- OK maniacs ol madman has been getting questions about greaser/rockabilly style tattoos so I decided to make a video covering tatts! From a bit of 50's history, to modern day greasers, the madman's rules of getting inked up, and the meaning behind my tattoos. Hope you all enjoy!

I never wanted a pinup as a tattoo because I thought it was so mainstream. I dont like doing what everyone else is doing. But damn, the reason and meaning behind yours is sooo true. I love that and I totally agree. Might get one 👍

This was a great video. The popularity and history of tattoos up until the 2000s is an amazing journey I never knew of. Glad to see how just a tattoo has an impactful meaning in the Greaser culture and the explanation was great! It's sad to see how burned out the culture of Greasers died. It was like the hippies and the feel of that era. I personally still love the Greaser craze and love seeing these videos. An origin on the hair cuts and what the special meanings behind them are. Good stuff cats.

Years ago I had a Cobra Snake done on my right shoulder. No regrets and still looks good.
I've got many tattoos. Majority are American Traditional but I do have a large realistic photo of Johnny Cash on my left arm. At a certain point, I was learning how to tattoo but I didn't finish my apprenticeship due to the massive Hurricane that came through my City back in October.

My great grandfather had tats all the way up and down his arms during even the time when they were frowned upon. He was also a zoot suit so my family has some roots back to rebellion of that era.

Hey, so quick question. I've always been into the greaser style, but in addition to that, I'm also very into the old school skinhead style (fred Perry shirt, suspenders, doc martens, stuff like that.) I always kinds mixed the 2 together. You you think these 2 styles go together? I mean they're both old school rebel styles, they both originated from the working class, all that.
You definitely can. Skinhead style has changed a lot since the 80s. It's far less rigid than it was. Plenty of skins have slicked hair or pompadours and wear bowling shirts and such. Most skins now days say it isn't even as much about the clothing style and more about the life style.

I really dig elephants. I live in a town out of which 4 circuses are based. In our Christmas parade, Santa rides an elephant instead of a sleigh. So, I've had a lot more interaction with elephants than most. But the saddest thing I've ever heard was about how they train baby elephants.
When the elephant is young and small (for an elephant anyway), they take it away from its mother and tie it to a pole that's planted and cemented into the ground. It will pull and pull, trying to get back to it's mother. They continue to do this, daily, until the elephant gives up and accepts that it's not strong enough to move the pole. When the elephant is grown, they can tie it up to anything and it won't even try to get away because it remembers when it was small.
I've seen elephants tied to folding chairs. Can you imagine a massive, powerful creature like an elephant being tricked into believing that it can'tmove a folding chair? There's something tragically poetic in that.
I'm not saying I agree or disagree with circuses, but from my understanding the circuses here are incredibly good to their animals and the trainers seem to genuinely care about their animals, but it's sad either way.
They don't care about the animals.

Got 2b pomade is not all that geat. Its gives a very light weight hold, the smell is amazing though, like cake icing.
I use to use it back in early 2000, and it worked great one of the best pomades I ever used.
Then one day I bought a new can and sadly they changed the formula. It took me many years before I bought another can of pomade to test it out once again, and its still junk. Dude, that vanilla cake icing scent was what got me hooked.
Yo! If there is a really good meduim hold pomade that smells like cake icing, I want to buy me a can ASAP.
I highly recommend Layrite's Matte Cream pomade. Its got the same whipped texture as Got2b, and it gives a very nice medium hold.
Only thing is since it is a matte cream, its not going to give you a high shine, you'll have to mix it with some vaseline in order to get any kind of a shine.

Are greasers allowed to wear slip-on dress shoes to go along with a white t-shirt and blue jeans? Personally, I'm too lazy to tie my shoe laces so I just went with a slip-on dress shoe.

whats a cheap price for palmade or clay because in used to getting murrys and thats like 3$ where im from but most others cost up to 15$. what do you think a cheap price is or at least a reasonable price
Depends on what your looking for and the quality of pomade. Off the shelf factory made shouldn't run more that around 5 dollars. Home brew pomades your looking at 12 - 25 dollars depending on the company and the ingredients.

I'm a 71-year-old greaser (forever, baby) and the one on my right shoulder is very fucking dirty and offensive. HA!
I've planned my one and only tattoo, that will absolutely be a forever tattoo.
And this tattoo that I am getting in the future will be part of a matching set.
My one and only future tattoo will represent a huge life changing commitment that will last until I die, and I am called up to heaven.
The day after mine and my husband's wedding day, we will get our wedding band tattoos together.
The man that marries this woman, this marriage, this commitment, before man, and God, will last until one of us is called home to be with our Lord.
Plus there are way to many people out there get tattoos and not really understanding the real life commitment a tattoo is.
And that is why I've only gotten henna tattoos, and stick on tattoos as a way to try out tattoos without having any unremoveable regrets later in life.

Yo madman nice video brother I have four tattoos myself and yes your right if you drink the day before which I did for one of my tattoos you BLEED LIKE A BITCH lol and now I got a scar there where the wanker kept going over the tattoo over and over again yes it came out ok but when I go and touch it I can feel the scar on it so madman or anyone else reading this don’t get a tattoo the day after drinking and if you do and your bleeding like a bitch just stop wait till it heals then finish it off
