Love the way you do not allow anything to dampen your progress, an inspiration to us all
Hay for feed, straw for bedding, water against thirst. What more can the animals need? They are in animal heaven. ❤️🇨🇦
I wonder how those living in the Siberian area of Russia get water! Maybe they can teach you something.
You're still making progress even in the wintertime. Way to Go!
Bless you, you had the chance to stay indoors and keep warm, but you choose to work on. 👏👏. Well done to you both.
You guys are so awesome. Love watching your dedication to your huge project and to to your animals. May you both have peace and tranquility a your lives. Best regards from Cornwall, UK
The house with siding looks sooo Good! Be proud you guys!
OK, there’s crazy and then there’s you guys, no frigging way, the siding can wait
Thanks for allowing me to walk with you.
The only place that's not cold in North America...is the place that is usually cold. Here in Quebec, January is usually a -40c weather. Yesterday it was 0c. Almost no snow...we were wearing shoes in Montreal at Christmas (instead if shoe covers and boots). You are doing an amazing job, its really nice to see the progress you are making
Hey good afternoon or good morning hope you guys are having a wonderful day keep up the good work just one step at a time and make each other happy and God bless you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Despite the bad weather conditions, you did it well. In Belgium (150m above sea level) this year we have -8°C and 15cm of dry snow.
You guys are the best.
You guys are some freaking courageous. I was shivering in my comfy chair just looking at you guys work. Take it easy and hopefully you get the water issues solved. I live in eastern Canada and it hasn’t been very cold here yet but one thing is sure, it will come.
Greg get a longer bolt and drill hole on one end and get a Hitch pin and clip... Amazon CURT 21510 Hitch Pin & Clip... doing great you guys!
For your animals to have water, get some clean snow and put it in a bucket a lot of it packet.
My grandfather used to do it and it was good for the animal. They liked it so it won't hurt him. But make sure it's clean snow.
-29 feels like- 44 right now here in Mb. Fricken cold 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶I give u guys credit for working outside in this weather 👍
A metal 44 off the ground so you can build a fire under it to melt the ice.
cover up the plastic drum you have now. tarp the tote, the sun will warm up the tarp put the black side up.???
A guy needs a shop. At least 32’ x 48’ with at least 15’ eaves. Get busy. 😁 Seriously, I’m in the mountains and have been all my life. Got tired of working in the weather, on gravel, mud, snow, etc. Built a shop right before I built my house. No regrets and it’s so nice. 😊
Yes Katie this is what it's like I. Western New York State.
Good luck and God Bless your whole gang.
Be careful
Drain off the water out of your air compressor its freezing your gun. or add a few drops of oil at front air hose, this will lube gun...siding looks great!
with over 10 inches of snow, it was -18 and is now around -13, doors frozen, on our vehicles, had to climb in the backseat of pickup, and used my body weight, to try and open the backdoors. no luck, but got both front doors open, so I can load groceries. Newton , Iowa.
Catching up as been busy myself, wow you two sure don’t shy away from working unless it’s unsafe. Respect to you both, here in West Yorkshire UK up near Moors it’s been -2 so far, my ears pricked up when Greg said it’s -32, we just don’t know how lucky we are. Katie you both are doing amazing work with your cameras, they sure don’t like being cold. Love to you both ❤️💙xx
Blanket of clouds arriving here on Vancouver Island, warming up. Sending them your way!
God Bless from your Canadian Friend
Together may we give our Children
Room to grow and learn to fly.
Blessed with a beautiful peaceful home😊💕✌
Great work for the temperature. It got down to -34 with the wind chill at -40 here overnight. We have 2 barns. One for the chickens and 1 for the donkey and sheep. Thankful for the water heaters! BTW I really enjoy the music y'all play. Stay warm. I'm looking forward to your next video.
greets from the Netherlands
Determination, in site the unbearable cold, still allows you to make some progress on the siding! I went shopping with my daughter for some groceries on Saturday! I was cold with a strong wind blowing from the interior to the coast - an outflow wind - right on to the entrance/exit doors of the Superstore! Our hands stayed cold until we were home again - Chilliwack, BC. Just a little bit too cold for this old man! But today was quite a bit better!
Several days since maybe late December until now my outdoor thermometer has dropped down to +27*F. Thats an overnite reading
not during the day like you guys. But being in a hot desert region ( 115*F in summer ) I'm not aclimated to your type of cold. Your
temps stick around whereas ours happens compairativly temporarly at night while we are tucked in nice warm beds. But I can relate
because I was in Illinoise where the daytime temp was a very cold -23*F. There it was, for me, the coldest place I've ever been and it
was so cold it actually numbed my body so I almost didn't feel it. It amazes me how people can live in areas like yours and survive all
winter long like you do. That makes working outdoors way harder. My fur hats off to you for doing your work as well as you do in such
horrific weather conditions. Keep up the cooooold work because it is an inspiration to us all. Me southern AZ. (USA)
Hey, if you’re having problems with your battery, getting cold, take and get some handwarmers and put on them and keep them from getting cold
What about making a mount for the snow plow for the tractor? You already have hydraulics for the bucket. Great job getting the siding done in the cold.
