Intros just in general used to be a much bigger deal .It's one of the reasons I feel TV feels so declined. Think of some of some of the most memorable shows from that era. You can already hear the themes in your head, huh? Thundercats, Cheers, Family Matters, He Man, GI Joe, Golden Girls...it all just clicks. Hell, people could tell the time by a theme coming on in the background! It's a shame what we've seemingly let slip away.
This brought me to happy tears. Memories of my grandma and grandpas house after school. Hanging out with them till my parents got off work at 5. But I’m hoping I’m helping to create similar memories for my son😄

I'd love to go back to 2003-04 around when I was a 6th grader and got Jetix on cable , I'd watch heathcliff, eek the cat, what's with Andy, roboroach, tutenstein, the tick, all the marvel animated shows, diabolik, nascar racers, Walter melon, wunspunch, kids from room 402, inspector gadget and the gadget teenies, spy dogs ,bad dog, dungeons & dragons, sonic X, shaman king, life with Louie and bobby's world I'm sure there's a few more I missed but these are the ones I remember watching on fox kids/Jetix after that the channel wasn't available anymore for me and I got Disney and boomerang instead and later on cartoon network, those were the times ❤️
The two Heathcliff cartoons were before my time and too obscure for me to have seen them on TV, but man, Shuki Levy's theme for Heathcliff and the Cadillac Cats makes me want to watch the series.
This brings back some great memories. My parents didn't have cable till I was 12 so sometimes on the Weekend I used to go stay over at my grandparents. I miss those innocent days of playing with hot wheels cars and watching the cartoons during the day He man in the morning and this in the afternoon. Sadly my grandparents passed away my grandfather in 1999 and my Grandma in 2012 but the wonderful memories of them and how much they loved me keep them alive in my heart.
I always imagine Heathcliff as strong and mischievous, where I just imagine Garfield as lazy to a point of damn near unbearable. *Heathcliff for the Win!!*
I love the comic strip and so I bought a DVD collection of "The Best of Heathcliff." I didn't know that there was a Heathcliff show, let alone having Mel Blanc star in it. This theme song is now stuck in my head (thanks Noam Kaniel) but I love it!
Loved this show as a kid. I used to rush back home after school to watch it everyday along with voltron, thundercats, J.I. Joe and He-Man. Good times. So glad I grew up in the 80’s! I feel privileged. Kids today will never understand how that feels. I’d trade all the high tech stuff of today to re love the 80’s and be a kid again
Heathcliff and the Catillac Cats ran in syndication until about 1988, when it moved to cable for reruns, first on Nickelodeon. My earliest memory watching it on Nick, then on The Family Channel when they also aired it Inspector Gadget, and again when it aired on Fox Family Channel later in the 1990's. Last time I watched the series was aired on weekdays on Starz Encore Family (as of 2016).
This was one of my favorite cartoons because i would get laughs outof the conflict between Heathcliff and Spike. Then when the Junk yard was shown i always liked what Riff Raff, Hector, Wordsworth, and Mongo would get into. Specially when they would use that old Cadillac car and it converted into a motorhome or motorboat.
When I first saw this, I told my dad the name, and he - typical German - said just something like "Hieffcleff?" or something. That's what I remembered, and that's how I found this video. 20-year old memories..
Every weekday at 3 ,ch 20 , Houston Tx after school. Had to watch all cartoons I could before dad got home and took over the tv😂. Enjoyed my childhood, miss you dad.

I know we all loved Garfield, but I'm sorry Heatcliff will always be the first original orange cat that got into trouble to me.
Garfield could be a real downer sometimes because of his negativity. Heathcliff had better energy. 🤩
This is really an amazing intro the guys who use to sing these 80s and 90s cartoon themes used to put there heart and soul into them 😂

Try the french version. It's called ''les entrechats''. In my own humble opinion, I think it's better. But great song anyway!
