  • In this video, I review the iZotope Music Production Suite Plugins. I evaluate what’s good and what is missing from this plugin bundle. The usefulness, as an audio mixing tool for these plugins is evaluated to find the strengths and weaknesses of this plugin bundle and whether or not it is a good value for the consumer, especially when faced with competition from several professional audio plugin companies.
The devices evaluated include: iZotope Neutron, iZotope Nectar, iZotope Neoverb, including the modules of the EQ, Gate, Transient Shaper, Exciter, Shaper, Compressor. This includes vintage modes as well as multiband settings for each of these modules.
My criteria for evaluating each subscription bundle are as follows:
What are the strengths of these bundled plugins?
What are the weaknesses, what’s missing or needs to be supplemented to be a complete solution?
Who is the target audience for this subscription?
Can an entire song be mixed using only this Bundle?
Do I think that it’s a good value?
So Who do I think is the Target Audience for this Subscription?
This plugin bundle is designed for the serious audio engineer or music producer. It actually sounds like you are mixing on an analog recording console.
Can an Entire Song Be Mixed with this Bundle?
Absolutely. This plugin bundle comes with pretty much everything you could possibly ask for.
Do I think this Subscription Bundle is a good value?
This pricing seems to be on par with other plugin companies. Since the price was reduced for the Music Production Suite, it is an excellent value.
Hopefully you’ve found this information helpful. Stay tuned for more audio subscription bundle reviews. I’ll try to post a new one every week, so if you know of one you want me to get to, leave a comment below, or just let me know what your thoughts are.

Well done. Smart idea. In an informal survey on Reddit, most musicians and producers seem to still prefer individually different compressors, EQs, gates, limiters, etc. The idea of using all the features and apps included in the Music Production Suite from Izotope is not popular. I’m not sure why. I own it, but have a lot to learn.

Thanks for the good review. Subscribed. With all the big sales going on, I've been tempted to jump into the Ozone ecosystem. This was a good insight here. And confirmed my decision. I think Ozone is great for bedroom producers looking for a quick mix. But IMHO, it's too much of a nanny and over-extends itself. I have plugins that I just don't see Ozone ever matching. (Sonnox Inflator, Pulsar Mu, Fab Filter, etc). At the end of the day, I feel this A.I. approach isn't conducive to deep learning. I'll keep pulling my hair the old fashioned way until I get it right. Looking forward to more reviews.

i've been struggling with mixing as an beginner-intermediate in mixing and i had to make a commitment to high quality plugins that would do alot of the work for me and i struck not gold... but diamonds with this neutron 4... wow this is a perfect plugin.. all it would need to be an all in one.. is reverb and delay, however we all have specific plugins for those. Everything else you can do with neutron.. besides automation of course but that would be your DAW or Shaperbox 3 type plugins.

Why didn't you use nectar or neutron on an audio track of this video? There are so many plugins under subscription that can make a crappy microphone to sound as preem.
