play as a LF who has freedom in that SS and CAM positions with FDJ covering for him defensively. He is an incredible player and I think he can be a guaranteed starter if he can be played properly
That LF position is actually what we’ve been trying to do with him with Cancelo or Balde overlapping but at the same time we’re expecting him to defend out wide and track back which doesn’t make total sense. Would be a better idea for him to press alongside Lewa or a better presser than Lewa while the left sided CM helps the LB defensively. But I ultimately rather play him as a false 9. It just solves so many problems at once: Lewandowski trying to drop deep and linkup(something Felix is more suited to anyways); the option of having two pacey wingers on both sides that are likely to track back when needed; easing Lewa out of the squad as Felix is a more experienced option than Roque and Guiu; maintaining that box midfield shape; Felix and another midfielder or winger sharing the responsibility on the press rather than Lewandowski and another player having to carry him by doing most of the pressing.

About zubi/nico
1. You can't negotiate release clauses into amortization. Spanish release clauses are one go unlike sale clauses in other places. It is detrimental for finances if barca triggers a release clause. It is actually better to negotiate even a higher fee with sociedad/athletic bilbao than trigger the clause as it will be amortized.
2. Zubimendi won't move to any other spanish club. He has been very open about not leaving next season anywhere even.
Other than zubimendi Andre from Fluminense(30m) is the absolute best fit for the pivot. I believe 1000% he could be the heir to take us back to the champions league finals

I think Raphina is the one most likely to be sold, Frankie is the second option, then probably Lewandovski. We are stocked in midfield and RW belongs to Lamin, anyone can see that. I'd love for both to stay, but I think the club are most likely to budge with the valuation of these 2, as opposed to Jules or Ronald.

The biggest mistake a club can do is offer its very young players a long contract with high salary. i mean ansu gets close to 250k euro per week. which even a lot of top footballers dont get. i dont want to say that Ansu have lost a bit of motivation to perform at high stage but it might be the case, i mean just think about it , dude's getting paid close to 12 mill per year even if he sits in the bench. financially he is set for life even if he runs down his cointract at barca which is close to 50 mill. Why would u want to keep a player who is not showing signs of improvement and looks like he would also wont care about being on the bench just because of how much he is being payed. Ansu have been on bench completely in last few games at brighton, there certainly somnething wrong going on with him besides injuries which is making de zerbi to not trust him and he isnt even getting a single minute to play in last 3-4 games , and for one game wasnt even on the squad due to lack on consistency. Things dont look good for Ansu . He was very unlucky for his injury tho
