I agree with you about how if you drive a 71 - 73 Mustang you won't ever want to drive anything else. I have a 71 Mach 1 I'm restoring, that I bought in 1981. I love driving my Mach, it glides around curves and rides so smooth it's almost like flying.

George, Evan, I love the talk about your Mothers at the end of the video. Mine is 91 years old now and still has a great zest for life. Her summer ride is a 1991 white Thunderbird Super Coupe with blue leather interior and a manual transmission in it. A few weeks ago she was complaining that her left knee was a little sore making it harder to drive the T Bird. So she parked it the garage and got a mid 2000 Mustang Convertible with an automatic trans. I will be joining her and my brother tommorow night at an annual large classic car gathering in a Southern Alberta Canadian City. It's like going back in time to real life American Graffiti with hundreds of cool rides cruising around literally everywhere. Gotta love our Mothers! Oh and that is an incredible collection George thanks again for sharing it with us.

The Legendary Mustangs imo. 1969/70 Boss 302s were the fastest Trans-Am cars of that era. Sam Posey did an article on all the old Trans-Am cars and stated, nothing beat the Mustangs on the straights...especially at the end of them. A 1970 Boss 302 could easily hit 8000 rpm by simply disconnecting the 6150 rpm rev-limiter and was the only Mustang(identical to that grabber blue) that ever beat my 1964.5 'D' code Pony(modified to about what a GT350R was making. About 325hp)......290hp my arse😅.
If it wasn't for those crappy Firestone tires, Ford would've of won the Trans-Am championship in '69 too.
    RIP Parnelli Jones
    RIP Bud Moore
RIP all mothers no longer with us...mine included.😢

Wow, that outro hits hard. Dad brought home a '65 GT-clone convertible the month after I turned two back in 1988, and it stayed in the family up until his untimely passing this last fall. It's here in my garage now, bittersweetly. All I can think about seeing these videos (and learning one of my Ford clubs has a visit planned to George's collection) is "man, I wish I could share this with my dad"...he would absolutely faint seeing a garage packed to the rafters with some of his favorite FoMoCo sheetmetal.

It was for sale but still out of my price range. The nicks, a bit of surface rust, iron showing thru the Ford blue engine paint - all make a hard argument against restoration.

He test drove it and found the clutch needed to be replaced and did not buy it. He still regrets it, they were asking $2,000 for it. I didn't even have to say it, George is a wizard and knew that I wanted to see a Boss 351. Here's an unusual request. Do any of the 429s have the Qjet on it? I would really love to hear a big bore short stroke BBF screaming through that Qjet. There is nothing like the sound of a V8 breathing through a perfectly tuned Qjet, the Thermoquad or other spread bores are close and I am willing to accept a suitable mean sounding spread bore carb open induction system with minimal silencers with a relatively quiet exhaust that doesn't drown out the induction sound.

Had lots of issues with it in SUPER HOT Texas. Lot's of vapor locking. It also ATE points! ha ha. It had the dual-points distributor and I had to replace the points every few months. Sadly, I traded it in to the Toyota Dealer in Lubbock. I wish I still had it (of course), but in that day, I couldn't afford "car collecting". What I had, I had to drive, and since the Mustang wasn't cooperating I had to have something that would! It had the dog dish hubcaps and the beautiful Polyglass tires.

Hi Evan, I recently discovered your channel and George’s incredible car collection and am an instant fan!
I’m a personal trainer and I have an older client of mine that asked me for some help selling his 1968 Shelby GT500KR convertible (428 Cobra Jet).
It is Candy Apple Red w/ a white convertible top and located in the Cleveland, Ohio area.
Are you able to reach out to George personally to see if he would like to add it to his immaculate collection, or anyone else that would be interested?

I would like to ask you several questions first of all let me say what a beautiful, incredible collection of imo the coolest car ever made I.e. The Mustang., Which car configuration would you say had the fastest ET in the quarter mile? I reallyr😊I love the Mach 1’s ,I have ridden in a 71 351 4bbl Cleveland and let me tell you it was very impressive! Can you explain to me the difference between a Boss and a Ram Air and a Mach 1?

Does George have a '95 Cobra R or a Saleen S351? I think I would enjoy seeing one of those run too. It's so rare to see a '90s Ford car with a 351w, besides the Cobra R and S351 there were only 3512V '90-'91 Crown Vic Police cars which were a bit light on power with only like 180hp. I always felt that Ford made a huge mistake by going away from the 8.2 and 9.5 Windsors. I got started as a teenager with 4.6 2Vs because they were cheap and less loved however the promise of the Modular was never reached until the Coyote became a mass market engine. The trucks were just sad until the Coyote and now all the wrongs have been righted with what began as the Boss 6.2 and has now come full circle to the 6.8/7.3 Godzilla as a true successor of the 351w and 460. I became an LS guy for years because of how limiting the modular program was for anything accept bolt ons or boost. Now the cost of a big bore LS is so great that the Godzilla has become immensely enticing, a bare Godzilla block is like $800-1100 less than an L8T and $1500-2000 less than an LSX or Dart 4.125"+ bore capable block and you start with a 4.220" bore and a 9.65" deck instead of a 9.2" deck that will only take a 4.2" bore at the absolute max and a 4.25" stroke at the absolute max, a Godzilla could go at least 4.280" bore and 4.6" stroke cranks are supposed to be in the works nearly 530ci n/a vs 470ci from a maxed out standard deck LS and it's a decently priced mass production block instead of a specialized racing piece or the 441-454ci you might be able to get from a factory GenV L8T 4.125"x 4.125" or 4.125" x 4.25". The only possible advantage of the L8T might be added compression with DI, more proliferation and standardization with the wide adoption of the GM engines. If you can assemble a standard Godzilla for the cost of an L8T bare block or a stroker for the cost of an LSX or Dart bare LS block and new production Godzilla heads are $600 each assembled it seems like an exciting proposition, even the most bare budget 408w with a Speedmaster top end seems difficult to justify compared to a 7.3 if you can assemble one yourself.
