    Hi Dimitra. Since I discovered your recipe, I have made this recipe no less than ten times. For the last few times, I have used smoked Piquillo peppers. I can't tell you how easy and delicious is to make this Harissa. I also used dry Thai crushed pepper powder and I use different quantities depending on who will consume it. This recipe is out of this world. THANK YOU for this recipe.

      Have you tried the local restaurant supply suppliers? It is much less expensive there :) Here, it's called Restaurant Depot and the quality is very good. Comes from New Zealand :)

    • @MrFurnaceface
      @MrFurnaceface Před 4 lety

      Dimitra's Dishes .... we have Sysco here in Victoria , B.C., Canada and even they’re expensive. Occasionally locally raised lamb is available at a reasonable price but I haven’t seen any for a while. Our farmers in Metchosin have been having a rough time with a black bear killing their sheep. They can’t seem to catch a break. If it’s not the bear it’s cougars (mountain lions) decimating their flocks. We also have Salt Spring Island and Mayne Island lamb but that stuff is pretty much snapped up by the restaurants. A while back after you posted your American gyros recipe I went to buy some ground lamb only to be told nothing was coming out of New Zealand due to Covid. I used all lean ground beef and the gyros coupled with your Tzatziki recipe we’re a huge hit. Not being a baker I opted for pitas from a local Greek company. (Eugene’s)

      @@MrFurnaceface stop eating lamb...they are not nutritional as mutton or beef. Get goat meat from Asian halal butchers. Much better flavor and nutrition content.
