- The first and only U.S. video single released by the band through 5 Minute Walk records. The video was shot all over Scotland and gave the band the chance to show just how beautiful the country is, whilst at the same time doing their usual .. having a laugh.

I am 18 and found this band by listening to a burned CD a youth pastor had made for me when I was 10 LOL!!!!!!!!! I never listened to the CD when I was young because I thought it was boring, now today I listened to it for nostalgic reasons and I realized it has a lot of awesome music on it!!
Was at a yard sale today, and saw a potholder bearing the slogan "May you get to heaven half an hour before the devil knows your dead." Just had to find this song and listen again. Great stuff!
Feeling old again ... when people say they have grown up listening to your music .. it kinda brings it home .. we're ancient hahahaha
Found a bag full of old Electrics videos from waaaaaaay back. Will try to get them up soon.
lmao, I loved the shit out of the Electrics, and Living it up when I Die, when I was a kid. I never realized that the Electrics was a Christian band tho,
@@patriconway yeah, Sammy Horner is an ordained minister ( yeah we still raise eyebrows at that too) and wrote all the songs. The band started on the christian scene, but quickly moved to playing in pubs, clubs and on the festival circuit, particularly around Europe. Glad you loved our stuff ;)
Oh I love The Electrics! This is one of their best!

Why isn't your music on Spotify?
I'm from Oregon. I use to listen to this song non stop when I was a teenager. Hope y'all are doing well and thank you for the music!
one of the greatest albums and bands of my 90's christian collection. There was a song "raggle taggle gypsy" amazing version, and another "Have a pint on me" Lost the CD and miss it everyday
I remember growing up listening to this. Love the instrumentation.
Had a chance to meet a couple of the guys when I was a young, awkward teen and they were visiting John Smith while he was studying in the States. Wish I had the chance to sit down with them again because they were so gracious and kind at such an awkward meeting! Great to hear this tune again... All the best!
Love The Electrics. I have two of their CD's and they are always in my music rotation. After all these years, they still sound fresh. Keep on rockin'.
The Electrics are still around, with the original four member form too.
Chances of an American tour are slim since Horner spends most of his time on tour making a living playing solo stuff. You never know though .... stranger things have happened in the past.
Will try and find some other videos of years gone by to put up here !
still a great song, thanks to all electics from germany
When I was a senior in high school we had a class trip and some friends and I woke up the entire house to this song at 2 am.
i finally found this one again as well in my search for old songs that i used to hear on this cutting edge rock station that is no longer operating but had a ton of different christian rock groups, both major label and indie bands and this was one of the songs they had on it
Wow. I haven't seen this video in a long time. I use to see it all the time when Z Music Television existed. I miss that station.
I MISS THESE BHOYS!!!!!!!
This whole album is a treat. My brother came upon it from who knows when, but I used to listen to it all the time growing up.
YES!!! Thank you for uploading this!
I met Sam in around 1998 at St Silas church in the west end of Glasgow. he was meeting someone there if I recall, and I was a bit starstruck. Always have and always will loved The Electrics!
I love you guys, every once in a while I get out my CD and blare it on repeat for an hour or two lol
I still have the VHS copy of the seltzer2 compilation that had this video on it! Took me forever to find it on here!
YAAAY! I first saw this on a VHS tape I got from a book store back in 2000. I loved the song but hadn't really been able to find the album so kinda forgot about it. 18 years later, there's a country song with a similar lyric and reminds me of this. Just out of curiosity I scour CZcams and BOING! Here ya are!
You just made my day! I love this song, and couldn't find it anywhere...until today! Thank you!
I saw the Electrics in Atlanta, 1998. They were quite a treat
I saw them in Atlanta in 98..a fun group to see, and all around nice guys.
Hi all, well i'm glad I managed to brighten up some peoples search of CZcams. I hung this video a year or so ago with the hope that some folk may remember it.
Just to let the world know, the original four members of the band played their 21st Birthday gig in November 2009. There may be some video available from that show .. so watch this space .....
Just LOVE these guys!! Wish they would tour NZ!!
I saw them both yesterday and the day before yesterday at CRN!!!
AWESOME!!!
I love these guys!!!
Hello there ... Sam Horner and I were the very men who came to see John in the States, in lovely WIlmore Kentucky I believe. Sadly I doubt very much The Electrics as a band will be back in the States, but you might catch Sam on the road still as he lives in Canada now, and tours in the States a fair bit.
Hope life is treating you well.
All the best :)
David McArthur Hello David. How is Lewis?
@@blairmckie6096 Hey.. sorry for the delay, yeah Lewis is doing great, getting way too big too fast these days. :)
Still loving this one! :)
Hey David! Cast your mind back to the early 90s Spring Harvest in Ayr, me and my mate Andy from Lancaster met you guys. We were doing the video work for the youth section. Very happy memories of some late night rocking!
Hi Mark, yeah remember those days very well ...working with you and Andy on the Pool video to 'Should I stay or should I go" was brilliant. Do you still see. Andy ?
@@AVBhoy not seen him for a while but keep in touch via FB. Are you guys on a permanent hiatus now?
@katie777burt - heheheh .. I don't know if I can claim any kind of responsibility for having any part of your confirmation of Jesus loving you .. but I am glad to have brightened up your day by putting the song online.
Happy viewing
Yasssssss 👌🙏 : )
I really I could buy this song off iTunes! It's always been a favorite of mine :)

@scottishbeagle
Hi there, well meeting Mr Horner anywhere in Scotland now will be almost impossible as he now works with young people in a church in Canada.
As for being starstruck on meeting the Wee Hobbit .. hahah, this will make his day !
Thanks for all your support over the years, and please check back from time to time as I wil put some more materials up eventually.
Cheers !!!!!
@MouthOfTheUnknown Hi there .. well I'm glad you eventually joined the fold, and appreciated the fun that was the sound of The Electrics.
Sadly the band are now pretty much retired, with Sam Horner now in Canada permanently and the rest of us in Scotland. We hope you keep enjoying the old albums though .. and I will try to put together some video stuff with some of the better known songs from years gone by onto here as soon as I can.
tú carraig!! Where in Canada does Horner call home?
near Toronto i believe mate
@rissy8428 LOUDER !!!!!! heheh .. I don't think there is an issue with the volume on the stream rissy .... both my PC and Mac play the sound fine ! Sadly I don't have the original file of it any more so can't re-upload either. Sorry !
I love this song! Is there any way to get a version that's a little louder on here?
Never say never ... we haven't officially retired as such, so you never know .. we might end up playing shows in the future !
Till then, I'm afraid it will have to be CZcams videos to keep you going.
Take care,
The Electrics
@7head7metal7 - You probably saw the last two shows the band will ever play together ... unless some kind of miraculous get together happens in the future ! Take care !
:D haha thats so funny
The Electrics need to make a comeback and introduce Jesus back into the mainstream music scene.
Hehehehe I bet you were popular ! Glad you enjoyed the music and shared it with the whole house !
