The sad problem and reality is that: "We The People" doesn't include us all. Which is why those not included will protest and continue their fight to be respectfully recognized and to experience their share of equality. Recorded history is usually a "one sided" story written by it's victors only. But human history and religion also has a lot of "deliberate" gaps, contradictions, hypocrisies and secrets. The purpose of repetitive propaganda is to force ideologies onto it's constituents in which also forces them into obedience.

But they do admit to the Holocaust and have many memorials erected throughout the country to honor the victims of Nazi crimes. Then again you don't have any statues in America honoring Benedict Arnold. Why not? He was hardly as bad a traitor as those Confederate traitors to the United States honored with those statues, all of whom tried to destroy the Union. yet you have no memorials there honoring the victims of slavery. Not even one of Harriet Tubman. In Germany its a crime to deny the holocaust whereas, in America, you're trying to make it a crime to teach, or even acknowledge the truth about slavery. Ironic.

@@TranscendianIntendor It's pretty simple, actually. Because the Vice President's role in the certifying of the votes by the House and Senate is entirely ceremonial, basically. They're there to make the whole counting of the votes official, and have no actual say in what any of the votes say.
It'd be pretty silly if the president or vice president could say 'Sorry, we don't want to leave so these votes don't count. Do it again until we stay in power.' Which is, essentially, what Trump claims Pence could have done.
