Adam Fowler I know what you mean, from the first time I saw it, I love this scene! Peters Cushing acting is incredible, his expression when he feels somethings creeping up behind him.
This could've been really cool to have Christopher Lee as Father Dracula and this young Baron as his son -- I am just not used to seeing Peter Cushing without Christopher Lee co-starring with him... anyone with me on this?
@totshirts I was totally thinking the same thing! I mean, first off, she barely knows the guy, and yet she frees him. Granted she may not realize how evil he is, but you'd think she'd figure out he's shady.
Does anyone not notice some of the wide angle shots used to great effect in this film??__Not normally used in a film of this type, normally , sort of tight angle and claustraphobic!!! When the young girl goes up the stairs to her room in the castle.--and when Van Helsing makes chase of the baron!!!!!Good cinematography!!!
The Baron had 2 chances to kick Van Helsing's ass here: when the Baron pops him with the candle holder and tips the table over on him... but instead, he chose to run -- had I been the vampire here, Van Helsing would be too much of a threat and I would keep after him at every chance I got!
Yeah it's hilarious. Then the Baron says something about how nice a place he maintains on such a low rent. Get ready to see your rent jacked up after that "young jackass" comment!
Wait a second! Wait a second! After the first night at the castle Meinster doesn't Mme Danielle realize that the baron is bad news? But that just goes to show you girls love to fall in love with the bad boys. Even the creeps. Tsk tsk. Ha ha ha.
"Only God has no fear." That was such a great line.

THIS WAS ANOTHER FINE ACTOR THAT DID A GREAT ROLE OF PLAYING COUNT DRACULA.
The Castle was wonderful. Release was completed
Fall in love with a vampire-burn the toast. Happens every time.
I believe the main vampire is David Peel, who had earlier directed the Horror of Dracula in 1958 with Christopher Lee.
i like how active cushing is. running about all the time. etc.
If Emma Watson has the cutest British accent I’ve ever heard, then Yvonne Monlaur has the cutest French accent I have ever heard.
Peter Cushing, The Best.
I like this. The suspense is ruined by corniness now and then, but I like it.
"I am no tenant of yours, you young jackass LOL!!
Thank You for the update!
Esa película me fascina gracias por poner la es una joya clasica
cushing also plays a good dracula himself!
Dracula's priceless expression when he saw the cross🤣👍 0:46
Your know this is not, Dracula. Right???
@Peryscapyne: I agree so much with you!!!

@idraote The Baron reminds me of Ted Bundy first he was an intelligent man and very handsome then he became bloodthirsty killer.
A lot can happen in 10 minutes ;)
They were only alone for two minutes. How the hell did they manage a marriage proposal and and acceptance that quickly?!?
that is david peel but Terence Fisher directed Horror of dracula.
how many times has cushing been hit by that huge table...

what happened to the young baron? he looked so handsome at the beginning...
@idraote He's become a vampire that's what happened

Only a small critisism. What happened to the part where Baron Meinster enters the room and bited Gina? But that aside, still an excellent film.

Unfortunately it is what Ebert would call an idiot plot, at least as far as she's concerned.
christopher lee played sarumon in the new lord of the rings? he died no?
someone died from lotr, who was it?
what happen to part 3 and 5?. goodnmovie thank you for sharing.
4:46 i guess farlang or whatever must be embarressed after what he said to the baron after he introduced himself
he is until they over use him.
i knew it... peter cushing was god all along
Hey, where is the part where the Count bites Gina?
KICK VAMPIRE ASS, TARKIN!
Van Hellsing casts CHRISTIANITY
it is not very effective
Baron throws CANDLESTICK
it is super effective!
Fuck the "Baron" I'd rather get "Involved" with Van Helsing...!!!!
