- Stepping away from my usual 80's metal...I was recently introduced to this band and saw them live. I was blown away by the energy, musicality, and especially all of the percussion!! They use everything from field snares, concert bass drums, xylophones, chimes, tambourines, etc. It sounds awesome both recorded and live and it inspired me to do this cover. Hope you like it!

I enjoy hearing and seeing your drumming in action Mike.
This band has an upbeat sound and vibe due to their Christian roots. Praise God!
Thanks Sal! Yeah the Smallbone family are a very religious group with great messages throughout their music! I love their use of percussion and marching rhythms which adds a unique flavor to their style!
I've always liked this song:)
Awesome sounding cover Michael and excellent drumming as always my friend 😎👍👊🍺
That drum kit sounds amazing
Right 👆🏾 💯 👏🏽 👏🏽 🔊 I love this Cover! 💪🏾 🙏🏾
Michael loved the underlying marching groove, you really dug in and created such a powerful drumming performance. You know I was giving the, woot woot, on the spin to a flip! Phenomenal brother!! This was like watching a battle with shots going off all over the place. Your precision and dynamics are second to no one!! Have a wonderful day homie!!✌️💪👍👊😁

Hey Mike. That was an impressive performance and an awesome cover! Your channel is one of my favorites - your playing and video production are top notch and it's always very entertaining to watch. Like #17! 👌😃
Thanks man! I'm seeing more of us V-drummers and it's becoming a huge community. So much fun to jam to our favorite classics and share online!
Pretty awesome! Congrats, dude!
Your videos are always a unique experience to watch, Mike. Sonically as well as visually. I love your relaxed yet tight drumming, songs are always great. And being an ambassador of drum samples, I have to admit that it’s impressive what sound you achieve out of the Roland module. Big like!
Thanks so much Mike! I can’t stop matching sounds in the module to match the recordings. Many times I have thought about sampling or upgrading to a different brain though the expense as well as the time and energy required to learn everything again always makes up my mind! Appreciate your opinion always
mfournier01 What we can do one day: If you are able to record just the MIDI in parallel, I‘d love to use my samples then to make a second mix. Would be fun!
Yes in regards to the sounds out of the TD-20X, I concur, Mike, as well as digging on Mike’s drumming.
Mike Luke that would be cool Mike. Only issue I have is I don’t record through midi of even use a daw. I record stereo outs 1/4” into a portable digital recorder! Old school bug it works rather well for me
mfournier01 Don’t mind, brother. The sound you achieve is already hard to beat, honestly. 😎🤟🏻
That intro was really cool Mike!! Everything sounds great and your drumming is killer as usual!!
Thanks brother! Means a lot to have your opinion my friend
