It's nice, but I think the Arteon R should have the 2.5 turbo 5-cylinder engine. I love the sound of that engine.
vw just refuses to use it (maybe audi refuse to releasae it, but they did for seat so idk man)
@@4w0ken Audi refuse to release it, they gave Cupra only 7,500 Engines for the Cupra Formentor VZ5. You cannot order the VZ5 anymore sadly.
@@4w0ken VW Wolfsburg wanted the 2.5 in the Golf 8R but Audi refused it. And Wolfsburg forbid the announced VR6 in the Arteon R. Nothing should be more powerful than the Golf R.
@@Enno246Not entirely true. Volkswagen owns Audi and I’m sure if the people at the top wanted to have an 2.5L in the golf R they could have made it happen no doubt. Stop being so naive “Audi doesn’t allow it”…

5 cylinder from RS3 would be enough
The concept had a vr6 turbo but the emissions would not let vw do that

u can tune this engine to 420-450 HP soo basicaly a V6 ;)
It needs more cylinders for more emotions and premium feel.

My mom was the first person in the eastern time zone to own an arteon, and it was the nicest car iv ever been in. She traded it for a bmw 530e with the m package, and i still stand by my point.
This car to me at least has a cool and funky look about it.
i know this isnt the fastest car and that it is quite expensive for what it is but god damn do i love this thing. especially the shooting brake version

And it got now quite a ok sound and on the track it handles really well
But I would have loved a VR6 or the Inline 5
u can tune it like 420-450 HP this engine. soo basicaly a V6 ;)

I live in Berlin and the car is a bit to big for a city
On the other hand the looks of the arteon r in black are mostly unmatched for me

Oiltemp at 118 degrees is quite high at 8 degree outside temp.
Personally l think the Arteon is an underrated good looking car and interior spec (even still look like a premium Passat l still take it) but the engine spec is sadly disappointing no 3.0 TDI or V6 tfsi/VR6 available they could’ve get so many clients but Yh kinda peak… still hopefully l’ll get mine in the future

Does this also play the artificial engine/exhaust sound through the car's speakers or something alike?
Only in Race, in Individual you can also set the engine sound to Pure, then it doesn't pump any sound inside
The Video is filmed in Race Mode, with the artificial Sound. I normally turn it off, the Pops stay, the outside Sound is the Same

Good looking car, but in the end it's just a Passat. VW should have gone for the opportunity to build the Arteon on the "new" A4/A6 platform (MLB evo).
Pretty good... but it just sounds wrong... 5er or 6er is what my ears desire for this.
1 one the reasons why the Volkswagen arteon's prices fell. Its a 4 cylinder. Also Audi A7 exists.

This has slower acceleration and lower top speed than the Arteon R shooting brake you tested 2 years ago.

VW has gotten so boring, every R has the same brakes, same engine, even the same wheels as the Golf R. The Tiguan even looks the same. What happened to the days of the R32, R36, R50, W8. Just a bunch of cookie cutter cars now.
Your options now are Golf R, slower lifted Golf R, or slower longer Golf R. Or just get a base model that looks the same with “R-Line”