How the heck did I miss this one 3 days ago? Better late than never! Also, I loved the intro song, was that Imaginary Future? The snow is so beautiful, hooray for the tractor plow, the animals are all adorable, and stay warm my friends, love you guys!❤
-42C central Alberta. BUT sunny
Great work guys - nearly there 👍🇬🇧
looks like a good day to grow roots into the couch
Good morning Katie. What a Beautiful young lady. You looked stunning in closeup cam shots. God Bless you and Greg in working in that cold weather. It can be so dangerous and tough on muscle legs going up n down that cold ladder. Sorry on your water news freezing over. I will send Prayers to you and hope there's a quick solution. You two together has so much strength and stamina to complete your home. Hoping that all goes well in upcoming weather. Big warm Hugs from Santa Barbara. 🤗😘👏🙏🌹🍷💕😎
I would not be in that cold. Wait so y'all don't get sick. As always be safe and God bless y'all from Georgia
Greetings..a Balmy -20 C not including wind chill..keep warm and safe ! From The Yukon Territory...😊
I admire your tenacity.
Have you thought about a heat lamp for the small chickens?
For big hand tools stop by a pawn shop if you can. They'll be old and cosmetically beat up because they've usually doubled as a hammer at some point, but they'll be good quality, usable, and won't cost you a fortune.
- 10 in east Europe with bright sunshine, no one, or dog should be outside in that extreme really, many years ago I experienced a -40 in Japan, not a splendent experience. take care you two.
Watching from Mexico 🇲🇽 and glad I don't have to drive experience that frigid weather
Hang in there! Things are going to get better...Do you ever melt snow for water ?I watch Alot of survival and OFF grid videos and when the need for water comes they use snow
Tool box bolted to the tractor is such a useful thing on a farm. I thought rare earth was safer for under animals bedding for smell (purchase large bags called stall dry for horses )
5:53... I call that "enhancing" the shot. So cute! Happy pups, happy life! Oh, I have a suggestion for a new channel name... "Rooftop Goats". How unique is it to have goats with rooftop access?
G'day from Far North Queensland in Oz where I'm watching in a pair of shorts, singlet and bare feet in our 33 degs C.
-17C/ -1F windchill here in WNY, that puppy isn't going to be cute and little very long! He's going to be a great addition to your homestead, stay warm and keep going! Working in this weather is difficult, to say the least. Do you have a feral pig?
2 degrees here this morning, nothing like what you guys are experiencing. Is admire your can do attitudes! So glad Greg is tied off with a harness working up there!
Congratulations for the soundtrack and filming.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
You two relax me....`cept when you drive funny. :)
-1 in Colorado Springs this morning. Nice intro with Dalton Day - Bravo!
15 degrees Fahrenheit this morning. All the way up to 20 at 1pm. Rained all day yesterday and was freezing as it fell. Over an inch of ice in my driveway. 🥶
The siding is looking good. The unknown animal looks like a bobcat. The pic after it was a bobcat with same markings. Great job guys.
Great video Greg and Katie
-38 here in Edmonton ... it's been down to -48 -50 overnight (without the windchill) .... lovely polar vortex ....
Sorry to hear about your water issues from previous issues. So if you plan on living there for life, what do you do ? Bigger water storage tanks buried, but you still have to fill them. Bite the bullet and go for a well ? Further back on your property in lower area maybe. The older you get, the more tired, frustrating what you been doing will wear you down. Plan ahead with a permanent solution, from a old retired guy. Cheaper now then later !
So impressed with the patience level with that Man! I would have thrown that nail gun! But not you. You stayed calm and git as far as you could. Brilliant that you are getting whatvyou can. Thanks for sharing
Always puts a smile on my face when I see one of my favorite youtube channels video to watch very good video as always keep up the good work take care of yourselves in this cold winter Cuddle up and get warm but don't cuddle up too close you wouldn't want to make this an X rated video
Greg look at your video when you were plowing snow . Your blade is tilted wrong. When you look at the video I noticed the top of your blade is tilted back. This causes you to carry your snow or dirt. You need to shorten your top link which will make your blade cut instead of ride over the surface. The top of your blade should be straight above the bottom or tilted forward . Forward tilted will let it cut in and you possibly can get back down to dirt that way. It also let's the snow roll off and the tractor doesn't work as hard. Let me know how it works out for you
You guys are tough.
Yes bigger water storage and water catchment on all them roofs so you can collect before this stuff freezes
Stay warm, siding, looking great😊
The bitter cold doesn’t stop you two! The snow is pretty. Be careful and stay warm & cozy, animals too😊
We love you guys
You are both the definition of resilience and ingenuity. Stay warm, stay safe.
Great job positive attitude gets thing done. Absolutely amazing work and great progress.
