I said before the game PSU has no real passing game and could easily get suffocated by the OSU defense and that’s exactly what happen

Thank you for doing these
At the :50 mark its 3rd and 7. Olu Fashanu matched up against Jack Sawyer, both get off the ball quickly. Fashanu ends up over extending and to compensate pushes Sawyer at least a yard away from him, taking him to the ground. That is incredible strength especially when he was a second away from giving up a sack. Those are the plays that show how hard it is to beat this guy.
the hold at 3:15 on 44 is egregious. B1G officials are so bad this year.
Not sure what JT was doing at 1:09. He ran way too far up field and removed himself from the play
Fashanu looked bad at times in this one.
I'm not seeing the hype on Olu Fashanu. First round pick is reasonable because he has some great tools but I wouldn't take him top 10. His balance is not good and his anchor doesn't impress me. His awareness of stunts is solid, but blitzes can sometimes catch him completely off guard, and his kick step is very smooth, but sometimes he undersets against speed rushers and then gets off balance trying to gain leverage again.
I agree with you, he could be very good but he’s by far the worst tackle of Alt, Mims, fugua and Latham against power. All of them can anchor well and he just doesn’t
both alt and olu have been considerably overhyped. I'd put Fuaga and Latham ahead of both the LT's without a second thought. this is just a basic procedural problem of internet scouting and draft twitter: in-season hype trains are fueled by half-assed summer scouting and the takes/projections that emerge from it. I really don't know how much active evaluation is being done between September-December. As the twitter scouts get into their intensive post-season tape reviews, we'll see some course correction. I bet that Latham in particular finds his way into consensus top-10 territory, whereas Alt and Olu fall out. I've got Fuaga up there as well, but he's not going to get the shine that he deserves. Freakin Dane Brugler saying Fuaga will have to get moved to IOL. What a joke.
@@jonjonr4788 What don’t you like about alt, genuinely curious because I think he is very good and he is my tackle 1 as of right now, I have Latham and Fuaga at 2 and 3 and too 10 picks too though.
@martinr3511 let me preface this by noting that I've still got Alt as a top-20 prospect, so I don't mean to argue that he's a hopeless bust - just that he's been widely/substantially overrated, and I'd put him a solid tier below Fuaga/Latham. My specific points of criticism:
(A) Underwhelming play strength, very rarely manages to redirect/dominate defenders at the point of attack, and *never* - like never ever - delivers a jolt upon engagement. To me, that indicates an inability to exert concentrated force w/ his hands.
(B) His frame/height will inevitably expose him to leverage disadvantage against savvy NFL power rushers - technical prowess and high pass-pro IQ have mostly made up for his inherent physical vulnerability at the college level, but I wouldn't be especially confident that it'll continue in the league
(C) For a prospect this tall, long, and athletic, Alt gets beat by pure outside speed w/ worrying frequency - his feet definitely need work, and his general athleticism - while certainly impressive - is overstated, especially as it's expressed/applied in pass pro. I'll grant that his athleticism shines a bit more in the run game.
Bottom line: in most contexts, I'd still be inclined to take Alt ahead of Morgan/Paul/Mims (my OT's #05-07), even if I feel that all three have got higher ceilings than him... and I wouldn't fight too hard w/ somebody who prefers Alt to Olu (my OT #03), even if I disagree. But I don't even think he's in the same tier as the "Big 2" at RT, Fuaga/Latham.
