Working on your lunging abilities makes you a better communicator with your horse and by adding challenges like a jump to your routine, it can make it more interesting and more challenging for both you and the horse. the key here is to stay behind the driveline of the horse and push the horse forward, it's all about angles, geometry does play an important role in lunging, because you always have to be pushing the horse forward by keeping your body position, your belly button pointed towards the horses tail.
