Basically a wearable blanket. Originally they were designed with the handicapped and the elderly in mind (people who were in wheelchairs and couldn't adequately cover themselves with a normal blanket or would get sores from having a blanket bunched up under them for long periods of time), but companies started marketing them to the general public with ads that suggested operating a normal blanket was some lost esoteric art that only a genius could manage.

Yeah, I mean who's going to brag about robbing the Gotham national bank, or blowing up the 'Thomas Wayne' memorial hot dog stand, or setting fire to the Waynetech batarang factory.
Doing evil in Gotham is so easy that you could spend a day listing your crimes of the year and barely get through the first week, kicking a puppy is probably the most interesting crime that year.
Out of all the villains in the legion Joker's probably the only one with enough stomach and general disregard for nature to kick a puppy and brag about it. Everyone else would probably be "jesus f-in christ dude, what is wrong with you?".

No matter the answer, it takes loads of effort (as in money) to develop and attempt to deliver to its "target" audience. Unlike products that everyone else releases, there's NO chance at profit, unless killing a goody-two-shoes superhero makes up for it all.
@@Diaphat 1. Kryptonite generally can't be "developed"; it's pieces of krypton; there's a finite amount on earth. 2. Luthor has figured out how to use Kryptonite as a power source in many continuities. He just doesn't make money off that because there's a trope named after that phenomenon.

@@theSixPathsOfTrains I'm not sure what's confusing about what I said. Just look up Kayne West Infowars and look at some of the articles that came about from some of the things he said. HIs reputation was already tattered and his appearance there and what he said ruined whatever was left.
I'd try to explain what he said in more detail but it seems like youtube is auto flagging my replies when I do, so you'll have to settle with taking the couple minuets to do the bare minimum searching to see that he did say some very concerning stuff.
