This was the final product of our collaborative animation class this quarter. The concept has evolved a lot since our first pitch meeting, and everyone is very happy with the story we built together!

Ooooh man, I remember being really confused on why the eyeshadow pot had a name tag on it with a kiss on it and thought at the time that it was somehow the wolf's name but ooooh man the foreshadowing...with eyeshadow come to think of it lol.

It was way too similar to Morticia Addams’ makeup scene where she used the ashes of her dead parents as makeup for me not to notice.😅 Plus, no one labels eye shadow or puts it in an urn like that.

This was great with all its details and now can confirm the meaning of " a wolf in sheep clothing" in this now, lol. The pie kinda looked under cooked, but over all loved it.

The sheep lady's taste for the Wolf's attraction makes her hungry like a wolf than the Wolf would ever be. The dramatic irony of his demise is just as easy as pie.

Wasn't expecting the sheep to be a serial killer baker, but at least she's got a unique gimmick. Kinda takes "wolf in sheeps clothing" to a whole new level.
Lots of people assume women can’t be bad people when there are female serial killers!
Also it’s giving Sweeney Todd with the lady baking people into pies!

As soon as I saw the missing posters and the sheep baking a pie. I knew the wolf was done for.
True. I didn’t figure from the missing posters, but I saw from the page on meat pie and when she pulled out the saw that things wouldn’t turn out well for the wolf.
The “Little too fruity for my taste” KILLED ME
I like how the twist at the end makes you realize who the real monster is while making you think the prey was the monster

I loved the foreshadowing, and the chracterization despite none of them talking
The whole time, while the music was all too happy to try lulling me into a false sense of security, as details kept adding up, the question I kept asking until the end was “who’s gonna die”
That, is how you made a slient animated film which has effects on the viewers. Take notes, new film-makers!
True. The foreshadowing details are nice. I wasn’t sure about what was going to happen on their date, but I eventually figured out from her turning the page on the Meat Pie and the moment she pulled out the saw.
I had a feeling things were gonna go south as soon as I realized she had a missing person's picture on her wall. This was a great animation! Amazing work!
Ough I could see all the details in the background (photos of people, mounted heads, funeral home flowers, etc.) and was really wondering who was gonna end up eating who in the end. Really loved the art and animation style, felt so soft and smooth
Oh! I saw a interesting detail at the near end, when the sheep lets the wolf in her house, and you can see her smile was actually fake, it was so good that I was almost-caught off guard when I see it, it's obvious she disliked the wolf, since of his jerk personality, and his best to impress her, I assume; of his attention on her, since she's pretty, and a heart-stopper, too(get it?). It's a double-act, most likely.
Another cool fact, the flowers he had bought are lilies! Lilies usually mean innocence and purity, but can also mean grief and mourning. I thought that was a cool detail!

Yes! I missed the urn on my first watch, but as soon as I heard those menacing stacatto cords at 0:30 I knew exactly where third wad going. Great music cueing!

Lovely details for foreshadowing. The urn of eyeshadow powder labeled 'Leo' just before she caresses his portrait, the duct tape and rope on the kitchen countertop, the spider lily on the side table beside the front door, and the still-empty pie crust at the end of the cooking montage.
One thing that I love about this is that in actuality there's technically no true "herbivore" and that, given the opportunity, "herbivores" eat meat and vice versa for carnivores. Albeit rarely as far as I know, so I like this kind of twist!
Interestingly, plants are much harder to digest than meat. A lot of carnivores can digest some plant matter if they can’t find meat, but basically all herbivores can eat flesh if they want to.
There’s an outbreak of chronic wasting disease in American deer right now, and it is suspected that opportunistic cannibalism may be the root cause.
The illness can also be spread through ingestion of waste products, but cannibalism is a sure fire way to get infected and the epidemic is huge.

Honestly thought she was the one in danger, until I noticed she’s got even more pictures on her walls than the wolf did. Her pulling out a saw as a cooking utensil just cemented it for me. 😂

I can imagine that she tried to relax with him at first. flirting, small talk, etc. then she said something about putting the pie in the oven and got him a drink while he was waiting. She probably drugged him so he wouldn't scream later. After the drug took effect, she tied him up and started to cut him up alive.He was too drugged to scream for help. She probably went for a vital organ first anyway. Then by the time it was night, she had her pie.
Details i noticed:
1. Wolf has a lot of pin-up girls on his walls, mostly sheep it would seem.
2. Sheep has polaroids of her and wolf on her vanity, this is likely their first date at her house. The wolf probably expects to score.
3. Sheep used Leo the lion's ashes as eyeshadow.
4. The photos of people in Sheep's hallway are later seen in missing persons posters.
5. The rope and tape next to meat pie ingredients.
6. End credits imply that Sheep kills and eats her guests. Before taking a "trophy" for her room. (Photo, skin, head, etc.)
i love the detail that you can hear the subtle change in the music only on the sheep's part, for example at 0:29 and 1:01. It's innocent enough, but it really puts you on edge and makes you think that something is not right here
What a dark twist, it's like beastars but darker. So she's an serial killer and an cannibal and the book at the end showed the victims which were a lot. The worst part is that no one will find the truth

Pretty sure she had them on a party at the end of the credits and (I like to assume) poisoned all of em and have a giant buffet to herself.
Damn, you guys really went with the idea of "wolf in sheep's clothing" to an interestin direction!!! I honestly love how it was done. By showing the contrast between the wold and sheep's personalities trying to make it seem like the wolf was gonna kill the sheep. Especially with the hints of things like missing posters throughout the short. But then the ending... well damn, it subverted this all well. And then the animation and art direction just adds onto it!!! Overall, this is a really simple, but great short film!!!

i was already really loving the attention to detail in this but i adored the detail of the contrasting kinds of flowers that the sheep is given compared to the one she has herself in the next shot. While they both represent death, the contrasting connotation of both flowers really showed how much effort was in this. great animation !
This was...not what I expected. The animation made me think it was gonna be a normal romantic encounter. That sheep is a literal maneater.
I remember a time there was a documentary about an evasive bird species that was slowly declining and the reporters just found out that a herd of sheep came across each day to eat the chicks.
Ahh Nature is a wonderful thing.

