    Great guide, and very concise. Actually subscribed because you structured your video so well. I can't be bothered to even watch most HOI youtube videos since you can already see by the thumbnail that its going to be some "TODAY, WE made the most KICKASS navy and WRECKED the allies. HERES HOW WE DID IT" *Large red arrow pointing at the most ambiguous shit*. Love the content so far. The refit cost is new to me, thanks for teaching me something.

    I tried this out as the USA and it worked well!
    Like what you said, slow and steady works best. I assigned 2-3 dockyards to the capital ships, and built as many as I could. I ended up with way more capital ships than I usually do. It helps with economy, once I start refitting I can lower the amount of chromium to trade.

    • @hyggegaming
      @hyggegaming  Před měsícem

      Yeah, the lower trade is a great perk for this. I hope you had fun with the Navy, the only thing that compares to a great surround is just crushing the enemies fleets :)

    I have spent last few weeks trying to build good navy as Italy, and after binge watching a lot of guides in the channel yesterday, i finally managed to build one. Previosly i have been just trying to maximize the output, knowing the proper fleet composition etc, but didnt really know the mechanics,- which resulted in me just maxing out everything in every ship. A lot of ic wasted.
    Managed to take down 250 strong british main fleet in med with just 110 strong fleet, without even doing the supermarina and imrpovements below that. Would love to get naval research guide from you guys too.

      Thanks for the comment and we are happy to hear you are enjoying the channel. Navy is a really exciting part of the game but it takes a while to really get it, i wouldn’t say i have yet either but Bager is coming real close now to cracking it. Nice that it’s giving results, the feeling of sinking an enemy fleet is always epic! :)

    Having tested this on Germany, with just the officercorps bonus it seem to cost you 4 days.
    That being said given that the time you spend building the hull you can research better modules i think this has some great merits.

    Very nice guide, can't play navy, but with your videos, I'll start learning how to do it 😅 would be nice if you could make videos in the future about multiplayer tactics,designs and fleet compositions. Keep it up ;)

    for cruisers if you wanted to get heavy cruisers like new orleans class, as usa, is it considered worth it to build cheap light hull and refit -> heavy cruiser by swappping main gun

    Which DLC has the MIO's? the BB was started on Jan 13, 1936. The finish date with one factory showed to be May 1941. The next cut you said the BB is built. Did you wait until 1941? Did you add factories to build it faster? Did you switch MIO's and add to it before it was completed? If so, how long before? I am confused and I'd like to try this method.

    • @hyggegaming
      @hyggegaming  Před 24 dny

      Great questions, the DLC is Arms against Tyrrany. The reason it is compleated earlier is that you gain efficiency by technology, so everythinh will be built quicker than the initial date because of that.
      The MIO switch comes when you refitt the ship, so the new design is made by the now upgraded MIO. So building MIO and designing are two different things.

    @erkkimattila5596 Před 3 měsíci +1

    At 2:44 you mention that the ship will get bonuses from the MIO that is doing the refit, which is incorrect. The MIO that is producing the line will only confer bonuses to the output, it is the designer that determines which stat bonuses the ship/tank/plane gets. That means that you can have "a design house" doing designs and "a production company" doing the building, though usually the MIO trees are structured so that this makes little sense, unfortunately. But bottom line is, that in order to get stat boosts from MIO's you have to change or upgrade them in the designer.

    • @hyggegaming
      @hyggegaming  Před 3 měsíci +2

      Thanks for the comment, i had to rewatch what I actually said :)
      You are totally right, its the designer that effects the stats and that was what i where going for. To make a refit, you make a new design with the upgraded company and therefore your refitted ships will have all those bonuses. So the tip works fine but I could have been more clear about that.

    hmm interesting, wouldnt expect it to be cheaper building empty and then refiting...
    I wonder does IC cost reduction affect refiting cost or only building cost ?

    • @hyggegaming
      @hyggegaming  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Ive been on to double check this for days but forgot :) The IC cost reduction also affects the refit, and refitting is also cheaper in resources.

    @Stouzough Před 5 měsíci +2

    Sorry I didn't get it: why would slower building (= less MIC) would be an advantage? Because you want to switch the naval spirit soon?

    • @hyggegaming
      @hyggegaming  Před 5 měsíci +4

      Its connected to focuses, if you have a focus that gives you 10% cost reduction in say Cruisers, and you can take that focus at the earliest 1939. You can plan your build so that you make sure to get that cost reduction to all your cruisers that you want build.
      So instead of just maxing out the amount of yards to each row of cruisers and build a series of them before 1939 ans the focus. You build them with fewer yards so no cruiser is finished before the focus kicks in. Giving you that cost reduction on every cruiser you build even before you can take the focus

    • @steelpanther88
      @steelpanther88 Před 4 měsíci +1

      @@hyggegaming are you saying basically that when you are slowly building them, then when you unlock the discount focus like Bureau of Ships, then you get bonus on the unspent industrial capacity, the amount of which is greater. but when you eventually unlock the cost focus then it should no longer matter if you build with max dockyards the same ship right? But this does not seem to matter so much for submarines because they can build so much faster than proper ships... aargh this is hard to plan with

    • @hyggegaming
      @hyggegaming  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Oh, it really depends on what you want to accomplish and how much industry you have to accomplish that. All doctrines are good for their purpose. We might do a guide further on going deeper into doctrines and when and why to use different ones

    • @DthScythe01
      @DthScythe01 Před 5 měsíci +1

      Not an expert here, but I spent some time researching navy stuff. The doctrine I would choose largely depends on the composition of the navy that you plan to have. Fleet in being (FIB) provides a lot of general buffs to several types of ships (mostly surface ships). Trade Interdiction are for hit and run fleets and submarines. Base Strike is all about carriers and air navy power. If you have carriers, then I would go with base strike, but play to its strengths and use them to port strike when not engaged in combat. FIB is the most balanced doctrine though.
