Tire combo is from the 70's and not many people did it and it was a great looking and handling upgrade. Coming from a old man who changed them when they came out.
Black looks good on my 68 fierbird and any car! We bought a boss 302 engine in a box in 1972 I can't remember the year for $300.00! It was a really God motor put it in our 1964 Fairlane short track circle car love your boss 302 better than any I have ever seen!
My favourite Mustang......and I love all of the early ones! The Boss 302 and Boss 351s were the best small blocks in the US. The 327 fuelie heads was a close 3rd.
Boss 351 LT1 350 340 L79 327 Boss 302 DZ302 But only my opinion. Love all those small blocks :-) PS: Even though the DZ302 is last place here: with factory delivered options like the dual ram, headers and off road cam the DZ302 becomes a whole different monster. All engines here have a lot of potential for more with help of the aftermarket.
Stunning beast. And thumbs up , you are one of the few people who have the rear wing properly angled to produce downforce. The majority of drivers have the wing angled up in the front which actually creates lift. My B302 has the "W" code rear and along with the 2:78 first gear top loader it revs as fast as I can shift it. I added a Gear Vendor overdrive unit which gives me 3:55 final gear. I understand why you are a little nervous to overrev your original block. I mothballed my original block and replaced it with a Dart block keeping the original heads and intake. Happy trails.
my dad had a 70 302 BOSS ~ i would get in it all dusty in the shed . i couledn't wait to be old enough to drive it he sold it for alot less than it was worth . now its a restored show stopper, and not my dad's car =(
Glad I kept my 70 Fastback!!!!

Your comment about second gear and reverse is spot on. Our 302 is exactly the same....
Beautiful car. Your right black looks awesome on a 70.

Why did they put such a ugly LTD type steering wheel in these awesome cars in '70?
THE BLOW UP 302 WERE TERRIBLE
