Hi, I printed a Tech helmet on a layerhight of 0.12 mm. Printing took in total about 1.5 weeks, making it smooth was a rather fast. 80% was smooth after 1 pas of filling primer and a bit of sanding.
This is an awesome video for someone like me who is looking into starting casting and who has already done 3d printing for helmets. Thanks man and keep up the good work.
Can we get an updated tutorial on how you slice your helmets? I also have a CR-10S and would like to see an updated tutorial
Yo man great content!!! could you please make a video where you show how to slice a clone trooper helmet? The wrecker helmet has a much simpler shape. I'm struggling to understand where to block supports and where not.
Are you able to make a video on leveling your printer I always have issues leveling I use the paper method to get it leveled

I love your weathering also when casting, do you cast your phase 2 helmets with the greeblies attached or 3d print and smooth those seperately each time

Looks great! But I believe Gree’s helmet is like a chrome base instead of the standard white base for the phase two helmet
Thanks for the comment! That’s not Gree. That’s my own custom helmet. I recently made Gree with the silver base and it turned out great!
@@3del_printing he probably means the one you are making for a friend, the one with the 212th batch
You’re right. The base is chrome, which I did. The fin and other parts are in fact white though.

these helmets are some of my main inspiration when creating my own, currently making a phase 1 helmet and wanted to ask how you fill in the rear of the fin in the galactic armory files? I'm kinda wanting to add an LED to that myself, but didn't know exactly how to go about doing that.

are there layered 3d printers or techniques that would not need the sanding phase or use resin and other similar materials? I've seen industrial ones do it so of course the answer is yes but is there something for the consumer space?
probably with those resin printers it should be possible

Do you have any tips for masking? I've found that any time I tty and mask it leaves tape residue and marks. I've tried different tapes, different times between painting and taking off, I've tried waiting for curing and spraying a clear coat before masking. And nothing seems to work
How warm or cold is it when you peel? I have more success when I peel immediately in warmer weather
@3del_printing I've tried in many temperatures, ill try that out. Do you think it would help in a warm room/near a heater or something?