This took a dark turn fast 😦 love all the backround details like the missing posters, Leo's ashes as eyeshadow, and even the fact that she drank the wolf's blood (i assume that's what she was drinking). Nice job!

The wolf was rude enough to have his death be justified.
And no to mention the two missing posters are sheep girls showing that he’s probably killed the two and eaten them and targeted our protagonist next to be on his menu.(since he is a wolf) I could be wrong, but hey! Attention to detail is an icing on the cake!
This might be me stretching it but what if those two sheep girls were people she knew or her little sisters?
She has pictures of girls too in her house so she could totally have been responsible for their disappearence too

0:32 Honestly, as soon as I saw the pictures with the lion including the transition, I Knew exactly where this short was going.
I wondered why she's making baking preparations with makeup on. It made more sense by the end.
This just gave me an idea for a short story, the wolf is immortal and gets off from being eaten and figured out that the sheep is a cannibal/predator, he plays along with the sheeps game until the point he gets drugged, he pretends to be knocked out and than while she is carving his chest he "wakes" asking her "So, whats your favourite organ?" Scaring the soul out off her cause at this point she has cut open his chest exposed his organs.
So you mean he's like deadpool?

@@Knux5577 Yeah, something like that but less due to genetics and more due to being cursed.
His family did something horrible to a witch and she killed his family but he wasn't part of it being exiled and excommunicated for something and he was the only one she didn't get, she figured she would make him feel her pain by cursing him to live forever, not knowing he has no love for his family, from his perspective he just became immortal out of nowhere.
i like the contrasting colors. also the ashes as eyeshadow? whole new meaning to smokey eye

okay is no one gonna mention how creative the credits sequence is? Like you didn't have to go that far but you did! Freakin' awesome.
I always love a wolf in sheep's clothing idea, and this one was executed flawlessly! The character designs, the backgrounds, the sound design, and the reveal was all amazing! Also I love that a vulture/buzzard was the taxi driver, since they're really good at finding dead meat, having him deliver the wolf to the doorstep of a killer was such a great detail!
The foreshadowing!! I didn’t notice until the second time watching it that there’s a subtle hint of the iconic ‘Psycho’ music while she’s grazing Leo’s photo!
Also the vulture and her using the lion's ashes as eyeshadow!
I knew exactly what was going on when I saw the photos in the sheep's house and the meat lovers pie. Also can we talk about the cool fact that the recipes in the book are the credits and the people who made it. I just thing that is very cool

Honestly this is one of the best animated short films I've seen. Everything from the animation, to the music, and the story itself was amazing (especially the ending because damn that was dark lmao). Kudos to everyone who worked on this, ya'll should be proud!

Oh this. This is beautiful! The fact that the ship is a predator, the hints about what happened to her previous victims, the music emphasizing what's happening on screen! And the animation is so fluid and pretty too!

I think a female sheep/goat being in love with a wolf is kinda sexy. Fable story have always had wolves and sheep and goats as enemies, but I think it's cool for a wolf and a sheep to be in love. Well until the end of the video.
I love the detail that the wolf the whole time kinda acted like a character that would have death flags all around him in a horror movie. A large amount of horror/slasher movies have moralistic tropes where jerk characters (or, in this wolf's case, mildly rude characters) become easy horror fodder for a slasher villain/serial killer.
This short also kinda gives me Hannibal Lecter vibes too (especially the TV show version), and a little bit of Fried Green Tomatoes! ^^
Ooh that ash eyeshadow idea is nearly identical to the one Morticia had from the first animated Addams Family movie that was made years ago. Inspired perhaps?

I love the decision to have the driver as a vulture who's sad...they're scavengers of corpses, but this time, he won't be getting any meals, because the sheep will be keeping the spoils to herself.

I loved all the unsettling details! Whilst knowing you, I did expect it, I also saw may details like the earrings that look like blood drops, the posters matching the portraits, the white calla lilies (which I think are ironic because they represent purity, which means into a lambs nature.), the deer head on the wall, the vulture driver (a sign of death), a well as the rope and duct tape in the kitchen! I also noticed the spider lily, which is commonly associated with death! There was also a bear rug by the fire, which a nice add-in. Overall, great job!!
I’m starting to think that the ‘lipstick’ she used and ‘wine’ she drank is BLOOD. At the start, while the two were getting ready for the date, (besides the ashes) the Sheep used a brush for the lipstick, and not a lipstick tube, indicating that it could probably be blood. And the wine was an unusual deep red.
This kinda reminds me of Mo Williams’ book ‘That Is Not a Good Idea!’ Which means I love it.

(For people who don’t know- one of the symbolisms of the peace lilies is death, and remembrance. Which is one of the reasons it’s popular with funerals)
