- Taking a break from the Blades Of Chaos to become Kratos from God Of War!! I'm making a quick Kratos costume to wear while using the Blades Of Chaos. Which is especially relevant since God of War 5 is coming! They will be perfectly accurate to my size so that I can wield them in real life like Kratos does in the games! The cosplay side of this isn't something I have a lot of experience with, let me know if you like the look of my real life Kratos stuff!

@@shakeemrios3484 it's very subtle but I think that Kratos does have a scar on his stomach in God of War 4 it Maybe really hard to see for the first time but if you do obsessively stare searching for every detail you can see that his scar looks more like cat scratch

He needs to get to level 5 with the blade of chaos still to get the secondary blade upgrade, making the the blades of chaos
Looks awesome man! Are you going to put the huge scar on his stomach from when Zeus stabbed him with the Blade of Olympus? Obviously not a huge detail, but it's a sick ass scar and chicks dig scars man.
Also he has a scar across his right eye as well.

I'm sorry I didn't remember this before- you can buy plastic chain that when painted looks just like the real thing. Not strong enough to attach to the swords of course but would be perfect for the gauntlets, just hot-glue short lengths of it to a wrap-around cuff that velcros onto your arm or could even be a permanent part of the suit. The chain to the sword can just be held in the hand or even bolted to the end of the cuff so all the chain looks like one piece.
Too late to redo what you've done so far, just a thought for future cosplay.
Shoulder piece looks cool as. Don't know about the sneakers though. You could have committed even mod and just got super jacked
I wish I had his outfit. Mixing it with a Viking shirt and some chainmail would make an awesome Viking outfit

Maaan...im a huge GoW fan. Kratos is my favorite game character. Lookin pretty good sofar. The suspense though...cant wait to see those bad boys in action. Dont forget the burns on his forearms, if youre goin for full authenticity.

For only your second attempt at painting muscle detail for a superhero style costume you did really well. The muscles looked really clean and realistic, and the shading worked pretty well. All in all this looks great
If you put extra fine steel wool on the blades and ignite em with a battery like in the modern rogue vid itd look like them more

Just curious why have the belt loop outside the shoulder? Why not have it hug the chest to also help keep the whole ensemble in place? Or is that visible specifically in the game files and I've never studied Kratos that close?

The most helpful and in depth explanation of the build process I've seen for this yet, you're a lifesaver! Do you think it's important for the belt to go all the way around? I think you could avoid the shoulder issue but cutting the belt in half and riveting it into the front and back pieces, but that's probably better for a full-leather build and might put too much stress on the foam.
Do you happen to have measurements of any of the pieces you used, the shoulder pads or whatever you yould call that front piece connected to the top shoulder pad?
Hope for testing out the blades you have differant things or a course or a in game battle mock that you tackle with the blades.

you should use an old lifting belt for the big middle belt he wears haha
I'm Not really a cosplayer so I don't know how it would end up but you could dry brush some Brown paint on the fur, chains and blades to make them a bit dirty and rusty. Also I don't know if you have experience with using those really small circular lights that I Think are called led lights but you could make some small cracks in the blades and put those lights in to make it look like the blades are warming up. Just my thoughts and an idea.

Hey there, I saw at least twice that you had trouble with clogging spray can
or spray thingis (I don´t know how these spray nippels called) but I have a pro tip
for you or at least a semi pro tip because Im also not a pro.
Your clogging problem is caused by the remaining paint in the spray cap and can valve
which dries out and clog everything. To remove the paint out of the system
turn the spray can upside down after finishing spraying,
so the gas in the can is in the bottom part of the can.
When you spray now in this position only the gas can escape und pushes the remaining paint out.
No more clogged spray cans.
Yes maybe at one point you will run out of the propellant while still paint ist remaining in the can but for me it was not much of an issue in the past.
Hopefully this is something new and useful for you and my terrible englisch is halfway
understandable.

The horn didn't make it in the final game. All he has on his belt in the final game is a pouch, knife, ash bag and eventually Mimir's head. Also he is not quite as pale as he used to be in the previous games.
