That's a given. The Cowboys rarely make it out of the first round. What's more likely to happen is Dallas will miss the playoffs all together. They didn't make any real moves in free agency and now their QB is not happy. Looks like 8-9 year

I don't know about "100% correct"....The very first off-season deal the Cowboys executed this off season was signing Trey Lance's $4.5M roster bonus, essentially keeping him on the team throughout training camp and into the 2024 season....then it was **crickets** and **tumbleweeds** from the Cowboys in regards to any other transactions for about a fortnight. Why would they pay about 5 million dollars to a player they think ain't cutting it in practice? And then saying, on camera, they (ie, Jerry Jones) [love] what they see in Trey Lance in said practices? For what, just to gain some non-existent leverage over Dak in contract talks? Makes no sense.....Nah, Brou just stuck in the "Trey Lance must be bad" narrative because no one has seen him play a snap regular season football in over a year. Brou's just assuming at that point.
Dak was good in the regular season when he was playing tomato cans.

To Be honest y’all don’t need a coach. The cowboys need an actual GM. It’s the nfc they should have at least been to the nfc championship. Especially as time has past and the afc has become top heavy. The path has been clear for years

Dak and Tony Romo are very similar. Slightly above-average QBs who can't beat the top-tier competition. The last time the Cowboys won Super Bowls they had a number 1 overall QB and a QB who won a Heisman.
Such a s**t take. Dak is 1/2 as talented as Romo. Romeo’s demise was due to injuries, not lack of talent.

Romo never had the same quality of team around him as Dak has for most of his seasons.

Jerry can't get out of his own way long enough to let a HOF talent coach his team, and he's the main reason that Dallas won't sniff a SB until he's out.
That 2020 Rodgers stat line is actually insane. 48 TDs to 5 interceptions, 122 passer rating and 13-3. Incredible. I was deployed in 2020 so I wasn’t able to keep up with that season.

Cowboys were in the drivers seat the past 3 seasons but drove into a ravine every season. They were loaded with talent and the budget wasn’t a problem. Now they lost everybody to their rival and their not so MVP QB carries the biggest salary in the league.

The Trey Lance discussion… do they not know he’s going into his last year under contract? Like that doesn’t reset the QB contract. He’s going into year 4 and he’s definitely not getting his 5th year option picked up.
Aikman and Romo are not on TV merely for being Cowboys QBs, they're talented at what they do, regardless of your feelings about them.
Joe Flacco and Matt Ryan could have won 10 SBs for the Cowboys, but they'd still be bland in the broadcasting booth, would not get anywhere near the money/opportunities as Aikman or Romo.
As someone who has never cared of Trey Lance, I feel bad for him. He’s turning into what might be the worst first pick of all time. JaMarcus Russell was bad, but this dude isn’t even close. Hasn’t played hardly at all due to injury, gets traded, and still isn’t worth it for the team who traded for him. It’s sad.

It’s pretty straightforward… in one of his best individual years and one of his best ‘team success’ seasons they lost a playoff game where he only assisted 14 points in 40 minutes.
That doesn’t equal top QB money. But I can careless what the cowboys do, and I’ve never thought Dak was a top 7 talent so there’s your grain of salt.
It’s crazy that Mangini cannot stop his face from showing his dislike of everything Nick says haha.

Dallas is telling you with their actions that they're moving on this off season. They're all in on one last season for Dak. No extension to cut his cap hit. He either proves it this year or he plays somewhere else next year.
I wouldn't pay him over 40, I don't see why people think he'll get 60 just because of the market. The play doesn't back it up so people won't pay that.
What screws up drafting now is if McCarthy gets fired, a new coach would prob want their own guy.

The last time the Dallas cowboys won a superbowl they drafted a first round QB, they need to switch it up, what they have done by not drafting high pick Qbs is clearly not working. not saying drafting a first round QB is a guarantee, but the cowboys need to be aggressive at the position that clearly is the most important and had been the most disappointing for the cowboys with Dak and romo. and I'm not even a cowboy fan 🤷♂
