I had this car in Germany with the Diesel engine. Absolutely gorgeous drive, endless power but very economic. Unfortunately not available in Malaysia. And the Arteon is a very comfortable car for all purposes, family, normal work drive, sport drive....
Agreed, the Arteon is a major hallmark product for Volkswagen. I've driven the Arteon R shooting brake back when I was in Germany and it was an absolutely phenomenal work of a German machine. I'll definitely be giving this one ( Arteon R Line 4 Motion ) a go once the MCO is lifted. Been looking for a fun and more practical daily driver after considering on making my F30 335i a weekend car as it downs fuel *paired with my nature of driving* like a parched camel in the desert.

I owned the CBU 4motion that being sold previously here.. U could say jt is a best buy i had but this facelift is much better. Lucky for those who buy this with all the equipments available.

Got the chance to test drive while waiting for my Tiguan servicing today.... damn it was veerryy nice to drive, plenty of power, great handling & still comfortable even in sport mode, & yess sport mode will get you addicted mannnn...... regarding lane assist it's true very intrusive especially when you drive fast, hate it!!
I can tell that this is a good car by looking at uncle's smile thoughout the drive.

I read this car if doing stage 1 with additional RM2K to flash the ECM/ECU will get about 360 to 380hp. Crazy, that is more than Civic type R can offer with price at RM300k+. It is a bargain for performance.

I have the MK7.5 Gti but now the 4 motion Arteon seems like a worthy upgrade.
Already buy the arteon 2021 it worth because the car got full spec r-line 4 motion highest top speed arteon 2021 that i buy is 252 but can go more :]

While everyone focused on the car, I am surprised that while we are now technically still MCO, the LDP is still congested. Made me wonder if I am the only one that stayed at home..

Hi sir! Just would like to recommend something to probably improve the quality of hill climb videos or any driving videos. Maybe try a head mounted camera or something that can record with a POV? It would be awesome to see your POV when you're doing a hill climb!
POV will have too mich movement, because when driving at speed I am looking at lots of things. You will get a headache.

Nice drive, Mr Khong! I know in terms of comfort and handling (don't mention the price and HP), this will beat the G20 330i MSport anytime. However, wouldn't the G20 330i (being RWD and smaller) be more nimble and fun to drive than this?
No contest. The Arteon is superior in power, and handling. The AWD puts it way above the 330i.

The performance os a bit better than the A5 SB, because it has more horsepower. Both are AWD, and both the systems come from the same company.
The Arteon is CKD, while the A5 is fully imported, so it costs a lot more. Take your pick.

Hi Uncle Khong, love your video! How would you compare this car to Mazda 6? perhaps the 2.5 or 2.2D which has tremendous torque too. In terms of handling and driving fun. Another one is s90, how does the driving experience defers? Thank you in advanced Uncle ^^

Based on your experience with VW, how do you find the overall reliability? Any issues with after-sales service and spare parts?
At the moment, we have 4 VW in the family here in PJ, between 6 to 11 years old, and another 2 in OZ, which makes a total of 6 VW. All the cars are running well, and the Golf R has been of numerous high speed trips and also been on many Genting climbs. I have not had any issues with service or spare parts.

Most probably same.
This car is pretty under the radar. Most people just go for the basic Audi A4. In the end badge wins.
If you know cars you will know the tech source, and go for the car. Here, the A5 quattro is the equivalent, but has less power, and costs a lot more.
The Arteon is definitely a beautiful and rarely seen car. What is the expected problems based on Golf R which you have?
In the 6 years of driving the R, the only part ever replaced was the water pump.
There are a few white Arteons in Kajang area.. what a beauty.

We have a total of 6 vw in the family. Oldest is 11 years old. All running perfectly, trouble- free.
I have a 2021 4 motion r line and I absolutely love it. It's been a year with 0 problems and I have a stage 1 tune.

No problems so far, after 6 years. Only thing we replaced was the water pump.
I think if the Volkswagen Arteon R come to Malaysia somehow next year or two, it will be way more expensive than this RM 250k Arteon R-Line.

I bought the ARTEON R LINE 4MOTION. I am going back to China for 5 months. How can I deal with the battery loss when I don’t drive for 5 months. Some people say to remove the negative pole, and some say to remove the negative pole of the battery first and then the positive pole of the battery. Excuse me. Which one is correct.

I would recommend 97 if you are running a turbo that you want to push - that is my own opinion.
Fuel consumption is claimed at 7.4 l/100km.

Wrong question. This blue is exactly the same as mu Golf R. I am a sucker for blue, so I cannot help you.
But the white looks good too. You can see that colour in one of the clips.

It's got AWD. Of course it handles better than the 530i.

TBH, the 340i is faster, but you can buy a CX5 with the extra change.

Well, it has paddle shifters, and the 4Motion is better than having an electric motor drive the rear wheels.
How is the comfort level compared to BMW 330i uncle YS? ;)
There are 4 driving modes, and a fifth one for you to customize your ride. I will outhandle, and outdrive the 330i any day, and under any condition. And it costs less than the 330i.

Are you mentioning comfort of 330i? The M sport passive suspension is really stiff and nothing related to comfort at all. Arteon comes with DCC adaptive suspension which allow to adjust the stiffness of the suspension.
@@aeroline11 Surprising to me is the yesterday WapCar short review. Adrian said even at the most stiffest suspension setting, the Arteon feels sublime even when go on undulation. Looks like VW has done improvement to the suspension system in the facelift. The pre-facelift, some reviewers did mention it was stiffer and in normal mode a bit bumpy. Kudos to VW for the refinement in the facelift. Comfort + Sporty. What a combo

The GLA has more power, and drives just as well. A little more expensive, and it is B segment, very small. Depends on your needs. This is a big sedan, the other is a hatchback. The boot is big enough to carry a truckload of durians.

It looks like a reliable and good car.But at this price point, bmw and merz are around there and proven more reliable, however,their power is much lesser than arteon.Uncle,how is the interior quality???.I test drove passat before and quality is between cx5 and honda civic.
Lol is the quality that bad? I did test drive it though. Quality better than Accord. Equivalent to Camry. Arteon??? Since it's one class higher than Passat, it should be equivalent or better than C Class and 3 series

The Arteon is on a higher level than the Passat. Anyway, if you want the car, you should go have a look. But better don't test drive - because after that you cannot let go of it.
