    I bought the bigger glaco bottle and machine polished the front windscreen before applying it on there. Drove once back in the heavy rain on the motorway and didn't need to use the wipers with how much water was repelling off. Applied it to the side and rear glass and noticed it reduced frost buildup in the cold mornings when compared to other cars

    I´ve applied the Glaco onto my car windshield ...first washed it, then clayed it, then used the Glaco DX to make the glass smooth and finally the Glaco Ultra coating. It holds up great, it survived the winter and you don´t need wipers, when driving over 70 km/h (50 mph). And I may add, that you also want to buy the De Cleaner. I´m using it to wash the coated windshield, it cleans very well, leaves nothing behind and "revives" the coat. Soft99 guys did their magic again with this line!

    This is a product you really want to be using during the wetter winter months. Problem being DX does not adhere well (for me) below 10 Celsius, and it only lasts 3 months. So my December application was a failure. It does say this on the website, but who reads that nonsense 😅
    Anyways, its a great product when functioning properly.

    I’m keen to find a way to deal with the rear window glass. I have to drive on a gravel road to get to my house and obviously it gets super dusty, covering everything. The problem is that if there’s a bit of drizzle, or even dew overnight, it’s not enough to wash the dust off and it just turns to a thin film of mud or splotches, making visibility out the back difficult, particularly at night when manoeuvring, or if the sun is low. Any ideas?

    Bit late to this one. If you're going to rinse glass polish off (which is usually abrasive) get your wipers off the windscreen first before rinsing. If any of the abrasive gets trapped on the wipers then it's going to put those annoying wiper scratches straight back onto your lovingly cleaned and protected windows the first time that it rains.

    @Harry92evers Před 4 měsíci +2

    I'm going to post a comment based on experience, take from it what you will.
    This is a terrible product for the windscreen, and I would even go as far as to say it a safety issue.
    A majority of everyone driving, and I don't care who you are, is less than 50mph. This is where it's a problem.
    When it rains at these speeds, you have to use your wipers, regardless if its mist of lashing down. At night, when it's raining, you will have no choice but to use your wipers, especially when lights of another road user are coming towards you. Outside of a built up area where there are no streetlights, it's critical.
    When you use your wipers, it will leave a white smear across your windscreen for about 2 seconds. While that white film/streak is there, your view of the road is very hindered. Also, it lasts a long time, even longer when the product appears to not perform great or even go away.
    On a positive note.
    This is a fantastic product on the side and rear window as they are not affected by wipers.

      Ever had the streaking problem
      Yet this isn’t a product that magically clears rain away. It’s just another sealant product like every other product they want our money from. It’s helps with cleaning process. It does have a great effect when not using wipers or in between from the beading. It looks cool? lol. I can’t say with this product but the kamikazi product puts like a bluish tint on the glass or hazing which looks amazing when parked.
      Again. It’s like any product. It’s not magic. But everything stacked is why derailed cars look amazingly better then 99.9% of cars on the road

      Not sure why you feel so bad about Glaco. For me, it's been brilliant. The compound has got rid of the oily, grease, difficult to remove film or oil, that my Autoglym polish failed to do. The glass sealant has been better than any glass sealant I've used. Did my car in October 2023, and 4 months later, the beading is as good as in October. My windscreen and side glass have never been as clear. I am tempted to try the new Bilt Hamber glass cleaner, but I've loads of the Soft 99 glass cleaner left. I also use their products on my house windows, to great effect. The smearing might be because of your wipers and the cold weather. Wipers need cleaning as well, or new ones. Soft 99/Glaco compound and glass cleaner/sealant, are my go-to products, not used anything better. I use my wipers less and less, no need, the wind blows the water mist on the glass away. I highly recommend Glaco/Soft99.

    • @06kellyjac
      @06kellyjac Před 2 měsíci

      No...
      The Japanese is 「ガラコ」, katakana is used for foreign/loan words. In romaji "ga ra ko".
      Search that katakana on youtube (without the quotes「」) and open any cacaca video to hear it in Japanese. (0:32 on their 4 way comparison video)
      A japanese ra sound is slightly between your typical "ra" and "la" sounds.
      it's sounds taken from the english words Glass and Coating.
      So it's either Ga ra ko (if you want to break into japanese mid sentence) or glaco from the starts of glass coating.
      You can even see how they're trying to get you to pronounce it from the acute accent. And there is no ss.
      gláco.