Keep it up you’ll get it done soon
Hi, use a cotton rag to paint, its like staining timber.
been 41 c here so hot
68 Degrees F/ here today in South Florida.....It was 84 Degrees F/ yesterday.
-40 in Saskatchewan
You two are very inspiring you keep going to get the work done, however can't blame you at -30'' to stop and go in. We have had -30 here in Ontario where I live , Katie sure makes sure all the animals are comfy that is a good animal parent. I could definitely see the water freezing up to be an issue nothing works well in these temperatures. Aspen sure has grown and looks very comfy. way to go folks and nice trail cam footage .
Hello,I'm new to your fan base, but have been watching your shows and think how well yall are doing,;have to say that's definitely the way to live..👍
Pretty cold here in lower eastern Michigan. -6 degrees..with wind chill.
Yall need to getcha a couple snow mobile's ..
Hi from Australia 🇦🇺
We are in our summer here & it’s 25 degrees which is 77 degrees Fahrenheit.
Admire your work ethic and persistence. We don’t get -30c here. Don’t want it! Hope you can resolve the water source ok. Worry about the high work, do take care of yourself. Thanks for video. Best regards. Phil - Suffolk, U.K.
If you can find a Old Heavy Beam and Put it on top of the blade... it will bite in better to get down further to the base of the drive.
We have dodged the bullet here in Southern Oregon, at least for now. Portland and Salem, not so much. That water situation is very concerning, I’m sure. You’ll figure it out. Thanks for all your efforts to feed our need to see you guys! Be safe! 👍🐾🌲🥶
Hey good morning how are you guys doing today so it's a cold out there huh little wet huh I'm glad you guys are doing a lot better we need to get that water thing kind of put back together somehow but that's a lot of work you guys but I guess have a great day
Always look forward to your videos! Your house is looking so good.
Thank you so much!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏thank you,please stay warm.
30:24 That looks like some type of hybrid boar. You really need to get your hunting licenses!!! I know Canadian gun laws are really strict, but it's not impossible to get a long gun for hunting purposes. Stay safe (and warm)!
We appreciate the effort you both put into producing these wonderful episodes. The water must be a real worry. Is it possible to have larger tanks buried underground and water delivered by tanker to cover the times when the creeks freeze and you’re unable to pump due to ice? Your tenacity especially in such adverse conditions is awe-inspiring. BTW - Is anyone taking bets on wether unexpected kids provide the content for a future episode? All the very best wishes from North Yorkshire, England.
Not to shabby, considering the weather conditions. Y’all,& the animals rock!! Stay safe, healthy, warm, happy, productive,& blessed.💯🫶🏾💕💜✝️🙏🏾🇺🇸
And also make sure you put it somewhere where the melt and keep adding snow
You need a quick connect for the tractor in front then all your tools to connect it's a breeze 😊😊
stack 3 pallets put some weight on pallets place a wide board in front of the pallets pull the pallets around until snow is drivable. 20 degrees dry in Georgetown Texas
59 F in sunny Glendale Arizona which is why I live here. But I love looking at the snow in your videos
It was like 58 today in florida. Next project should be a big barn to keep all the big equipment and cars in. I love your new puppy and I eagerly await your next post.
Brrr.20 degrees F evenings 40 degrees F daytime. I grew up in northern Maine though and I remember it getting down to -40 Degrees F for a week or so at a time. Most times -20's to -30's. I know what you are feeling, and it isn't fun. Stay warm.
I live in New Orleans- it’s 73 f degrees here. But projected to get cold!
Just loved that opening, what a lovely song. You are such a wonderful couple these videos make me so happy. So much hard work and you both have the nicest smiles. Maybe different behind the camera, like most couples, but that song says not!
Find a reputable Witcher. If they are good they can find water to so you can drill a well. They can probably tell you approximately how deep the water is so you have an idea of the depth of the well should be. Don't laugh because it does work. I've done it before and my uncle was called by a lot because he was good.
Get a large diameter pipe (2-4ft. Some 12-15ft drive it into the ground where the spring is. Remove debris. Make an insulated outbuilding over top the spring. Run solar on the roof a small battery bank and an RV style diaphragm pump with built in pressure switch. It will help lots! You could also use a pressure tank to store some water.
Why aren’t you allowed to open that road?? Good work
you need to balance danger versus productivity !!!
Hi guys here in Saskatchewan south it hit 50.3 below zero Fahrenheit 2 times this week
AT Noon on 1/14 it is -4 with a feel like -20. I am in Kansas City, Kansas.
I love your team work. It got down to -27 with the windchill for me. But better then my sister in the Yukon where it has been -43 with the windchill
I just so enjoying to watch your channel weekly , just love your pets , goats are cutie ,please keeps your new puppy inside with this cold below 30 , and cougar 😮around .
Great video once again 👏
Hopefully water starts flowing again soon for you guy's and no damage.. Enjoyed the critters on cam. You got this!
Be safe and see you soon ❤
